mainly the age difference . look at how she attacks 35:52..still young and energetic. lindan and lcw was like that at one point too.. but age catches up and when she hits 30 like marin another 21yo in the future gonna beat an se young same thing
@@osukasuyi1825 I get your point but ASY rarely attacks like that though, if you've been watching her in this world championship you'd know this is probably the most aggressive she's been the whole tournament. watch when she was playing against CYF in the SF, she rarely attacks like that because she's afraid of getting countered. I think the reason why she became more aggressive in the final was because she knew marin's defense wasn't that good.
ASY was coached to be more aggressive instead of just countering Marins attack. @@langsz
More than deserved! Since the end of 2021, she just kept improving, getting better and better. Congrats Se Young, next year you'll be olympic gold medalist.

The way she pass the shuttle by purposely hitting to other side when An SY won the point also showed it.
She even got at least a warning from the umpire for shoving the bird to the other side but away from ASY. Disrespectful to the fullest!
Marin acted like a child. Ofc it’s understandable to be frustrated after loss but having problems with hugging your coaches first who gave it all for that mutual success it’s just childish. Without a doubt she is a phenomenal shuttler but she is lacking class

After the game ASY went to Marin's side of the court to shake hands with Marin and Marin started berating her, I guess because ASY didn't went to the net right away after winning the match. You could see Marin was mad, I guess she expected to win this championship but ASY was too much for her and berating ASY was a way of venting some frustration. But Marin has done the same thing, she has gone to celebrate with her coaches when she wins a championship and her opponent has to wait for her!
Because she's a hypocrite that's why. And did you notice, no selfies of the four of them and she looked like an outcast in the podium. Because no one likes her. She may be a great player, but a great person she is not. Not even a good one.

The MANNER started from 8:45 here. An gets the shuttlecock near by the Umpire. It’s a very unpleasant game to watch. Of course there should be a lot of tensions between the players throughout the game but this is not the case.. would rather watch semi-final again and consider that was a final.

Thankfully, the umpire Eric, a fellow Canadian, called her out on it. She does this often, pushing the shuttle only a few inches into the opponent's side, instead of respectfully picking up the shuttle and passing it to the opponent.
@@jjashik7 I have noticed many top players including the Chinese players would pick up and flip the bird over the net to the opponent. That shows respect to their opponents. I have seen an umpire actually warning a player not to just shove the bird on the ground to the other side.
Congrats to ASY -- no one has dominated women's singles like this for the last 10 years!
I hope Okuhara gets back to full fitness because she's the only one who can match ASY now. Impressive that she was half-fit and still the only one to take a set off ASY!

Wow didn't expect this scoreline, she is simply one step ahead of all the top 10 players. If im her coach I also dont know what will be her next target.. aim to win all opponents under 5 points?
I expected the scoreline because Marin almost lost a game against Akane who was playing with a right foot injury. In contrast, ASY comfortably dispatched a relatively in form CYF. The result is to be expected.
ASY is a class act, sportsmanship and respect for the oponent

It's amazing that besides CHEN (who is yet to become a world champion) and AN (who's the current champion), the other two ladies both have two world championship golds.

I don't think Marin frustrated because ASY didn't shake hand with her first. It was because in second match, she thought she can have a hope when the point was 10-10. Then ASY won 11 consecutive points and got the title. It was just like a slap in her face and she couldn't stand it. The shaking hand thing was just a minor reason.
I think it is a total disrespect not to shake the opponents hand immediately after the match whether you win or lose. You can celebrate after that as much as you like with your team mates, coaching, spectators etc, but you don't run off and leave your opponent waiting.
