    Wow you're such a good teacher. I'm a novice crocheter, and really just know chain stitch, double crochet and slip stitch to join for the beginner projects I made so far. I couldn't believe this beautiful pattern is so simple in it's stitching that I can use my few stitches I already know and succeed. Once I got used to holding it different angles to crochet around the bars, I was just flying through those crocodile scales. Thanks so much for this beautiful shawl.

    • @BonnieBuggie
      @BonnieBuggie Před 2 lety

      ooooh how did you connect the small triangle?? I was thinking of making a dragony colored shawl with this but I was worried making it long enough down the back would make it too wide on the sides :/ but making multiple triangles sounds like it would work perfectly!

    I saw others do this stitch . It looked so hard, except for the one done in Spanish. It was totally different but the results were the same. It looked easy, but I couldn't find an English version. I'm glad you did this one. It looks easy. I crochet in the truck as we go to see our son and daughter in law, or my father in law.
    I did 3 of your sea side shaws. And I don't mind you being thorough it helps me alot. So, many thanks. Have a peaceful day.😊

    I love the slip stitch tacking part so that the scales aren’t floppy and loose! I’ve used this stitch to make a baby Cocoon with the Red Heart Unforgettable yarn. Unusual for a baby color but it was for the Owl Cocoon. The color ways are so rich and beautiful! I would highly suggest doing a shawl in the Red Heart Unforgettable yarn!
    Lion Brand has a similar yarn called Landscapes but it is a thicker, heavier yarn and I found the Unforgettable yarn a lighter yarn and just perfect!

      It would be tricky actually. Most ponchos are worked from the neck down, whereas this pattern is worked from the bottom up. Its all about the alignment of the scales. Also it would probably be very heavy unless you used a fine weight of yarn.
