Dale Earnhardt never lost track of who he was, just an ole country boy with unbelievable driving skill(s).
as he even said in his CMT documentary because we win doesn't change my attitude or my way of life.
Isn't that incredible?.
@@ramirobenavidez1975 It. is.
He's so down to earth. Amen ✝️ 👍
I did something to a mini adult at Lakewood pallacec
Wow how far this series has fallen since the Dale Sr days. I don’t recognize it anymore
I don't watch it anymore and I quit any updates on RCR now that Kyle Busch is driving for RCR not good "!
He is still the GOAT . Nascar has never been the same since he died
You're right it's better now it's safer
@@chrispennington6890 safer maybe but it’s not better . TV ratings down , teams having trouble finding sponsorship , attendance down .it peaked in the late 90’s early 2000’s . I’d be surprised if the sport doesn’t die off entirely when they try to go all electric down the road . I’d love to see the sport make a serious comeback
@@chrispennington6890 It's not better.
@@chrispennington6890 I agree it is safer and that's a good thing for all parties involved but part of NASCAR's appeal was you could die doing it because many did.
I'm glad NASCAR is safer but it is not as entertaining. I also miss Dale so much even to this day and would love to still have him with us.
@@chrispennington6890it's safer for sure but it's not better! I remember when I had to wait 4 years for a ticket at Bristol! That race would sell out three to four years in advance
I like Dale when a lot of fans didn’t like him then all of a sudden everybody likes him when he passed away… got punched in the face in a bar because I was wearing one of his race shirts back when he was still alive 1991 I believe was the year.
I grew up in the town that Neil Bonnett, and Davey Allison was from. As a kid in the early 90s I would occasionally see them and the rest of the Alabama Gang. I miss those times.
We all miss the Intimidator.
Neil was one of the best in NASCAR. Earnhardt The one... The only... The BEST ever in NASCAR. There will never be another Dale Earnhardt. Thanks for sharing this. It's the first time I've seen it.
RIP Earnhardt RIP Bonnett
Neil was a great driver too.
Omg Neal Bonnet, what an awesome guy he was!!
This is gold, always loved seeing Dale and Neil together, to good friends having some fun, really is sad there both gone. RIP #3
great documentary on the life of dale really i like that
This is a nice peice on Dale's career. Never knew it existed
He is and will always be my favorite racer !!!
I'm an Aussie, but I would love to have that deep-south accent !!!!!!
I would love to Trade accents with you
Yes, I am southern 😁
Twenty one years after Dales death it’s weird to watch a video of Dale’s life while he still alive.
I love seeing Dale and Neil fishing in a bass boat in Dale’s pond! Classic footage. Dale is the GOAT in my book
I miss those days and Especially Dale
Neal and Dale at the beginning brought tear to my eyes. Both men died at Daytona.
Legends never die
Man ole man. This clip does 3 things, 1. Solidifies more why Dale Earnhardt was so popular because regardless if he had $1 or tens of millions of dollars, he’s still gonna go fishin or wear his britches & boots & never forgot who he is. 2.Reminds us of the true talent & skill he had in his profession but no skill out does drive & desire. 3.Takes us back to a simpler, happier, & more common sense driven time of life & history & tht watching anything in tv today, makes you truly appreciate & have tears, not tht it’s gone, but tht it happened
exactly clearly why Earnhardt will always be a legend, a man who would scare his drivers during a race on Sunday but a simple man who lived a quiet life and worked on his farm every other day and was always approachable. Da Bob Seger song, "Still The Same" fit him perfectly in how through all his fame and over $41 million acquired he never changed himself as a person.
@@bizzy24100 He turned into a better man as he got older.
@@ethanweeter2732 yup he did
Very true
Spot on. I know I've fished with him..
I saw Dale Earnhardt win twice at the races I attended. Charlotte and Bristol. He is the greatest ever. I miss him so much, and the way racing used to be .
He was my driver. I only saw him win in person one time and it was also at Bristol. The 1999 night race. He spun Labonte almost in front of us. We were kinda down the backstretch a little afrer turn 2. I miss those times. Wish Winston was still the sponsor. Only time I ever heard a majority of the fans boo him. After he was killed I only went to about 5 more races. Just wasnt the same.
Fun to watch this on my 53rd birthday years later as Dale took his 53rd win at the Coca-Cola 600 ... So cool ! Dale won on my birthday August 28th, 1999 at my favorite track Bristol... what a birthday present THAT was !
The start of the vid says it all - RIP Dale and Neil
That was a clean rip of a vhs. Whoever did that did an excellent job. Thanks for sharing.
THE MAN
I wish I could go back to this time! The cars the semis the drivers and the time when global warming wasn’t push down our throats I wish I could go back in time because I would! Rip Dale we miss you!
Global warming is a serious issue it needs to be addressed.
@@dolantho yeah, sure it is…..snowflake.
Let me tell you as a kid that grew up then no they didn't talk about global warming they talked about dumbs*** like the ozone layer and acid rain ... They actually talked about it they just called it the greenhouse effect.LOL NASCAR was really good back then man. Just remember though if you were alive to watch it you'd be an old man like me 🤣... I'm not that old I'm the same age as his son actually me and Junior are almost born in the same time 🤣
I will never forget the 2001 Daytona 500 I was sitting in turn 4 right where Dale died that was the worst day of my life and that was one hell of a race thanks for sharing this video with me
Did you see his body crumple in the crash or him being pulled out in bad shape?
@@ethanweeter2732 no I was already gone I was on my way back to Maine when I found out he died
I was sitting on the back stretch with binoculars on Dale Sr. Didn't even think it was that bad of wreck..The big crash happened right in front of us..It was my first trip to Daytona..RIP SIR
Only one thing to say love you Dale✌🇺🇸♥️👊
I’ll never forget those days at the track when I was a kid pulling for The Intimidator. Talledega was larger than life at that time. I remember being wide eyed the whole time I was there.
i was in that Earnhardt line back in 1988 at Michigan. been in that line a few more times. standing there listening to Dale interact with everyone was a fun thing to be a part of. ol Dale was a big flirt, but nobody was offended, its how he was around the ladies. Dale had charisma..and made everyone feel special for a breif moment you spent around him..is the Dale i remember. man i caught a glimpse of the insides of his Deer Head race shop...niceee. ty for sharing this.
I'll never forget the race that he finally won
I will never forget the Daytona 500 2001 when I was sitting right there and turn 4 where Dale died that was the worst day of my life
@@billnason7098 Saddest day in racing history maybe.
I’m very certain that Dale and Neil picked right up where they left off in Heaven. Dale always stayed grounded as the hard working blue collar man that many people related to. Raise Hell Praise Dale!
I hope jr. Cover's this friendship between Niel and Dale on his podcast soon.
The good old days
What a great and rare footage of Dale.
Saw him win at Michigan. Was the 1st race id ever been too. My dad at the time was a group president at Caterpillar & we had hospitality tent passes & pit passes. Met Dale briefly, he was busy but made time to meet our entire group.
Dale is one of the best of the best who's ever driven a stock car ever
I thought I had seen everything ever made about Dale! Thanks so much for uploading this! Him and Neil are both my all time hero’s
And they both died doing what they loved
Losing Neil was something Dale never really got over - obviously he learned to live with it but -
Edit - I love Ned - What a good man -
It’s crazy that dale grew up in a home that looked almost identical to my family home I grew up in
GOAT
These videos break my heart...
Glad I Got To Meet Him In Darlington
I got to meet him at Greenville Pickens Speedway when I was a kid so awesome
im a bit confused why people need to keep telling me that Dale died at daytona, God bless ya. i know its emotional and i know a lot of you love Dale, but, I just want to enjoy watching something I've never seen!
Don’t you love how the person who had the least to do with all of it, and probably held him back the most, wanted to be front and center when things were going good in victory lane.
Boy this brings back a lot of memories.
Happy birthday Dale
Wow how much I miss you Dale or not I remember Waking up and watching every race on Sunday with my father and he would always tell me who were the attimidator don't let him get on your back bumper my father would say I enjoyed watching them through Is late eighties early nineties All the way up Tilly passed away In Daytona We love you Dale sport It's not the same without you
Wow, thank you thank you thank you. What a treasure. From a life long diehard earnhardt fan. Thank you
Greatest man ever love him so much nascar is nothing now n never will be!
great show!!!
These 2 Southern men , Bonnett, and Earnhardt were NASCAR. Since their passing ( doing what they love ) NASCAR AINT NEVER BEEN THE SAME. And it never will be like that again. At least I was alive to witness it.......Real Racing, THE LAST OF THE TRUE SOUTHERN RACERS!! God bless um ALL!!!🤠
Thanks for sharing, have never seen this before.
Be still my heart.
President Bush was like "I cant believe Dale Earnhardt is talkin to little ol' me." Ha.
Thank you
One fans might not know. Dale and others had 4 wheelers they rode on Dale's farm. Neil bought a brand new four wheeler showing up to ride with Dale and soon after Dale pulled along side Neil then turned into him hitting his shiny new machine who after gaining control and stopping asked Earnhard why he hit him. Dale smiled that iconic smile and answered he wanted to be the first to put a tire mark on his new four wheeler. 😊
Its crazy looking back at clips of the 90s. It looks so old now. I grew up in the 90s. And i remember a whole lot. I remember the box tvs that looked like wood with the knobs. We even had a black n white one at my grandparents house. Using the antennas and putting tinfoil on them to make them work better. Playing my super Nintendo and sega. My rock uncle that was into Metallica and stuff like that with his long hair. My other uncle with his tack suits he liked old hip hop music. My aunts that listened to a lot of the old music like the Beatles.
Awesome, thank you for the upload!!!
I absolutely lo e Dale, haven't watched a single race sense he passed.
You should now. Gotten worse because of too many rules, but the racing is good.
I liked Dale but Davey Allison was very good and Tim richmond was better and Alan , but can say a super late model driver if someone dumbs me I will dumb them back and make sure he don't win. Plan and simple Terry at Bristol was bs
@@ethanweeter2732 the safety has changed but they've always had pretty much the same rules it's even gotten more exciting this year with the defensive driving
If you should I mean Nascar has gotten great if not better

Great video!!!!
Great video.
Never seen this ! I'm excited to watch let's goooo
This is incredible nothing beats the real orginal footage. This Had to be late '92-'93 if Neil was still there. Two legendary racers. Dale still is the ultimate driver.
Holy cow this is brilliant!!!
Best stock car driver ever or will ever be. His closest competitors Aren't even close, which are jeff Gordon & Tony Stewart. Jimmy Johnson really never raced during the times when they just let em go.
Look a time when you didn't look like your about to blast off to space
Thanks for uploading this. I was up in the stands for all those Charlotte races they featured.
I’ve never seen this before actually never knew it existed. The interview with him and Neil was filmed in the deer head shop at DEI. I would like to know what exactly was in the deer head shop and the condition it is in.
@Rock MacConcharraigh shame she such a 🧙♀️
Dale and Neil were 🦌 hunters and best friends. That's where the trophies were kept for at least Dale.
Neil and Dale two legends rip
Jr's Grandpa at 45 and his Dad at (almost) 50, I'm glad Dale Jr. decided to lift and enjoy a few days.
Amazing upload, thank you
Thank you for posting this up. Never saw this till now.
I'm about to embark a journey to Charlotte this coming weekend for the first time ever. After that pay a visit to hall of fame museum, the ol RCR shop and the town of Kannapolis. It's going to be hard being there and not get emotional. Been a fan for too long. Not forgetting all the memories of watching him race. I don't think there was ever a wheel man like Dale. He race so hard that the tires gave out before he did.
'92 wasnt the best of times too for Dale and the crew dispite being one of the best racing seasons in the history of Nascar Winston Cup Racing. Only 1 win did the GM goodwrench crew got and it had to be that Coke 600. From there it was a struggle just to stay in the top ten in points.
'92 was also the first time I attended a nascar race with my dad at Michigan for the June race. Davey Allision just dominated. He put Earnhardt a lap down and he finished 9th in that race! At least it was a good father day's present for my dad since he was a DA fan....I can go on and on with the memories..
RARE!
My first crash was A little Ford tractor, my foot slipt on the cluch at the end of the row, while racking hay the tractor wheeled into a fence post and nocked out the radiator.O my dad was mad. Miss watching you Dale!
What a great video! I'd never even heard of it, thank you for uploading it.
I thought I had seen all of the footage back in the day. Good job on this video guy.
Awesome! Thank you for the upload!
Thanks for uploading, Matthew! Great video of historical importance.
Losing Neil was something Dale never really got over - obviously he learned to live with it but -
Dale is and forever will be the best driver
Right being Richard Petty
Mark Martin was Always my number 2 love that guy too The number 6 Valvoline
Man Dale and Neil were very great drivers I like them both.
Martha Earnhardt said he died in kitchen not in shop
Dale Jr.'s Aunt Cathy was on his podcast, and she said Ralph died in😅 the kitchen.
Really enjoyed this
Looks like they are in his deer head garage
Both Neil and dale died in turn 4 at daytona 7 years apart 😢
Sad for sure. Similar looking crashes too, right? Neil crashed alone, but he hit at the same angle and had similar damage I believe.
30:44 Seeing Neil and Dale together is honestly kind of sad since they would both die in tragic accidents

This interview must been 93...
Teresa Earnhardt was a witch in Disguise
I agree with you I think alot of people feeling the same way ""
She's a gold digger
@Bobby Nelson why didn't you try out to be Dales wife? imagine being Dale Earnhardts wife, and what pressure that must be to even fit in, let alone belong. imagine, what it takes to be his equal in the sheets, or at the diner table. she had to teach that block head how to LOVE Her, Dale didn't know what love is or was, ask his kids. Dont be so quick to shame teresa. YOU didnt have her discissions to make. Teresa is cold, why? she's deaf. the Deaf do not register feelings like you and i and do come off harsh and cold in dating situations (i know im married to on) its all vibes for them. ok apparently Teresa got good vibes from Dale. How Dale & Teresa got together and took over Nascar as Nascars first Championship Couple, is a romantic story worth telling. they were Made for one another honestly.
@@simr2435 she's still a witch no matter what you say especially when she buried Dale at the back of the property and won't let Dale Jr or none of his family visit his grave
@@bobbynelson2481 why are you taking it so personal. is it because you like to see your feelings and opinions in print? i bet you aren't a witch either, so lets ask your husband. have a better day!

I know I’m not the only one who strongly dislikes seeing Teresa!
Same here.
Daytona 2001 went to my first nascar party and that was the last !
For me NASCAR died with Dale.....haven't watched since.
Dale Sr should have had his personal wishes in a solid will. He saw the type of woman he married too. She resented any Earnhardt before her. What a self-centered narcissist.
I agree
VHS players had a knob on them labelled "tracking" back in the day. Later machines did it automatically. It seems you are using an older model. If you have a chance to re-transfer, look into it. Thank you for the effort. Great content.
