I enjoy listening to classical music and I also enjoyed listening to classical players like an ester cortazar. I'm recorder player as well and I enjoy listening to young lady. I just wish people would take different approaches to playing different instruments. It might be to their advantage to learn their possibilities which are unlimited. I believe especially with the talent that some of these young people have.

it's to make it appealing to younger folk, but it tries to synchronize the cut with on the beat one... it emphasizes the accents in the music visually
I'm more interested in why they shoot from behind the mandolin... I'm pretty sure the music happens on the fingerboard, not behind it...

Yes. Cutting shots faster than the music is a big fault of the direction. It is a shame. It is tempo clash and it spoils the video. Hint: Close your eyes and go over to unaided ears.

Antoine A pity you have got no answer to this. I have been intrigued by it myself for three years, though I wonder whether it is just an optical illusion. I presume you are talking about using the second bone in the finger, after the first joint, rather than the finger tip?
Also intriguing about this video is what she does at 0:28, when she plays the four consecutive B notes. Why does she raise and reset her second finger on hole 5 each time rather than just leaving it there and blowing four notes??
