Some countries ban polling within 10-14 days of an election and ban the release of polling data within 5-7 days of an election. The polls are so misleading . "1500 people were polled and 32%..." They're statistically insignificant but the pollsters won't admit it. I've hung up on "non-biased poll"... who then went on to ask very biased questions or use biased verbiage. I told one pollster who called about "Obama care", "It's called the AFFORDABLE CARE ACT. If you're going to call people and claim to be unbiased, you should know the correct name of the legislation." The pollster thought the legislation was actually called "Obama care."
On days like this I do miss Meghan McCain on the panel, dying inside pretending she can tolerate the results

Whoopi has been saying for years about polling not being accurate. Alyssa was excellent in this segment; it was refreshing how the other ladies had questions for her and allowed her to talk.
The polls weren't bad but the vibes were off!

Woke was coined in the states and started out meaning just that. It's just White republican politicians appropriated the term and used it against those fighting for that liberal change. And lies about Europe - I a m French and American and far right politicians all over Europe use the word "woke" in an unflattering light and to critique it. It's even more hilarious to hear this slang English term used in a French context by the likes of Marien le Pen and others. It truly has been separated from its original meaning because of global conservatives. This not unique to the US now....don't bash without facts.

I LOVE that the women are really engaged with Alyssa, they’re asking her questions about the Republican perspective, and the conversation is so easy!! So happy the tone has really shifted and balanced itself out. Love this group.
She is way better than Meghan because she is mature and confident whilst being civil. But, idk about the tone shifting totally or that the group is perfect. I think they need to get rid of Whoopi. As the moderator she often puts her opinion over others and her opinion is often very dense and ignorant and frankly hypocritical. Joy doesn't add anything but snarkiness and it stopped being funny it is just dull. And in the last year specifically, Sunny has been very toxic and uninformed yet weirdly righteous about it which I am not loving.

What Sunny said at 2:00 is exactly what happened to me. It sounds like her friend may also live in Harris county, it was like almost 100 pages, you had to pick out your candidate each page, then print them on these huge pieces of paper and feed them into a machine. I didn't realize that was a voter suppression tactic. I just thought the polling place I chose was old fashioned.
Yes that is a tactic they use its definitely known as voter suppression. Think about it alot of people cant read believe it or not, then you frustrate people and they get discouraged and leave without voting. The Ballots when I lived in Illionis 25 years ago were so simple you can hit one button and vote straight Democrat or Repulican period or follow the script to split ticket and be done. I now vote in Georgia and there is no such button for that choice, you have to put in x in all boxes for each candidate which is a little more time consuming. The point is voting should be easy now hard and when it's not hence "voter suppression" it come in many many forms. Example college students away can't vote in their college towns because their ID might have their hometown state but you won't let them identify themselves using their school Id's. Crazy hit happening mostly in red states.

Dude … I just love this season. Do you see how when everyone can respectfully disagree they can bounce around, ask follow up questions and be really engaging? Everyone kept asking Alyssa question after question because she enjoys and has fun answering them. She’s so charismatic.
And I hope that this season, going into the midterm has shown you how different these ladies actually are. I think the general disdain for Trump has made everyone feel like they’re all on the same page but they’re not.

The thing is, if the GOP had won by say 40 house seats, took the majority in the senate, won more governors, brought more election deniers into congress, etc, they would have had way more republican officials (specially in the 3 blue wall midwest states) who could collaborate with Trump in staging a potential 2024 coup/insurrection. I think you’re right. I live in TN a very conservative area and the past 30 years republicans and democrats vote for John Mark Windle Democrat for our house representative. He wins it easily except this year he lost. I’m republican and I’m shocked but I think it’s because TN has had thousands of people move here past couple of years and I think they don’t know John Mark so they just went in and voted straight red not knowing anything about anyone.
