This is amazing! I spend so much time stretching out my hips and hip flexors and I feel great immediately afterward, but I never gained any flexibility and my hip flexors stay tight. I will definitely be watching the breathing video next.

Another amazing PT pearl of wisdom. This speaks volumes to me and I’ll be revisiting your episode on breathing/breathe work.

Thank you for this video. I have suffered from hip issues for such a long time that I thot maybe its just something i'm going to have to live with. I broke him hip when I was a child and then in my early twenties had birth control injected into my hip for 8 years. And in my mid 30's had asl surgery done. I feel like with this video I have hope of feeling more mobility and less pain and tension in my hips.

I think that the hip extension is the source number one of it due to a posterior femur.

Awesome...where are you placing the ball?

If you are talking about the Courageous ball, we usually place it right underneath the abdomen below the ribcage!

what about athletic overuse of hip flexor? mine is not a strength or length issue, but i just overdid it (bicycle, sudden increased speed/intensity). i cant find any pertinent information, because there is oversaturation of strengthening/lengthening, when weakness and flexibility were not the cause of mine. im very confused. what do i need to know to sort this problem?

If it was an overuse injury then the best way to get it to calm down and rehabbed back to your normal form would be similar to this here. Use mobility to help calm down any symptoms and then start strengthening exercises. After that, progressively work back into your normal load.
