you can't help but admire the energy of "i wanted giant katsudon bowls to exist, so i made them exist"
That crunch though. God damn.
The restaurant looks really cosy and charming as well.
I love how the origins of this effectively boiled down to
"Why did you quit being a Sumo and start cooking?"
"I was hungry"
he's doing way too much lol
The pure strength and conviction behind those words "I wanted to cook what I wanted to eat". If I ever visit japan, I'm definitely visiting. Everything this man cooks looks absolutely delicious!
It is such streetfood it isn't that special in Japan this is such Japanese fastfood you can find millions of better places to go @ Japan I mean it sir
he only cooked one dish
It’s just fried pork, you can make it where ever you live 😄
It’s a pork cutlet restaraunt. The last restraunt you would want to visit in Japan. Other than the clap restatraunt
@@oldironsides4107why? Can you explain?
Although I will never get to eat this, thank God this man exists in the world. Those are beautiful cutlets.
The sound of the cutlet's crispiness is so appetizing...

My wife watches me lose weight, I showed her this video and told her I want to be a sumo wrestler, now I'm ordered to run for an hour
The sound of the knife slicing through the cutlet is just as appealing to me as the foods appearance. Awesome!!
This is a feast in a bowl! Absolutely mouthwatering!
That swine looks horrible bet it tastes worse
there's something about his food that looks so homey and comforting 🥰
That shit's straight out of Monster Hunter.

or did you mean seol?
@@america1st721 *angry upvote*
@@america1st721 nice pun but seol (more correctly, Seoul) would be Korean, not Japanese
@@wafflepiepancake TY spell check, and we don't know where this chef is from, so I'm ok with korea.
@@america1st721 The chef is a sumo from Japan.
Look at the size of his passion into each dish he made
I just love japan >3 and their kind people! looks really good
Omg. The size 😮 Delicious 😊
I love how down to Earth his reason for starting the restaurant is. If whatever you're getting isn't enough for you, just cook your own food. And if you feel the same way, there is likely others that feel the same way!
I couldn't find anyone willing to serve human meat, so I had to do it myself. Relatable man.
You can start by digging the cemetery.

This my favorite Japanese food. It is so mouth watering 👌🥰
Is that soy sauce he's putting the egg into and on top of the cutlet?

That looks delicious! 😋

The normal sized cutlet bowl is roughly $9.50 USD. Considering the level of quality and passion, that's amazing.
Tonkatsu and katsudon are my favorite Japanese food. Impressive presentation!

Me too😁😆
Thank you for uploading this video 🙂.
I love it when he slices the cutlets
I desperately think with that jumbo thicky ka-tsu-don recipe. 🤣
I feel happy when I imagine the texture of this pork cutlet and the bursting juiciness and flavor.

Asombroso plato Katsudon¡¡¡

i lived there for 2 Years and YES, the portions are giant!🤣 i went there several times with my gf and friends, not to mention the beer, delicious!!!🇩🇪❤️🇯🇵
I'm really enamored with the idea of just sitting down and being given the ONLY thing that the restaurant makes. No conversation, just sit down and then food shows up.

Thank you for posting this. I enjoyed watching.
Mave ive seen this guy in a few different channels now, so glad that his business is doing well, will definitely visit next time in Japan! :D Love your channel Mogumogu!
THAT'S what I'd call a "cutlet bowl" - definitely not for the faint-hearted, but soooo good !
This is really inspiring. This man is doing what he loves for a living. Kudos!
That food and the prep looks amazing 👏 I wish..
Many things in America are huge, but gimmicky... This looks, massive, delicious, and reasonably priced for the amount of food and care that went into it. Awesome.
Honestly for me the size looks excessive but at least the food is made with care and passion rather than rolling off a corporate production line made by people who hate their jobs. I bet its delicious but I probably wouldn't be able to finish it.
@@BlueZirnitra the entire point is to be excessive no? It's made by a former sumo wrestler to his tastes
@@BlueZirnitra It's body-builder food mate; excessive food for excessive muscles.
@@heinzarniaung2915 to both: yeah I know, I know why it exists. I'm just saying, it isn't for everyone. A lot of "big food" is made with zero care.
Yeah I live in Canada and most meals while taste good don't have much meat, I understand meat is expensive. Meat is a health food though, makes you full. When I walk around at there is alot of obese people, it's probably all the carb heavy food.
I have to go here and eat this cutlet bowl. LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT CUTLET! I need that!
It looks so delicious. I can smell it from the screen.
OMG! That looks ssooo tasty!
Oh, yum, this looks so good!
My god, if I ever go to Japan, that's the only restaurant I'd need.
Amazing close-up shots
I'm always amazed at the quality and care given to the prep of food in the east compared to here in America. The food looks SO GOOD, healthy and real.
Thats because you're seeing the good places on this channels. Those exist in America too.
Like Paperkutchy says, there are good places in America(an indeed anywhere in the world, you just have to go out and look for them/pay attention to those places). Culturally, there's a bad habit in the states to think big brand fast foods. None of those options will ever really surprise you with quality(too much of a focus on turning a profit, but find a brand that focuses on quality, and a company like that can turn their market share into securing good quality for cheaper than smaller places, it's really just down to whether or not they can bypass the greed and pass on the benefits of large market share onto their customers).
That said, don't look at Katsudon as health food... While it's healthier than burgers/fries, it's still a pretty fattening food without enough vegetables and a poor option vs a balanced diet.
they got nothing on india😁
@@musgrave6886 it is a tough choice between "teflon and co" vs "hands recipe" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well if you only go to McDonalds and Taco Bell, of course you’re going to think Western cuisine isn’t comparable. Many of the top restaurants in the world are in America. I recommend you try some out. It’ll change your perspective!
