The best practice for anyone young and learning is to play with the cue ball only. You learn all your angles and discover how to make the cue ball do what you want. Then introduce a single red on the blue spot and pot it to the middle pockets only, until your chipping it in from anywhere. Then add all the colours and clear from their spots. Then add 10 reds all the colours and work the cue ball to keep on the black, and then add the lot, and clear the lot up.

That last match answered one of my questions I always had in mind: Was there a "Maximum break" with another colour than black? OK, it was not a "pink" maximum as Ronnie missed the brown, but nearly. Would be interesting to see a "yellow maximum". :-)

It´s Ronnie. Fanboys love everything he does...EVERYTHING.
The commentators talk a load of bollocks sometimes. Virgo and Dennis Taylor talk about shots being difficult as if it was back in their day when a century break was a rarity. They don't seem to have realised that even at their best, they wouldn't have lived with todays top players, and neither would have ever got into the top 16. And besides. What rules apply to every other player in the world. Don't apply to Ronnie. He makes the impossible, look run of the mill when he's on form.
Why do snooker commentators insist on rattling on and on and on? It's quite annoying
