Cypher is the only agent where you have to buff your brain in order to be good with his lack luster kit.
Cypher and Sova are the agents that need you to think outside the box to utilise their full potential
Cypher doesn't have a lackluster kit tbf. The problem is that there are way too many counters for him in the game.
@@almightynoob1631 2 out of 3 of his kit can be shot and accidentally or blown up. Which is why you gotta think out side the box when it comes to em. Cause just about everyone else has abilities that cant be shut down as easily. Unless you have Kay/o. You dont need kay/o to deal with a cypher cause all of his kit just doesnt cut it unless you think outside the box.
@@MomentaryLapse thats exactly my point, his own kit isn't lackluster, its the presence of so many counters which makes him feel weak and useless at times

I think the problem with the weird "On the box" cages is that If I saw it i'd wonder why that smoke exists. Its not like it got mis-clicked, Cypher has to be intentionally making a lineup to put the cages up there, so I'd be immediatly suspicious of it. The ones where its clipping through a wall towards another chokepoint are better.
I agree, you'd have to ask a teamate or two to pull their attention away via util or spray

heres the thing tho, that's just as well cause it means you'll have to spray it to make sure and that just means cypher can swing from another angle kind of like a yoru clone or fake tp from omen
I mean sure, but part of the problem is that when you see a cypher smoke with so little space, it can be hard to imagine where a player could actually fit inside of those. The point with those locations is that they BARELY cover a person, so nobody really expects a cypher to be ratting there (until you get killed by it lol)

The thing with Cypher cages is that it is more of a cylinder wall shaped rather than a dome, so it covers perfectly when you stand on the edge.

The best feeling is watching his videos and seeing the cages in game, and just knowing that the enemy cypher is trying to clip on you

I've started playing Cypher a lot more after I started watching Acre. I can't do the mind-blowing rat setups that he does, but I've been able to improvise my own simple ones. For a player like me who doesn't really play aggressively, being a rat that watches flank or guards a site is the most aggressive I can be right now and it actually works
As a cypher main this playstyle actually looks super interesting and fun gotta start incorporating some of these lineups fr in my games.

I used this trick a lot too with brim smokes but it is riskier as you dont have a way to get info precisely where to swing

i do this same thing with viper screens, its not the most practical and you cant use it everywhere, but on certain maps and places you can set a good screen and have a little corner to hide in where nobody will check, like icebox and pearl is the ones where i use them cause it seems too small

I decided to experiment with some of these rat plays a bit and not only was it fun, but it was pretty cool and one of my games the other team started raging and also ended up ff. definitely will keep experimenting with cypher and thank you to you and the content creator for this fun way to play as cypher.

One of my opponents yesterday literally did the pearl cage trick in front of me. It's funny because I watched it from acre too, I kayo mollied the corner and got myself a dead cypher lol
I think at 7:10, both the hat and the glow work in his favor, only if it's the default glow, because it glow's red, so the outline might just blend in. Idk I used to be a cypher main until I gave up on the idea of him getting a buff.

Cypher may be the least picked agent but if you get a good cypher you'll definitely see how powerful he can be. I'm very excited for Cypher's buff. I was a Cypher main, but now I main all sentinels. I can't wait to play Cypher again.

I saw that dude some days ago, and now every cyphers that i met (me neater) try that strategy. So now i think its doesn't work cause people now can predict that

I'm still silver but I've been doing this typa smokes with omen, you just wrap around a pillar with a smoke and make it so that you're traveling along the edge of the smoke and ninja your way through aggressively. figured out because of that one old viper split ult lineup that let's you go from a main to a site with using the edge of the ult. you can actually use this in various amounts of maps but I don't think I should be recommending it :))
I only play valorant every Friday for free time and I did finally got to bronze out of iron and Iâm still learning the game, keep up the content eggwick, Acre is such a god as chypher brođđ»
