The audience cheering Sid shows how stale Hulk Hogan got as the poster boy of the federation.
Straight Facts

@@tamzidmohsinkhan3333 In fact his push got stale before that other heels like Andre The Giant (Saturday's Night Main Event February 5th 1988) & ("Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff The Big Event) were cheered by the Rock 'N' Wrestling audience during their matches with Hulk Hogan but the federation would pipe-in fake boos
100% agreed, they should’ve just called an audible and let Sid win, he and Hogan main evented Wrestlemania anyways.
It was that moment where Hogan’s babyface schtick has grown tired because Hogan wins every match and his reputation was on the line due to his steroid abuse accusations and his infamous appearance on the Arsenio Hall Show cooled off his character.
Sid got cheered more than Hulk Hogan at that time
FACTS goes to show you that at time wwe fans were basically tried of hogan.
Facts
@@cliffordjackson3Even Taker who was still a rookie that time got such a huge pop when he beat Hogan for the title and he was a big heel that time, then Hogan used his backstage power to influence that obviously
Obviously the fans were tired of his years long championship reign by then.

That means they weren't really fans. Just a bunch of bandwagoners milking him for all he was worth. Disgraceful!
5:58 The Sting bit was a massive insult to him
Wasn’t expecting to see a 5 million+ channel in here
Fun fact, Sting’s TNA run was actually mentioned on WWE tv… if you were watching the Spanish broadcasts. I’m not sure if it was ever brought up on the weekly shows but they definitely talked about TNA during his Mania match.
And the fact Sting and The nWo black and white were never friends making the DX vs nWo absolutely positively pointless just to feed Vince’s ego rather then give the fans what they want Sting vs Taker.
@@elmaster27428By that time they were both on their way out then Sting suffered the buckle bomb from Seth and he ultimately had to “Retire” then shows up in AEW basically knocking himself out and not in the best shape since Father Time took over
Back in their younger year it might’ve worked but sting chose to go to TNA then by the time he came to WWE Taker was a part timer only wrestling at certain events
Honestly fans don’t really don’t know what they want since they’re all over the place plus they tend to get upset even when they get what they want

I love Sid’s story mostly because it’s funny to imagine Hogan throwing the biggest tantrum, eyes red from crying and tears streaming down his face
And that orange Tan 😂
I’m picturing zoyberg from futurerama
It wwf fault. They spoiled him to the point he became a entitled brat think he should always get his his way. Hogan not clueless either. He knew his days as the top wrestler was over and didn't like it one bit. Wwf would put up whit him for one more year until moving on whit the new generation whit out him.
Hogan is used to throwing a fit. Crying the waaaa-mbulance 😅
Biggest Kylo Ren 😂
Funny thing, on Peacock they kept in the original version of Sid eliminating Hogan where Sid was cheered.
In England, I always heard the real response on the released Coliseum Video VHS...
Wow that’s interesting
*Even to this day, it’s still stings (no pun intended) how WWE completely buried Sting. It’s very clear they just brought him in the company just to completely undermine WCW, which makes no pissing sense considering the fact that that company had been dead for 14 years at that point. I feel like it’s probably best if he never joined with the company in the first place.*
Straight Facts but atleast Sting didn't joined WWE around 2001 when WCW went out of business . He would've got way worst treatment than the likes of DDP , Booker T & countless of former WCW stars etc
Get rid of the bold
Dude Sting didn’t come to WWE until like 14 years after his WCW run and then as soon as he came he tore his pecs.
Sting had a fine moment in WWE. Did nothing to hurt his career.
Vince has a very well-known history of being very petty and Sting was a WCW original
You guys left out the infamous Cena sucks chants. Cena was their top babyface and the WWE would constantly pipe in "Lets go Cena" chants in arenas that were full of fans that hated Big John. The fans were so adamant about not liking Cena that their sheer determination to be heard forced Cena to acknowledge the fans by saying that whether you like him or hate him that he is thankful for the reaction.
Then he has the nerve to call out Theory about that
The Let's Go Cena chants wasn't piped in, they were weak so they needed to louden it.
.
One of the sure piped in chants was the Cena Sucks chant on WM 22 against Triple H. I bet you know the real profane chant there.
@life0093 Good for Cena 😎👍🏾
Here'sssssssss johnyyhyyyyyyyy!!!!!
All I know is I happen to like the Let's go, Cena! + Cena sucks! chant. The episode where it started, Cena looked so natural getting the audience to participate.
Cena: Okay, I want all the women and children to go "Let's go, Cena!" And all the men to go "Cena sucks!"

The LA Knight fiasco happened in my hometown. That’s what made the incident even worse than ever. It was just downright disrespectful to the people that attended that particular SmackDown taping in May of 2023.
But why would WWE purposely try to deflate their own character?
@@robinali6903 Exactly. It was just downright extremely disrespectful to the people in my hometown. My whole entire home state as a whole got disrespected and insulted like that. Not as offensive as the infamous “Bayley, This Is Your Life” incident in 2017, which was actually extremely offensive.
They've done it to everyone who isnt roman or cena for the past decade+
Are you offended by everything?
@@thegoughandbordenfamily8234 Nope. Not everything I can deem as “offensive”.
I remember the Raw Supershow I attended was like this. Zach Ryder/Matt Cardona was the most over and loudest pop, but apparently folks watching never heard the “We want Ryder” chants and the pop wasn’t as loud.
WWE: Roman is gonna be your top super hero lovable babyface.
The crowd: BOOOOO!!!
WWE: Oh you wanna boo him? FINE *turns roman heel*

After watching how little WWE actually respects it fans it's a wonder more people haven't stopped watching them.
TV ratings aren't what they used to be even a few years ago.
They used to get 5s and 6s in ratings. Now they get under 2. That's a ton of people not watching anymore.

In 1991, Sid Justice was just as popular, if not, more popular than Hulk Hogan.
Let's not get carried away... He was cheered for a bit only for coming to Randy Savages aide and helping Hogan and Warrior win their Summerslam match. He was not getting more cheers than those 3.
The fans didn't hate him. A large percentage of fans wanted to see Flair or Savage win that Royal Rumble. Non hulkamaniacs wanted to see a new champion. When Hogan was tossed, that generated a pop especially out of Flair's fan base.
I remember the first time i happened across this phenomenon... The hatching of the Gobblegooker at Survivor Series 1990.
When i saw it live on tv, the fans booed. But when they showed a highlight clip on Superstars the following week, the fans were 'cheering'... 🤨 I literally had to take a minute and question what i was seeing and hearing.
Stone Cold being written off from TV during Survivor Series 1999 was best way for him to not complete the match

Guys get injured. WWE has to improvise. I wouldn’t say they were being deceptive, they just improvised.
@@jeremiahsmith2037 They knew he wasn't fit for the match at least a week earlier; they promoted *that* Triple Threat Match all the way into the middle of the PPV itself knowing what they were doing, so they *did* deceive fans about it's top guy's condition, and came up with a damn attempted murder angle to explain it away...
I can remember this and the big show big boss man scene where big boss man drove off with shows dad's coffin ...they were big turn off that made me slowly stop watching..it was cheap and uncomfortable
@@tomseville2345so what the angle was awesome. Stop crying like a little girl because the attitude era was fricken awesome and we got great moments like the hit and run
I was so young back in 92 I didn't even realize people hated Hulk Hogan at this point. I was probably one of the very few that was sad he got eliminated.
Hogan was still getting good responses from the fans, but Sid was massively over with the fans by this time, even I wanted to see Sid win the Rumble instead of Hogan, so the finale of that Rumble, with Sid & Hogan practically cancelling each other out, and thereby allowing Ric Flair to get the win, wasn't totally shocking to me. Disappointing, maybe, at 1st, but Flair totally earned that Rumble win. Sid & Hogan kinda looked like fools when it was said & done. But Sid was still gaining more popularity &, yeah, you could tell at the very end of the Rumble that Hogan wasn't quite as popular after that night.
@@ckendall67this just proves that the hogan fans are delusional. There biggest hero was booed outta the building more than cena
@@Snyper1405 You are proving that Hogan haters are delusional.
At 4:22, I knew The Authority was gonna come back when they gave John Cena the power to reinstate them.
Yeah, and I was mad as hell. At that point the whole entire angle was going on over a year and it was slowly becoming boring and causing severe damage to the product.
Hopefully one day, wwe would accept the fact that heels can be cheered even more than faces.
But babyfaces are great too
@DonOctavioSanchez yes. What I'm saying is WWE should realize that they couldn't lie to the audience anymore.
How about Summerslam 2021 when it was time for the Smackdown Women's Championship match between Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks? It wasn't until after Bianca came out that they announced that Sasha was absent. They even played the usual pre-match video package before the match. Long story short, Carmella comes out, then Becky Lynch makes a shocking return, takes out Carmella to replace her, 26-second squash, 1-2-3. WTF?
I love your content man, it enlightens my day keep up the good work
Rusev was huge over with fans that WWE edited the chants & replaced into AJ Styles chant
Which they mentioned in this video.

I miss rusev day
Thank you captain obvious 🫡😉😂
The one with Hogan and Sid remains memorable to me, as I watch the Royal Rumble live and a few weeks later, saw how the cheers turned into boos on WWE TV programming.
This is ALL on Vince and Kevin Dunn!
LA KNIGHT! YEAHHHHH!!!!!!
I remember that STING angle about he's careers so well
It was so funny 😂😂
WWE sabotaged Sting for being WCW guy & not mentioning his TNA run
you act like they mentioned drew ,roode, christians, hardys, angles, styles runs there
They never mention the time the guys spent for other companies than WWE and WCW.
Not really, Sting was there from 2014-2015 for like 10 months and only wrestled like 2 legit matches, he and HHH actually had a good Wrestle Mania match. And HHH didn't bury Sting, HHH had to have help to beat Sting. The worst thing about the match was JBL crying about the rivalry years and wouldn't stop talking sh1t about WCW and Sting the whole match. And then the match with Seth Rollings happened, and Sting got legit injured and had to quit WWE because of it. Obviously, he made some good money when he was in the WWE. Otherwise, he wouldn't have come to the WWE period. And in 2016 Sting did get voted into the WWE Hall of Fame. I wouldn't exactly call that sabotage. Lastly, Sting was 55-56 years old when he was there.
And honestly, he was older than dirt by then. The WWE didn't have/or need to sabotage him.
@@MS-fh4sz you are proving my point though . Plus literally every fans including Sting himself wanted to face Undertaker at WM which was the last remaining great dream match in pro wrestling but of course Vince said no for it & have Sting jobbed to Triple H so that he proved that WCW was indeed dead with having Sting being the last guy to take a defeat
@@MS-fh4sz his AEW run have more matches than his WWE run by far . Glad to see Sting reuniting with the likes of Arn Anderson , Tully Blanchard , Tony Shiavone & even Ric Flair in AEW atleast

Daniel Bryan got support from fans that he got main event spotlight at WM 30
Wrestlamia should do a hot takes
Authority storyline was cringe & forgettable at best
Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, and even John Cena really carried that storyline.
The Stone Cold run over angle was great stuff, and was a genius way to cover him having real life surgery. They used it brilliantly too when he returned, and it led to a very iconic rivalry between Austin and Triple H.
And yet later that same year. Stone Cold turns heel and joins forces with the man. Who set him up to get run down....
Agreed!!!!!!

Sting was and is one of the greatest game changers and talkers in history
I remember being so hyped for Survivor Series 1999. The product was on fire, you had three of the best of that era in their prime and ready to go... and it was all a lie. That felt so wrong to me, because my dad ordered it on PPV for me too. I was so pissed off.
*Oh my God words cannot describe how much I absolutely despised The Authority angle. Without question one of the most infuriating periods and most damaging storylines in WWE history. Not to mention the fact that the entire thing lasted for three goddamn years.*
Bloodline also . Both these storyline are worst in long stretch
In fact WWE's product in the mid 2010s (except for 2016) was in a tough spot creatively, literally the only highlights of this period was John Cena's WWE United States title reigns & the Daniel Bryan drama.
As much as I hated the authority angle, it was the storyline that really made me a fan of Seth Rollins and what he could do in and out of the ring. I probably wouldn't be as much of a fan of his now if it wasn't for how much of a chickenshit heel he was throughout that period.
Had The Authority angle only focused on Daniel Bryan's story then it would have been fine but once the story was over, there was no purpose why they were still around.
@@kazallroberts couldn’t agree with you more because it would’ve made perfect sense if they would’ve stopped with the Daniel Bryan storyline, because after that, they slowly became boring and didn’t really have a proper direction. On top of that, they never really had a proper blow off to the entire angle.
not important but the way you say "narrative" makes my eye twitch lol
At the end of that 1992 Rumble, there is a close-up reaction shot of Hogan during the face down with Sid. He knows his time is up. They also had a completely different commentary from Bobby and Gorilla, with Monsoon being a lot less complimentary about Ric Flair.
When you said they know best it sounded so unconvincing 😂
0:15 No they don't. If that was sarcasm, I'm sorry for not catching that.
I can remember many years ago going to Raw in my hometown of Winnipeg. Naturally, Jericho's entrance blew the roof of the place, but when we got home and caught the replay of the live show there was nothing special about the reaction Jericho got. I think they didn't want the audience to focus on where the show took place. It needed to seem like it could just be anywhere to the TV audience.
them not pushing daniel bryan to the moon is such a bonehead move. he's such a ridiculously talented wrestler
Great shout using Sting's "Deception game" promo from TNA 2010 to illustrate the point...
I think what makes Roman Reigns current run as remarkable as it is now is the fact how much he struggled as a baby face . Sometimes it’s the journey is as important as the destination! Putting my ☝️ up !!
Great picture 1:25
Was waiting for the 1999 match, I still think about how good that would of been. I always remember HHH referring to stone cold as the immortal austin in the promo
Sid is a great wrestler
Like how they buried Cody
Roman as face = crowd boos
Roman as heel = crowd cheers
Gotta love WWE fans. 😂
Imagine if they piped in cheers for Bret making Austin pass out at WM13, put in cheers when Bret declined Shamrock going through the ropes. Could've killed the double turn. 😅
Piping in boos for Dom is painfully obvious too
And them cutting his mic off to make it seem like the fans are overpowering several thousands of dollars worth of audio equipment.
I remember when WCW would do this with the Goldberg chants. The dumbest time this was done was in Toronto when he has cutting a promo opposite Bret Hart. The almost blew out the speakers at the ACC.
I never understood the Goldberg chant. It sounds the crowd is mocking him, not unlike "Darrrrryl" Strawberry.
@LIM1976 its ok mom it just rolls right off their back. 😥
wwe does this so they can make the good wrestlers seem like a favorite.
Probably because Wrestling at the end of the Day is a Show in which the Hero defeats the Villian.
But ironically they have no idea how to book baby faces so they are like able and heels that are detested
It is a shame that only “wrestler” they actually managed to attract a Heat magnet to him was Dominik.
Sadly he is one of the worst wrestlers today
There's enough video for 10 videos like this and probably more.
What happened to Sting is the exact same thing that happened with Kurt Angle
I winced every time he said narrative
For the Hogan RR92 thing, on the network and alot of the home releases, it sounds like the original's audio, but there is a clip on youtube of a recap of the RR92 where it is pretty clear they piped in boos when Hogan was eliminated(vs the cheers in the real audio) and had Monsoon and Heenan re-record audio over that portion
WWE doesn’t like to give us as fans what we want and thinks we’re stupid specifically Vince McMahon however that has changed with Tripe H
Yeah now there will be more cases of bringing in more Indy darlings, lack of storylines, more highspot wrestling and more pleasing the supermarks like how tony khan does with AEW. Yeah that will help bring in new fans and boost ratings
I am amazed at how much heat Domenic Mysterio seems to get, to the point where he can't deliver a promo. It makes me wonder...
The Miz girl's face is iconic.
During covid times, when the crowd would be on screens. I was able to get on a episode as part of the crowd. There was a guy talking over the live feed and would tell us to "boo" "thumbs down" or "cheer" "be happy" depending on what reaction for each wrestler they wanted to have..
That sounds like something from a movie.
I like the irony of the last two
Hogan crying about the crowd booing him 😂😂😂😂 idk whos more petty him or bret hart. 2 of my favorite wrestlers back in the day showing their true colors in thier old age.
How dare you disrespect Bret like that... For over 20 years, "goldberg bad" has been his bread and butter.
The hogan stans are the worst. They support the biggest crybaby, and this is just more proof. He didn't get the reaction he wanted, so he ran to Vince lol
I hope Triple H doesn't make the same mistakes.
People who defend WWE no matter what need to seek help
Almost weekly you can see it on TV, crowd doing nothing, but the audio shows them cheering or booing like crazy.
The crowd to Hogan: "This doesn't work for us, brother!"
Is not the whole of professional wrestling "intentionally deceiving the fans"? It's sort of the thing.
Am I the only one who could watch Sasha Banks watching paint dry for a half hour and still be satisfied with the experience?!😍
I remember a while back my best friend and I went to Raw in Pittsburgh. There was a spot with Cena where the crowd was silent. They showed a recap from before the commercial break on the titantron where Cena got this huge pop. We looked at one another and said, “that didn’t happen.”
Don't forget the survivor series where they said every match would count but when smackdown won a match on the preshow they said it didn't count. Removing the previous statement and trying to make it look like raw won a clean sweep
One thing I would never understand is why would WWE stop a push if a person gets over organically (Ryder. Rusev, etc..). I get Vince is control freak, but i would think he would still see it would be good business. I dont get it.
I was at that MSG show for reigns. It was incredible they had just released that bloodline shirt and everyone was hype to see them
my chant was edited out of extreme rules in Newark, Cody, DIbiase Jr, and Randy came out, and I got the crowd to chant "Your dad's fat"
Royal Rumble 92 we all know Sid got cheered and it was Hogan who got boooed.
That was the first time I ever saw the crowd turn on Hogan live.
Did Sid forget he was suspended in '92 and he chose to quit? He made it sound like he went straight back to WCW because of Hogan at the Rumble, when he did WrestleMania VIII with him, and then a European tour...
I think one of the best edits they’ve done is with Jon Cena. I’ve never seen him.
I wanted to break my tv when i was kid when they announced Bulldog won the Royal Rumble then took it back. still bitter
WWE should understand that fans are tired of the concept of face/heel. Especially when they are done forcibly.
I have noticed that WWE quickly surpress any fan photos or footage from the hard camera side of the arena. We always see alot of WWE fans talk smack about the hardcam side of AEW but never WWE lol thats because its quickly removed to deceive fans into thinking that its a packed arena. Quite pathetic on their behalf lol
It’s a lot different now getting fans to hate heels. In the 80s kayfabe was still alive so people genuinely thought the heels were evil. Today everyone knows it’s a show so when a heel is really good the fans appreciate their work and sometimes cheer them. The best example is the fact that MJF got a huge pop when he returned in Chicago with CM Punk in the ring. There is nobody in wrestling today that is as committed to kayfabe as MJF.
there was also the time vince steph hhh and shane came out to the ring to the tell the fans that they were the authority now and their voices and concerns would be heard.
Fans hate being deceived by WWE, to the point that they questioned their love for the product….😔😔😔
The original VHS release of Royal Rumble '92 had the original audio. Hogan got cheered when he came out, but Sid got pop when he threw Hogan out, and then Hogan got lots of boos for pulling Sid out from outside the ring and then proceeding to jump in the ring and act like a big baby after Flair was handed the belt. Sid then faced off with Hogan to chants of "Sid! Sid! Sid!" while Hogan just looked confused.
I was at Wrestlemania 25, and before the show started, while nothing was going on, suddenly I hear cheers erupting through the entire arena... nobody was cheering.
They always do
1992 Royal Rumble was fair to flair. The late great bobby heenan 👏 amazing all night. Wooooo

ay a solomonster tweet, hell yeah!
I love that no matter how they package Roman, they are never happy with the crowd reaction
WWE will change any cheers for Roman to boos, and any boos to cheers lmao
Bret Hart's montreal "return" in 2005, the pop was huge.
