I will be 68 next month. I decided to stop dying my hair blonde in June. I cut my hair, and it is all white now! Gotta embrace getting old at some point!

I'm 45 and have gray in my beard and a little bit in my hair. I don't mind because these younger chicks seem to dig it. They call me a gray fox.
I had relatives who professionally dyed hair and ended up with cancer from the toxic chemicals used. Mom would dye her hair and I had to leave the area because the stink was intense. She died of lung problems. Sad thing is you can always tell when an older (and younger) have colored their hair. Nobody is being fooled. Glad you've given it up. I'll never dye mine. It looked great when it was about 50/50 grey. Now mostly white and looks fine.
I kind of needed this. I'm a late gen Xer and I despise ageing, but my husband of 21 years has begged me not to start botoxing or cutting up things. He has asked me to age gracefully with him. JP's video was a good reminder that my husband is right on this.
I'm so pleased for you to have such a wonderful husband. I often wonder that, why the woman has to look 20 years younger than the man even if they're the same age, it's just not right. Although probably not too long before a lot of men start doing it (I already know of one).

If you are single, that's unfortunate, but men are programmed to be attracted to women in their prime reproductive years, while clearly many women have no problem with older guys (not that it's super easy for a middle aged guy to go around picking up girls either). That's just biology, "fair" doesn't come into it. You just want to still be considered attractive like a young person, but that's not how it works. I mean we can start mandating sexual attraction by law, force men to go after older women equally with younger ones. Should work fine.

It's always obvious when someone does this; no one is being fooled. The net effect is merely demonstrating insecurity to anyone who casts their eyes upon the person. Go Mediterranean diet and you'll be better spending your money and effort.
As someone who’s skint and ageing badly, I say we need to MAKE LOOKING OLD GREAT AGAIN! Promote the older look rather than obsess about appearing young all the time!!!

No. When you were young you had your fair share of admiration. Stop trying to deprive the young of today by demanding attention be placed back on you.
Learn to value yourself without other people's validation. When they see your complete acceptance of yourself, they can't bully you for your age or signs of aging. You won't care. You'll know your value is not in how you look.

Yes, it's scary, here in Germany (and I am sure in the US too) the young girls are doing it and they look all the same after it. Gruesome. So beautiful people before. Can't believe it. Nature and authenticity is beautiful, not the artificial, plastic stuff.

I think it was Henri Cartier Bresson, a documentary & street photographer from back in the 1940s-50s who asked a middle-aged woman to let him take a portrait of her, and she was insecure because of her age and wrinkles.
So he told her not to worry about any of that because "Wrinkles are merely a sign or proof that you have lived."
Madonna is looking like the doll from the Saw movies.
That may have been her motivation..

Getting old is a curse. Stop trying to glamourize it. There's NOTHING good about it. The only reason we're saying this, is because we can't do anything about it. The moment we find a fix -- 95% of the people will be rushing over each other to stop their aging.

one of my favourite aunts who lives in CA has been quietly having surgery. It hasn’t improved her appearance. It has encouraged me to age gracefully without any PS ever…ever.

As a kid growing up in the 80s and idolizing Madonna as a teenager in the 90s while lauging at Roseanne show on TV, it really blows my mind but also hope, cause I was the ugly (fat) duckling back then, and now well I'm all natural, athletic and striving towards a "roseanne" aging ;)
She looks better than Madonna and Meg Ryan combined though she started as a 3 but aged towards a 7 while the other 2 went the opposite way.

The funny this is, Rosanne was very overweight and played to that for laughs - but even then, despite that I thought there was a certain cuteness to her and that she had pretty eyes.
Roseann had a facelift many years ago. She herself even said that she grew into it. Because overtime if you don’t do anything else you look natural.
We've all seen the results of good looking people turn hideous under the knife leaving us to wonder exactly what species they are or are trying to transition into. Excellent job JP.

If they just ate better and drank plenty of water while getting 8 hours of sleep a night they'd have been better off. All the people my age who have drank soda pop and ate fast/junk food their entire lives all look 10 years+ older than me and I'm only 35. Hell, my ex (mother of my first child) lives on Dr. Pepper and over the last 10 years we have considered getting back together but I just bring myself to do it fully because she looks like she is in her 40's and used to be vibrant when we met. Meanwhile I maybe look 2-3 years older.
I mean yeah, it could just be a guy thing but I think that ingesting massive amounts of sugar is probably the culprit.
Sugar just seems to be the one thing that all the people I know who look old all consume in massive quantities. Their teeth and skin are also worse than mine too so that might be making them look older as well.
Yeah, I hate sugar and think it's unfit for human consumption so sue me.

I appreciate this message, and all the comments so so much… I’m in my 30’s, and all my beautiful friends are already getting fillers and Botox, and women even younger than us… it’s so sad, one little wrinkle, and I can see that the insecurities and self perpetuating self hatred is going to last a lifetime now…. Imagine when we’re 50, 60, 70? We are going to hate ourselves every time we look in the mirror now, forever? It’s such a sickness, makes me so sad for us and for the girls growing up with this anti self virus. I wish we were taught, and could find the courage inside ourselves, to master these insecurities and the programming from society in order to get closer to ourselves, what really matters, the inside of us, our hearts and souls. But people are quite lost.

@jensheedy my real freedom is in my found love. Jesus the risen God who died for me has become more real to me than anything in this world. Such a peace and freedom in a friendship with the Holy Spirit that lives in me. I am not ashamed to declare my love for Jesus because He first loved me. It took me decades to finally let go and say take all of me LORD, but oh my gosh I am so glad I did. He is faithful loving and kind and how I've grown to adore Him and his Word the Bible.

I`m 73. What keeps me from even considering plastic surgery is exactly Madonna. I would rather look old than scary. Children aren't afraid of old - but they are terrified of scary. Facial exercises to strengthen and tone your facial muscles, eye exercises to sharpen your vision, physical exercises to keep your muscle mass from deterioration, a lifelong habit of not drinking, drugging or smoking, keeping the mind active by learning new languages or mental challenges, lots of reading (make yourself interesting), - it`s all about being active in a healthy way. People think I`m in my 50s, and when I was in my 50s. they thought I was in my 30s. Alcohol, tobacco and drugs age you horribly. Avoid those, exercise and you will look your best. I don't think I am an anomaly, but just an example of how we all should look when eating clean as a lifelong habit. Also - lots of love and joy in your heart - those are the absolutely most beautiful things you can do for your face. My love and joy come from Christ.
Yes , it is what I keep saying to people, to look into facial yoga, it makes an amazing difference, l am only mid 40s but l enjoy doing the facial yoga, it makes me laugh and dies indeed plump up the muscles and the face.

My mom got a cutco set of knives when she was 14. When each of her children got married, we each got a set of Cutco knives as a wedding presents. My set a knives is 23 years old. My mom's is over 50 years old and they cut the same!
Thats great offering that wellness emergency kit. I needed that 2 years ago. Lost my young husband to hospital cov*d protocols forced on him against consent. 2 brave drs gave him the “taboo drug” in the hospital and he began to get better, but sadly after a few days 2 drs took it away from him saying they had to think of their own livelihoods and paychecks first. I met JP sears in Austin texas while I was on the highwire. Praying we bring people to some accountability.

I was thinking the same thing recently... It's crazy you posted this right when I was thinking about how plastic surgery looks worse than natural aging.
The idea behind this is by puffing out the cheeks you tighten the skin around the eyes to reduce wrinkles. It DOES that, but it also makes it look like you stuck your face in a hornets nest. Definitely not a win.

Priscilla Presley is the poster child for plastic surgery gone wrong. I watched an interview with her and I'll never forget hearing her laugh but her whole face was rigid and expressionless. Isn't it ironic how teenagers and young adults (mainly women) try desperately to look older and more grown up, then spend the rest of their lives trying to look younger 🤯🤯 its sad the world has so many people full of self loathing, low confidence and an obsession with SELF. Maybe if they had a relationship with God they wouldn't care what other people think of them. 🙏🙏

I can't look at celebs that I grew up watching and now have done this to themselves. It's horrible! What gets me is, it's like they think that the surgery will then stop the aging. It doesn't! You keep aging. Only now, your face has been surgically disfigured and it looks even worse than if you'd just aged naturally.

So far I've been aging gracefully because I take care of myself.
Is that because of you really taking care of yourself, or something more genetic? I know some people "age" quicker than others. Gray hair in their 20s. Wrinkles not showing up till they are at least their 60s. All just how people are different.
Of course, putting chemicals in your body will always age people prematurely.
There's a lot of things people do that really help damage their bodies. Not the least of which is using soap to strip all the natural oils off their skin. I'm not saying to never use soap, but too many people use it trivially as if it were harmless and had no long-term effects. Also look into cultivating your skin microbiome. There's a few products out there. I've seen it work wonders.
It's more fun aging disgracefully! Me and the missus are having a ball! 47 years married we've finally got the freedom and cash to have fun, with mobility scooters and walking sticks and all the lovely digestive kickbacks! Youth is wasted on the young.

This has been close to my heart as I get older and have to "deal with it" (I honestly admire anyone who just doesn't have any issues around ageing) and watch some family members spend a fortune on looking young. In all fairness, most of them look fantastic for their age, but I recently noticed one of them looking like a puffed up doll, not the beautiful woman she is, and wondering if she'd put on weight (maybe) or is her face just soooo full of botox (with the emphasis on tox) that it just doesn't have anywhere to go. Thanks for doing this video.

I sold $15K in cutco when I was in high school. They’re nice knives. That set is expensive, but will last for decades.
Jennifer Connelly just turned 53 years old and its still naturally stunning. Also, Susanna Hoffs from the Bangles, still killing it at 64 years old.
And Stevie Nicks! She’s always looked younger than her age though. She got Botox but didn’t like it. At least Botox fades.

When I meet a new neighbor in person it was obvious she was decades older than what her appearance indicated from across the street. I was surprised at her trembling voice, neck, posture and movement was that of an elderly person. Her husband made it clear she liked to look young-it was her choice.
I am grateful for the surgeons who help those injured in accidents or born with severe needs.
My favourite is Isabella Rossellini. No cosmetic procedures , hardly any make up and a warm and nice personality make of this woman my favourite.
