My ex. He would criticize how I cleaned, how I cooked, talked, laughed, fkd, slept, he criticized my car. He hated talking to me on the phone. He hated how I told a story. I would get myself together and tried to always look good and he couldn’t put the words together to say I looked nice. He had words to criticize. But never to appreciate. I would give him a massage; he hated it. I’m telling you I couldn’t do anything right. But when I was ready to break up with him, he would say he understood he was difficult and he would work on it.
Dealing with this right now kmt...really impacts your confidence and self esteem. Realised self care is very important and realising they are projecting most of the time so when you are taking care of yourself it's easier to bat that projection back at them and stop telling them everything you're doing especially negative, they'll use that against you.

This was why I had to end my marriage. Every interaction became a negative one and he was constantly criticizing me and accusing me of things. And it was all MADE UP. I wasn’t doing any of the things he was accused me of, I wasn’t the type of person he was constantly making me out to be, it nearly made me lose my mind and literally wore on my physical health.
I know exactly how you felt. It’s like they aren’t happy with themselves so they must bring you down with them. The only women they can be with are the ones who are weak.
Demons ARE REAL you are SO RIGHT on that point We were dating everything was great for three years the demons came out specially when he drank and he was fighting the demons of being happy or being miserable and they wanted him to stay miserable so that’s why he chose demons are real
I broke up with the father of my son. He destroy me my way of seeing me make me question my value completly manipulate everything. He use religion all my beliefs my pain my fear my mistakes to put me down. Now i am in therapy trying to see what happen and relearn what is normal in relationship.

No wonder his previous girlfriends gained a lot of weight while they were with him. It’s like he intentionally tries to bring a person down. Does that make sense or am I crazy?

I have experienced this last time of situation several times. They seem to have low self esteem even though they are very successful. They want to strip you of your value to gain more control.
If I am working on myself, I expect you are working on yourself. I am not taking no one who doesn't have basic cordial skills. These deficits are huge. You are rabid and don't need to be in a relationship. I am admitting i was once a victim. And that's why I am working on my weight. Because I am at the end of my healing journey.
