Wild assault and drift rc a bit out of my grasp but who knows, maybe I'll get there and stream again come next monday.

the super is kinda crazy cause not only is it checking "are you doing literally anything besides blocking or getting out of the way" the mixups if you RC on whiff is crazy

No joke, slayer while still fun I’ve been hit by some muscle memory from +R. But is still the best button even if it’s no longer a body check of the gods

I lost so many matches the first week trying to cross up with 214S or trying to anti air with 2S lol

Same lol. The first few matches I kept trying to jump cancel IAD from 6H and it never worked. S and H dandy are also hardwired into my hands and I have to remember that P dandy is now the crossup

i think you got more rollbacked counters in the span of a week than i did in the roughly thousand hours i put into this game, that's genuinely really funny

Wonder if the UNIVERSE counter is a bit different, this was happening even on only 1 rollback frame which I don't think is usually enough for stuff like that to happen.

strive is my favorite fighting game of all time so i'm glad you enjoyed your time with it even if you prefer the other games! that's what i love about gear honestly, there's a game for every flavor of person, none of them really replace each other

You could say Strive's rendition of Slayer is hardly the stuff for a bedtime story. Playing him is a journey, not a destination, which comes with both ups and downs, if you will.

To be fair due to it's long animation being invuln and how low the hitbox is, it's possible old 6p wouldn't have beaten it, but would have at least come out unscathed. Kinda like 6pong hammer fall on xrd

I dunno pots pretty high up there so if the i frames are still lingering it might be good. I should just import old 6p into strive somehow

Hey some advice, sometimes if you wallsplat with pilebunker you have enought time to do another pile bunker to break the wall
It works everytime you hit them with the pile bunker before they wallsplat like in 9:15, if you hit them with the pilebunker at the same time that they wallsplat that won't work
Yeah it's tough but i got the hang of it later

Meh. Not much has changed since i last tried it. The stuff i wish was different never will be and that's fine. I like Slayer in strive but the rest is..eh

Right now, Slayer seems fun but we don't know how arc going to balance slayer. There will be chance we loose Pilebunker loop. Lol Slayer being disgusting to fight the most characteristic part of him. It started to clear. I hope they keep character identity outside of animation tho. It will make character unique. Also i bought missing link having fun with original guilty gear.

I Just started playing strive. Damn this game is fun, honestly i dont get the hate...
Like yeah sure xrd and xx have more moves and mechanics. But strive feels so loose like DAMN. Also its very good for beginners like one of my friends.

Sure, Strive is fun but I don't like the approach. Like juggling way to combo, air options get nerfed and people keep bringing up like how the game is a snowball experience. Heck, even its reboot losing literally core aspects and identity of the game carried along the journey. Is not a healthy relationship b/w the community. Mechanics can be bad at launch.

I’ve been seeing Strive players on Reddit complaining about how busted Slayer is, even though he doesn’t even look that different from the previous games. And it made me realize that Strive is such a gutted game that a character with an average amount of sauce in the other games in the series is insane in Strive.
tbh I feel like that's just your standard "strong character is added to fighting game, scrubquotes ensue" sorta thing more than anything else.

@@SSM24_ Tbh compared to previous entries. Strive remotely not anywhere close to older entries. Like GGX did to the missing link when game redesign and found its identity even Xrd has lot more excuses for its experiments. Having an anime game with an air option is gutted along with expression with combo. How you play. No longer feel your traditional anime fighter. Cherry on top juggling way to combo. Also the game is simplified in a very questionable way. Moreover, someone brought the topic and gave a valid reason. It started getting hard to ignore. Seeing people's comments makes me wonder if we follow the core or identity of the franchise. It's not like i hate it. But next game I like to remove juggling and give more like blazeblue ground recovery and some air options to the game.

I wouldn't Lie this game recently started getting questionable a lot. Whether it should follows core identity or let it be an anime mix version of Kof and Mk or injustice. Next game I would love if they remove the juggling part, give blazeblue ground recovery and air options. Then I have no problem with the game. Which they're not going to do anyway.
I enjoy Slayer for what he does in the game despite the system mechanics. He's just that cool

So, strive is dead. More braindead character in Guilty Gear simply doesn't exist. Endless pilebunkers and dandy steps again.
