PPF Withdrawal Rules: How to exit PPF before maturity?

Public Provident Fund or PPF maturity withdrawal can be done after 15 years. However, under certain conditions, you may withdraw from your PPF balance. After the seventh year, you can make PPF partial withdrawal from your account. PPF withdrawal rules say, you can make a maximum withdrawal of up to 50% of the balance at the end of the fourth year or the end of the preceding year, whichever is less. 5 years condition is from the first deposit or separately for each deposit?
For example, I made my first deposit of ₹1L on 5-3-2018 and kept investing ₹ 1L every year.
Balance on 31-3-20 = 3,00,000 (1L + 1L + 1L)
(Assuming no interest for simplicity)
Will I be eligible to withdraw 50% of 1,00,000 or 50% of 3,00,000 in FY 2023-24?

The 5 years condition is from the year of opening the PPF account, where the year of opening does not count. It has nothing to do with separate deposits.

You can close your PPF Account in special cases only after completion of 5 financial years, where the year of opening the account is not counted. Since you have not completed the required time period, you cannot close your PPF account at this point.
