- As it says this is mt interview with the one and only Calum Stewart which took place in the Institute in Fochabres during the SpeyFest festival this summer.
Once again I have picked a noisy venue. We had just finished a flute workshop with Calum and a singing class started up in the room next door so apologies for that.
I hope you enjoy this insight into Calum's past, present and future.
The next interview should have less background noise . . . . . - Hudba
great interview , Calum has his own amazing style.
Thanks Eilam, do watch out for my other interviews, more are planned . . . .
Bravo Callum…..de La Baule…ton dernier CD est super….Thank you…
Thanks so much for this interview ! 😃 It's not always easy to find interviews from the Celtic musicians that we like, and you let him speak, unlike some journalists on tv !! 😁
Vive la flute 👍
I'm glad you enjoyed it - keep watching, there will be more interviews !
I appreciate your interview series so much! It's a great source for knowing Scottish flute music. I would like you to interview Hamish Napier.
Hatao, I'm glad you enjoyed the interview, I enjoyed chatting with Calum. Great suggestion about Hamish, he is on my radar but I have not been in touch with him yet - watch this space (but it may take a while).
Epic player … love your style Calum :) hey from 🇨🇦
What an enjoyable interview! Great stuff, more of the same please.
Thanks John, glad you enjoyed it. Yes there are more to come . . . but you'll have to listen to all my playing before I release the next interview ! ! ! !
Remember to click like, subscribe and leave comments (like John !)
I just love Calum's flute playing. Too bad he mostly switched to the pipes (not too fond of those unfortunately).
I can certainly recommend his latest album True North. It is mainly pipes but he does get the flute out as well.
This is a very interesting topic, from a very interesting flute player... but the volume of the sound xD I can barely hear them talk, subtitles help btw
You are absolutely right. I can only apologise. I was a bit opportunistic in asking Calum to do the interview and he agreed there and then so I couldn't turn down the chance. That was the only space I could find at short notice. The singing class were enthusiastic but unfortunately they were in the room next door. This is also a learning curve for me and that has been two interviews where external sounds caused a bit of a problem. I can't promise that all of my future videos will be perfect but I will think more carefully about the location from now on.
However, I am glad you enjoyed the content !
@@scottishflute3444 Yes, even if the conditions weren't perfect the content of the video and the topics talked in the interview for sure were far more important, thanks for sharing it :D
Great interview, great music, great playing, fantastic content 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it
