Continuing our series recapping events in My Hero Academia, we're discussing the day that Deku left U.A High and abandoned all of his friends to become a vigilante for the sake of Japan! Our hero Izuku Midoriya puts the mask on and as Deku, he works alongside Endeavor, Best Jeanist, All Might and Hawks to clean up the streets of Japan, however society has fallen apart and Deku has less support than he's ever had before, as All for One's assassins attempt to track him down... Will Deku master One for All in time?

That kinda contradicts all that "you have to beat everyone to be #1" talk back in season 1. Which contradicts everybody scolding bakugo for wanting to beat everyone.

if Deku resembles spiderman and spiderman he was a vigilante but the greatest hero. I realize Deku won't become a no.1 he was fit to become a vigilante

Izuku leaving UA was the best decision, I'm not saying leaving his friends especially Ochako the way how she reacted but since AFO and Tomura are still after OFA, it puts everyone at UA at risk and in danger not to mention how Izuku is the only one who knows what needs to be done while everyone else is just sitting around doing nothing including the *Pro-heroes* who just give up and retire like cowards just like Death-Arms did. In my opinion the vigilante arc is the best arc of MHA

This arc of MHA is literally Deku being Batman or Spiderman, whichever you prefer. And I love it, since I like the grittiness of this arc and makes me sit on the edge of my seat.

Somehow, some way, Deku survives everything. In the first episode of the Anime Deku himself said: This is the story of how I became the Number 1 hero. By some miracle everything was rebuilt from scratch and normalcy was restored. Feel free to correct me, CZcams comment section

I know that Midoriya leaving is for a reason due to safety, I feel that it is possibly a disadvantage for UA. Danger sense could really help them know if there are threats coming. Though it might not be relevant as they are still recovering, but so are the villains. So his danger sense could be very helpful to UA. It does seem that shigaraki will take quite some time to recover. Thanks for your time! ☕️
Shig, is not going to be waiting long for his recovery, but if Deku stayed a lot stuff wouldn't have happened
@@aaronhotchnerzoltfbi8085 True, but I would be curious how the events could change, what would’ve happened if he stayed, what would happen if they never fought? Would there be any consequences if they never let shigaraki out of the coma/testing he was in? I have many questions that I have been curious about, I had thought of them in the process of writing my comment.

Man I just started reading this arc and pumped because now I get to see why Deku is doing this and it’s important for him to take down the villains, shigaraki, and AFO. But I sympathize because he can’t be around the people he’s care about other wise they’ll get hurt. The whole vigilante thing is making me think of Batman or Spider-man in Deku’s situation.
At least this is a refreshing change for Deku

See I can’t see him as a vigilante though, he still has a provisional licence, technically works with Endeavour, Hawks & All Might which is a component of the provisional licence and still works within the law to save people. At best he’s Truant Deku as he should be at a school but is constantly on the move.

I get what you're saying, but I disagree. I think that's shortsighted. That's like saying every mc should be as smart as light from death note with plans within plans. Sometimes you gotta work with what you got.
Deku wasn't the only person who agreed with the plan, all the top heroes of Japan and all might, the former #1 did too.
Why?
Because they didn't have any other options. Deku is the best option they have to beat afo quickly.
The alternative was to let shigaraki reach 100% and then kill everyone because he would be too powerful for any of them to stop.
You can't take the "let's wait for them to come to us" approach with people that much stronger than you.
You'll just get you and everyone around you ambushed and killed.

I wanna see a what if one shot manga where:
1. Deku's realized his full potential
2. Future holders of OFA (if there is one)
3. Future holders of AFO
4. A future where OFA and AFO is owned by 1 person
Giving his life fighting being hailed as the irreplaceable no.1 hero is also great. Like even in his passing, all other heroes could only get the number 2 spot, in honor of Deku's sacrifice.

i cant tell you how much this has been hurting me. i went to a website where i saw some manga pictures, one or two. and i saw him crying. idk when that happens. and all n all i am hesitant to want to read the manga, lest i spoil the anime still coming out. i don't know what to do. i didn't even know if i wanted to watch this video. i dont wanna spoil things. but the truth is. i am in pain. i didnt fully understand why Izuku left UA. so now i feel better about that. i had no idea all might was supporting him. i didnt know anything. all i was thinking about, was him being alone. i am glad he's learning more about the streets and what is going on in society. i've not been this upset over a show since pirates of the carabian movie where the girl's husband turns into some undead boat person. i didnt at that moment, see the last clip where she had a son though. that made me feel better. izuku is unlike any other anime character i have seen. the whole hero premise is one i don't know much about. being a real hero. it really made me rethink things for myself.
I really had to skip most of this arc in the manga because the whe thought of dark deku just made me so sad.
Not so sad that it made me cry, but so sad that it made me uncomfortable. Now I have to face it because its coming in the anime so I might as well get some insight first 💀.
This arc is one of the best of the series.

this is the reason why Deku won't become a no.1 because of the safety of his parents or friend just like what happened to spiderman when Mysterio revealed to the public about spiderman's identity. Remember Deku resembles Spiderman and Horikoshi was a big fan of spiderman because spiderman is a vigilante/greatest hero. the only fit to become no.1 is probably mirio or bakugo plus Deku gonna give his spot being a no.1 to bakugo to avoid jealousy just like what happened to endeavor why he become an abusive father.
What if Deku dies when all of one isnt around and in his moment of death he wishes that that this power was given to anyone but him and someone eats his arm or something

He didn't became a vigilante. Whitout a comission to uphold the law and the permission of All Might and Endeavour, that makes him just doing Hero work at Endeavour's request.

Not really a vigilante, he still had a provisional license. Just my opinion, the arc wasn’t long enough and didn’t have any meaningful impact. They tried to have a darker tone but it just wasn’t there. The series has this line that it sometimes teeters over but never fully crosses over which prevents it from truly becoming great. Kind of reminds me of when the black reaper was introduced, if anyone read tokyo ghoul.

I was think their should be a black ops version of Boku no hero like Military Academia most of trainess are people who did not pass UI or other school or scounted out they are actually being taught how to kill and follow absolite orders even if it means thet have to kill a hero academia but it goes more into the military and the espionage between nations of this world like if heros cannot be partial well maybe as soldiers their duty is to protect their state or public with any means neccesary but stay in the shadows
