- Took the boat out for a quick spin. The goal was to catch some fish for the pan and have a heck-ton of fun, as always. Mission accomplished. We used the Mule Fishing Supply Co. Minnow in Dakota Sunrise and absolutely smacked 'em. Target species was Bluegill with a side of bass. Watch for tips tricks and rips.

So many fish catches and so much fun. I recently spent a few days at a cabin with my extended family. I took out six kids over the course of our stay and had them fish Mule Fishing Co plastics exclusively. I wasn’t constantly rebaiting hooks from pesky Gilberts and they caught bluegill, pumpkinseed, rock bass, perch, and large mouth bass. A huge assist on the making of memories!

Since getting into ultralight fishing and picking up mule plastics I’ve caught so many more fish. I was catching catfish, bass, bluegill, sac and lait, gar, etc in the LA swamps and then took a road trip and started catching brownies and brookies in Nantahala National Forest on the exact same setup and lure.
Paul, excellent video....lots of good content and really like seeing both of you in PFDs (as always). The excitement in your voice really comes through. Maybe make a video of how you clean, prepare, and cook your catch?

The MM is 2.2 is easily a favorite lure of mine. The 1.2 gets bit just as good though.
This season I've been exclusively fishing Mule Fishing stuff. Kinda simplifies what I bring out on my kayak. And I have not yet found a WRONG way to fish them! They literally catch everything! Makes me feel like a WAY better fisherman than I really am! LOL. I've been using DT and DTJr's and I'm curious what conditions would be best for switching to the Minnows? They look similar in shape and action to the DT. Not that I have any problem buying MORE stuff from Ethan...just interested where the Minnow might be a better choice.

What size mule fishing jig were you using? I have a bunch of their jigs and plastics and totally love them.
3/32 for the full sized donkey tail and 1/32 or 1/16 for the Donkey Tail Jr

3/32 for the larger donkey tail, 1/32 fit the donkey tail Jr. I love a 1/16 in the wind though
