    I'm from South Island New Zealand, and we have very little choice in bricks and mortar shops here, and when I do find a great item, its usually discontinued or sold out before I can get to it. Found your vid by accident and realised, hey I can make these. My daughter and I are very grateful for your generosity in showing us how. Wonderful ideas, and I love your choice of fabrics! Thanks so much. Now long hair is 'in' and has been for some years, a shower cap is of primary importance for those non-'poo' days.

    Brilliant! I made one about two years ago and it has been great. However, the lining I used split so I have had to re-line it now.

      it's really worth hunting for good shower curtains to use as liners. The best I found for durability was Asda value range. A simple plain white shower curtain. Thanks for watching ☺

    CUTE!! Great tutorial Cheryl! I have a bias binding folding foot for my machine and have never used it, now you have shown us, I feel more confident about trying it now! Such a fun project! Couldn't we use the same method that you use for cutting a circle skirt (fold square of fabric in 4 and draw out the circle from the corner . . . if that makes sense . . . I don't know how to describe it?) It would make a great Christmas stocking filler! As always, TFS 👍❤

    Thanks Cheryl, these look great but the elastic tube is showing on the outside. Any way to hide it?

      Hi Samantha, the elastic should be incased in the bias binding inside the hat attached to the lining. Hope that helps.

      Hi Emma, Hmm I don't think that would work if you wanted a frill, but yes you could do it if you wanted the elastic on the very edge.

    Hello Cheryl. Is the bias binding that you are using is it duchess satin bias binding ? If it is where do your source it from as I cannot get duchess satin bias binding here in Australia. I am looking forward to seeing your next video, we are missing you

I have just received a beautiful Singer 401A sewing machine and it is just beautiful to sew on, only problem I can't get an actual bias binding foot for it, but I am so pleased to find this bias binding gadget. Have you got the glow in the dark cat material back in stock?

      Hi Modupe, for the shower caps I used a polka dot satin. I don't stock those ones currently but you can find plenty on eBay, no need to pay too much, it works with any satin. Have a lovely weekend, Cheryl.x
