The version tested was 1.06 on PS4 and 1.0.2 on Switch. The Switch footage here is from docked mode.
Switch in docked mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 1920x1080 and the lowest resolution found being 1600x900.
Switch in portable mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 1280x720 and the lowest resolution found being approximately 1066x600.
Switch in portable mode seems to drop below 30fps less often than docked mode.
PS4 renders at a native resolution of 1600x900.
Switch has some graphical cutbacks compared to PS4 in areas such as: foliage, lighting, shadows, texture quality and scene detail. Switch uses a form of anti-aliasing and PS4 doesn't appear to use any anti-aliasing. The Switch version exhibits stippling artifacts not seen in the PS4 version.

@Sam Thompson Switch textures are blurrier and there's image reconstruction involved.
Any interest in testing DioField Chronicle? Thanks as always for these!
Owning and playing both versions, there's one thing that isn't mentioned, the Switch version has a very slight input lag compared to ps4. Not big enough to be a problem, you probably won't notice it unless you played the ps4 and then play the switch version, but it is there.
Probably due to the differences in the fps.
Nice work! :)
Thanks for covering this, anyone know what type of reconstruction they could be doing on Switch, if it even is reconstructed?
This is the most impressive switch port I've seen so far.
Yeah, It's like 60% of the perfomance of PS4 (considering higher resolution + cutbacks), while having 25% of the power
Its really easy to impress nitendrone fanboys
@@snake2106 People must love being around you
@@nicerhabara he's not wrong tho.
@@date5960he's wrong because the argument doesn't make sense, the guy said it's the most impressive port on the Switch, not in the history of video games, it's not a question of how easily he impresses, it's just that the Switch doesn't have better ports
My brain and eyes are not accepting 30fps 😵💫😵💫😵💫😁
So, why are you playing on consoles...
@@stikbotman who say i’m playing 30fps games on consoles?
Great port...the Switch is a crafty little piece of tech
Damn.. ps4 vers really struggled to keep 60fps..
Can't wait for the Switch Pro version which wil be 4K 60 fps :)
That rumor is long dead
@@dr.loomis4221 It will happen sooner or later.
The 30 frames on switch is more stable than the 60 fps on PS4.
Well, that's pretty obvious. If the PS4 had the game locked at 30FPS it would be totally stable, however it is powerful enough to be locked at 60FPS and rarely go below 50FPS.
test overwatch2
PS5 wins
That’s not here
@@destroyermcw626 It does lock it at 60 though...which is just lovely
