- Here is a new video edition of one of my favourite pieces!
This time we experimented with creating it in HDR format, or High Dynamic Range. This means that if you have a relatively new device, this video will look especially ‘punchy!’ The colours will be brighter and there will be more contrast and depth in the image. Fear not though! The video also looks great normally too :) If you open the video in the CZcams App on a recent iOS or Android device HDR will most likely be displayed correctly.
The beautiful artwork in the background is by the amazing Colombian artist Ledania, and the stunning painted guitar support is by the founder of Guitarlift himself, Felix Justen!

Such fervor- such passion… authentic? Well … that’s a debatable word… Jobim would never play like that !
@@annalisa14 i'm not talking about Jobim, but a brazilian way of playing, the way we do sincopation displacing the accent, that is different than a Jazz musician would, for instance.
Inside brazilian or any culture there are a full spectra of emotions, moods and ways of playing. And to me, this rendition of Felicidade is remarkable, and many brazilians would not be able to say that was played by a foreign musician

Mesmo que ela tenha gravado de um take só, provavelmente o vídeo foi feito depois, com mudanças de cena, etc
E mesmo o áudio, raramente é composto de um único take. Quando muito, o artista grava inúmeros takes e escolhe-se um. Mas normalmente se selecionam trechos de alguns takes e faz-se a colagem.
Quando eu ou vc tocarmos nessa pegada e produzir vídeo com essa qualidade aí dá pra chegar falando
quem vê o comentário até parece que é o maior concertista do mundo ou o maior produtor criticando

The song’s lyrics tells us that sadness doesn’t have an end, but happiness does. When I listen to this performance I get the impression that happiness is the endless one… well, at least while Stephanie is playing :)

OK, so I've watched Stephanie play literally dozens of highly technical pieces with feeling, perfection, and passion. She has mastered each piece and committed each to memory. I don't play, but can't possibly fathom how anyone might be able to do this. Her talent is beyond understanding.

Love it Stephanie that you are not tied to any particular genre of music. Most classically trained musicians find it difficult to "swing" be it Latin or Basie type. It is not just note lengths is it? You can, "feel" it and it's in your soul. I simply love what you do. Thank you.
