- I have tried a couple different automatic litter boxes now, and the PETKIT PURAMAX performed quite well in comparison. There was one thing that you should know before buying that could help you out.

I was worried they wouldn’t use it but the motor is very quiet and my cats are not scared of it at all
That’s great! Yea, it isn’t loud at all, which is really nice. Even my scaredy cat who is my older cat, he uses it pretty quick.
Very difficult to clean from inside and replace with fresh filler. After two days smell horrible. Not recommending

Still worth it 8 months later? I just preordered because of prime day, but I've seen so many reviews of the litter tray still smelling, it leaking below...which I would've thought would depend on the quality of the litter....but I've been put off by so many negative one star reviews.... I'm just not sure

Mine leaks urine into the base. Petkit customer service are awful

No, it’s from using fresh step litter which has this sticky stuff in it to smell good, and I’m pretty sure I mentioned it in the video too. So whatever you do if you get this one, you don’t want to use any litter that has sticky stuff in it to smell better like fresh step. You also don’t need it, because of the air sanitizer inside.

I do wanna know if you've had any issues with the urine leakage and then pooling problem? It seems to be the #1 complaint about the litter box and if it's as prevalent as people are making it seem it's 100% a deal breaker for me.
