I really h@te that presscon. Stell is a happy pill but he's also the most sensitive and most emotional among them, he have such a beautiful soul, he don't deserved that kind of disrespect and hate 💔 Glad he's more confident and stronger now so those negativities doesn't affect him that much anymore as well as the other members 💙

Episode 2 is actually a proof how Kpop dominated Filipino Dance Competitions when it is usually a YOUVE GOT SERVED or STEP UP style competition back then.
Cashual Chuck is really good in researching and doing Docu-series like this..
The intricacy of everything they do is so beautifully put together. They put Easter eggs in everything they create, so intently, yet in plain sight with double meanings, branching off in different direction’s but still leading to the same place. They are truly artists in so many ways.
Chuck's series is quite well made but he did took some facts for dramatic liberties. In their actual interviews and during their stay at PBB (Pinoy Big Brother) house, the split occured pre-debut. It was Stell who remained from the core group and Jah who was an intern/trainee would check on him when the others left. So they would end up training together for a couple of weeks until the other members went back.

You can hear the boys telling their story on their interview with Toni Talks it is in tagalog but it has an english subtitle...Hearing them telling their story make me feel teary because I witnessed how people criticized them when their 1st exposure in big media. Big medias those days were really arrogant. Thanx to social media the boys was discovered by A'tin..

40:40 up to this day, i haven't watched the whole presscon interview. the clips i've seen were enough to break my heart and make me angry. I don't know why people have to bother artists about their preferences and come out so rude about it. it's also so irrelevant. grrr. they are out there to show their talents, their preferences is none of our business. huhuhu

i think Aurum in A'tin is SB19 recognizing their fanbase before going viral. As far as i know, it was the running fandom name when the fanbase wasn't that big to have a name yet. In their humble beginnings, the SB19-A'tin relationship is very intimate and they are very in-touch with the fandom, so it's not really far-fetched.
50:10 "Aurum" is the latin name for the Element GOLD, this is why, in the Periodic Table, Gold is represented by "Au" (it's for "Aurum"). The earliest fans of SB19 called themselves Aurum because their thinking is that they "found GOLD" in SB19. SB19 also keeps referencing A'TIN and GOLD in their skits, MV and even their music itself. If you recall, their latest title hit is GENTO. Aside from being the slang for the phrase "like this", "GENTO" is also a double for "GINTO" which in Tagalog means "GOLD". If you think about it that way, "GENTO" doesn't only mean their method of success or their talents, but also their fans--who they constantly credit for and consider as their success.

41:00 The irony about this whole thing is that the one who was asking is both a "professional journalist" and also a queer person. You would think a professional journalist wouldn't be so disrespectful to cross that line in a public press conference, much less a queer person themself who SHOULD KNOW how inappropriate and uncomfortable the question is. And by the way, there are quite a lot of insensitive journalists like this one. There is also a very talented group of singer kids who were asked the same question. Those kids are now well into their teens but back then, they were just around eleven or so. And somehow, it's always that gay journalist who asks the question. It's almost as if they would ask that question in public so that when someone admits, it serves as THEIR OWN validation. So twisted, if you ask me.

I always look forward to your RV's and am very interested in listening to your commentary too! The interview that was featured in Episode 2 was one that is very painful to watch for A'tin. SB19 at that time took the brunt of all the insults & judgement from the press since they were the first P Pop group to debut after undergoing Korean training. It took several tries for me to be able to watch it in its entirety since I end up either getting angry or being in tears because of how they were treated by the press then. But I was impressed by how well they were able to answer the questions thrown at them in spite of the rudeness that was shown by the reporters. It made me want to support them even more. Btw I only became a fan of SB19 because of their song What?, even if I had heard of them before. It made me watch all the material I could on them from their songs and the interviews they've done. There is one song that they covered from another artist, "Bakit Ba Ikaw", which became one of my favorites even if it was not their original song because of how they made it sound like their own.
