Are you still happy with the reginox panama, does it still block the smell.? Does it get dirty from the water waste, and does that prevent it from closing fully to prevent smell ? It looks really clever and space saving
Yes still very happy. So good having the extra drawer space. I don’t ever see the drain pipes like in every other kitchen I’ve had. Yes it blocks the smell extremely well. Once I thought it had failed but then cleaned it and perfect again. That was after 6 months use. The lesson from that cleaning was that I really need to be more careful of any food scraps going down the drain. In short, they just shouldn’t go down there. Same bad habit will make any drain stink. So yes, very happy and would (and will) use the same system again. Thanks for watching and I hope this little video helped you out. That’s my reason for making them.. oh and because it’s fun!
I'm looking at their sink and this but wondering how long does that rubber seal last? If it breaks down it's gonna be a pain to replace. Also do you need to clean by disconnecting the pipe?
Good questions. Yes you still need to clean the pipe sometimes. Yes you need to disconnect the pipe. How often depends on how much gunk you let go down the plug hole. As for the silicon seal. So far so good in our sink. Ask me again in 5 years. 😀
Yeah totally happy. It’s probably due to be cleaned again, but it it hasn’t given me any further issues. So if I don’t smell anything.. I’ll keep on assuming it doesn’t need cleaning. 😀 Yeah I’d buy it again. When the cottage build happens, it’s definitely on the must have list. In fact it’s perfect for the cottage as the system avoids any water sitting in a trap so that means one less thing to do when preparing the cottage for the winter freezing period.
