Love the clouds
That’s fabulous Ian. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Love your cat !!!
Believe it or not I am colorblind so it’s hard for me to mix colors to come up with the color you mix. As long as you say the color I can buy it. I just started painting and love it. I just watched your tutorial for beginners on #168 beach scene and it was very helpful
So lovely. I will try this🦋🦋🦋thank you so much🌸🌸🌸🌸
"Yuminess" and "dont turn it to snot". Best commentary on a painting vid, ever! I loved this. Looks amazing. Thanks.
Thank you lanapolis
Wow is that a Meteorite shootin by an Eclipse!! Dreamscape so mystical💫

Love you. You make me want to pick up paints and brushes and try again. You make it look so easy. Thank you. You are a thorough patient teacher.

Love this ❤!
Hello from Indianapolis Indiana USA
hello to you and welcome
This is the coolest cloud painting method I've seen so far!
IAN you have become one of my very few absolute favourites! I love the way you show how things are done and do it in a very down to earth way! Happy New Year! I look forward to more pictures from you. Cheers!
Good morning Ian. I just did this painting and it came out pretty good. I’m a new painter. 4 months or so. You make me laugh and you have cats. I feel like you and I could be good friends if we lived closer. I’m funny too, but I’m really sick and I don’t laugh as much as I used too. I love painting and have done several of yours. Thank you for painting and making me laugh.🐈⬛🐈⬛
Great to hear!
Love the way you teach...love the purple here!
Molto bello e molto bravo
Love, love, love your tutorials! Steve is adorable as well❤️
Ian?!? He's a good shit in the long run!
How ya doing? In this lockdown you are my hero: not only for your painting tutorials, you just cheer me up with the down to earth banter. God ,I love Australians. (I am in Aberdeen , north of Scotland but hate the SNP. nationalism )My clouds are better now and I am practising your purply moon...have added loving couple caught in the moonlight.
.
Holy moly that’s beautiful!! Can’t wait to try something with the techniques you taught! Thank you so much!! Your amazing
I was mesmerised watching you create this, Ian. You certainly made it look easy. I am sure there will be many
Eager pupils aiming to replicate it. Thank you for being so down to earth and making painting a joy. Cheers Marie ‘downunder ‘
Absolutely Gorgeous night sky! You make it look SO easy ...
Thank you for your excellent patient instructions.
Who would not like a beautiful painting. Ian
Love your work
I must have Watched you paint this at least 20 times and I still can't make my clouds look like yours! I even went to the hardware store and bought what looked like the same brush as you use. Most of the problem is I just don't know what the heck I'm doing! You make it look so easy!!
let your clouds come to life how every they are turning out, dont need to have them looking like mine, over time in painting your cloud for what they are they will soon start to look pleasing to you and that is all that matters, it took me many many year to get my clouds the way they look now.
Wow that's a beautiful painting especially with the wet version. Love it!♥
Wowwwi was searching this

Beautiful! Hello new subbie here from Alaska! I can't wait to watch more of your vids and be even more inspired. Thanks a bunch for sharing your awesomeness!
Wow just beautiful! Think I'll give it a try...wish me luck! Happy New Year Ian!
Stunning!!!
Just beautiful😊
You made this so easy to do. I've tried it, will have to redo mine, not quite sure on the clouds to created them so soft. I guess practice makes perfect.
yes practice will always give you greater results
I really enjoyed watching this video!! I am very new to this and this may be a dumb question but I was wondering, would blue work instead of the purple? Would I still get a beautiful night sky that looks just as dreamy as this one or would it be too dark? Thanks
yes it will
Wow your really good and i like the video, but what is with the lab coat and your name on everything?
Danke für das zeigen und ein gutes Jahr 2019
Bonne année Ian et surtout bonne santé et pleins de beaux tableaux pour vous :))
Great lesson!
Beautiful 😍
Greetings from Mentor Ohio Ian!
I’m your newest ascribed, Your a great teacher! I would like to make a suggestion if I may...please list your products, like what kind of Retarder, brushes, paint your using, at the end of or as your doing your wonderful works of art.
Thank you so very much! You are a real blessing to all!
Thanks,
Respectfully Yours,
Jeffery in Ohio USA
Can u use a glazing medium instead of a retarder and do u use in in your clouds. I love how u pull the background into your clouds it is so natural. How would u approach getting that look when your painting has dried? Thanks new subscriber for sure
no glaze is not designed to slow down the drying time of the acrylic, not used in the clouds, leave your painting that has dried and do another one with the elements you want to add its all good practice as we all need heaps of it.
Very very Nice! ..
Super
Great tuto Ian Greetings from Kosovo
Thank you dude💖
Can't wait to try this, but it also got me thinking. Could you do this with Prussian Blue & black, then add lightening strikes?
you can always change the colors up, absolutely
Question: What size Posca pens do you use? Fine tip .07? Or medium tip? Love this painting Ian! Of course, I love all your work. You're a great teacher. I've learned so much from you!!!
i use a 1 mm tip
“Brush stroke it out like a gentleman” I fucking lost it 😂
How are you keeping this wet? What medium are you using?
retarder
Gosto das tuas explicações
hello, just watched your vid for the 3rd time. loved it. can you tell me as im partially sighted can I use your technique on a small corner wall in my bedroom ? thought id start small asi m not realy sure what im doing.i want to add some mauves, soft reds n picks. which coulr would I use for topping, yummified, of the clouds. want to give your way a try. thanx
it may work on a plastered wall test a bit of an area and see how it goes
👏👏👏👏👏
Iian sorry to be picky but clouds precipitate down not participate down
Otherwise bloody ace mate!
It would be nice to know the size in INCHES TOO... 😂It matters here in the USA
Judi Booher google will convert it. There are also conversion charts. He is not from the US, the US painters definitely don’t give cm conversions. It’s approx 16x20.
👏🏼💫🥰
First time watching you channel...I’ll be back! And sub too.
Paint pen? Acrylic? Have you ever used it while painting?
I did use it when i painted steve my cat for his whiskers
@@ianapolis I will say, you have encouraged me to attempt more in acrylic. Wet on wet is tricky enough in oil.
Yumminess 🤣
What brushes did you use?
i use 2 inch from the hardware
I’m so upset - just tried attempting this and barely even began before I realised that I bought oil paint retarder, not acrylic 😩
That is a lovely night sky scene, really amazing nuances of violet shades to lavender hue. You are an accomplished artist. All the best for 2019! I do art too. If you have time, I sincerely invite you to visit my channel. Thanks.
I had a look at your channel, it is nice to see people showing there art journey in progress, keep up the fun you share all the best Ian>
