  • Alan Wilson Watts (6 January 1915 - 16 November 1973) was an English writer, speaker and self-styled "philosophical entertainer", known for interpreting and popularising Japanese, Chinese and Indian traditions of Buddhist, Taoist, and Hindu philosophy for a Western audience.

    While I enjoyed the talk, I kept being distracted by the many, many mistakes in the transcription. Some of these mistakes actually change the sense of what is being said. Please go back, listen very carefully to what Alan actually says, and either correct the text or remove it entirely. Thank you.
