I hope prince Edward continues to present these histories-they are very well done and I enjoy them immensely.

The series was made over 20 years ago. HRH is in his late 50s. He is also called Edward Windsor. When he married in 1999 and was given the title Earl of Wessex, he started being called Edward Wessex. Sadly, I expect within a few years he will be called Edward Edinburgh.

@danivarius his father Duke of Edinburgh is dead now. His title of duke automatically moved to his eldest sont prince Charles. After death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II he bacame king Charles III and then happend something what they call title has reverted to the Crown. After that king chooses whom he will bequeath the title. He chose Edward and Sophie as was the wish of the late Queen and Prince Philip.

I think that not using his title is brilliant and the casual way he appears and presents this programme is of great interest.
    Very unstuffy

Being from this part of the world, I'm, very, interested.
Who would've thought that the 'petulant, brat' (that we say at that ill-tempered press conference at the 'royal, it's a knockout' event, in 1987) would become the responsible adult we see in this documentary. I'm impressed.

I love this series! However, every once in a great while, a historical goof, shall we say, appears. In this particular episode, the narration is talking about Elizabeth's position as Mary's heir. The portrait shown while this narration is heard? That of Mary, Queen of Scots. Just a slight wobble, IMO, but why wasn't a portrait of "Bloody Mary" used?

Yes, and Elizabeth wasn’t sent to the Tower for the Seymour affair. I think her servant Thomas Parry was, and maybe Kat Ashley. Elizabeth wrote furious letters to get them released.

The Catholic"church" it's priests and popes destroyed the original idea of a Christian congregation!
Although there are numerous ones now! Each congregation was/is independent with their own Elders! If one believes Jesus is the Son of God by confessing that belief and is scripturally baptized FOR the Remission of sin, one automatically becomes a priest, a saint and a king in the Church!
