This is the building of the Tamiya 1/35 Tiger 1 early. I decided to use some different techniques including hairspray and artist oils pin washes and others. I tried to compress this video down to a reasonable size , but there was many many steps. I hope you enjoy

Me to looks realistic 👍
I just retired and thought I'd take up building models for fun. I did not realize how much it's changed in 50 years; very complex and involved. Thanks for this tutorial 👍
Ha...I was thinking the very same thing. How this hobby has evolved since the days when my parents bought my first glow in the dark Frankenstein model. Remember those?
Terrific job, absolute masterpiece. Definitely gonna build a Tiger 1 with a snow camo after seeing this beauty
I just built this exact same kit, quite a joy, perfect typical Tamiya fit and finish. I like how you tackled the winter paint scheme. It really came together with that hairspray wash. Thanks for sharing.
I built the 1975 tiger one from tamiya but i just did the overall desert yellow with light brown and weathered it with dust and rust pretty good kit
This was an absolutely amazing video!! I have tried a couple of winter camos before and they never looked realistic enough. After watching you complete this masterpiece, I can't wait to give it another shot Thank you so much for sharing your techniques!!
Sweet! Tiger build and weathering all in one video... Only channel that does this right so far... Great explanations and quality.

@@AndysHobbyHeadquarters Can we roll the wheels of tamiya models?
Thank you Andy! Through your videos I am getting interested in building scale models again (after I did some in my childhood). Greetings from Germany!
Catching up on some of your older videos and found this one. One of the best Panzer grey schemes I have come across (shame to cover it up) and loved how you layered the whitewash and gave it a worn and weathered look. Great job on painting and weathering overall!
That was a real pleasure to watch and the finished result is absolutely brilliant.
Going to try this effect on my Dragon King Tiger when I get it together. Thanks for sharing your tips and your Tiger looks awesome!
Hi Andy. Your videos are awesome and also made me a customer. Just got back into the hobby. Your weathering is mind boggling.
Wow! Amazing paint job!
Just started the very same model. Well done on the winter effects.
Loved the music as well
Can't believe how easy you can make it look. Awesome work and A+ for the video and explanation.
Superb job, I’ve had one of these kits for about four years, this may inspire me to get it built.
Great job Andy love the look of the white wash effect inspiring me to get this kit
Wow, just wow! If it wasn't for the background, I could swear it's a real tank. Amazing job!
supeer, this is very beautiful. And tiger is my favorite tank. Greting from Russia ( P.S. sorry for mistakes )
Rostislav Sidorov they don’t have auto correct in Russia
Another nicely done model build! Keep 'em coming.

Nice! Loved the soundtrack, too.
My fav German ww2 tank. You made your model look just as you would see it on the field in combat . Amazing work!!!
That detail is incredible, such a good job
Very relaxing to watch, a fantastic job as usual Andy.
Superb!!! And this is a go to blueprint to any novice starting out on weathering!!! Very informative!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏

+Flavio Babbo Thank you
Thank you! I'm just coming back to modelling after a...40 year break! If I can get my Panzer Ausf.D even half as good as you have here, I'll be happy. I think I'm going to need a decent sprayer soon!!
Are you still doing models?
Thank you for the great info. Love your commentary as it is clear and concise.
Very helpful Andy. Much appreciated. Please keep the videos coming.
Great show. You are a master of showing , How- to- SNOW- Your-Tank. Also your music is of good taste, It allows you, to think, and check, about each step, as you go apon your way, to be finishing a product. NICE.
Thanks heaps for this, I'm at the stage of using hairspray, FYI, if you let the water soak into the paint for 30 seconds you don't need to scrub so hard. Thanks for the tutorial, just the perfect amount of time.
Looking very nice! Great job!
Love it! I've always wanted to do models but being on disability I just can't afford it. I live vicariously through you. Awesome models, great channel!
Love this tutorial video, going to be using some of your techniques on my next Tiger 1 build.

Very nice work mate!!
The best models TIGER 1,perfect job man 10/10)
Your paint job is so realistic I wish I can paint and build like you
I wish i could come to your workshop for a day man your work is awasome!
Just used your weathering technique on a dragon 1/35 Tiger. Worked awesome. Came out very good on the one i did. Also, having now done one Tamiya tiger tank and one dragon that was more expensive. The Tamiya kit fit together better, and overall seemed higher quality. Just didnt come with as many pieces as the more expensive dragon
Tamiya is a good company iv bought uss hornet, uss yorktown, a 1975 tiger 1 and a m41 walker bulldog all were easy to make and well detailed as well as durable for a model
IMPRESSED .. LOVE THE RESULT....
Great job, looks awesome!
I do like Tamiya kits, very nice build, thanks for sharing. u know that monster is screaming diorama. lol

thanks Andy, that's one of your best yet..I've just purchased the same model and look forward to building it.. one thing from a learning perspective. .I'm a beginner/novice and would love a more detailed how to on the hairspray technique as both times I tried it ended badly?? many thanks and keep up the brilliant work!
A great job Andy
I am building this kit now... hint on the braided hose you need to cut to length, heat the cut ends with a flame like you would a nylon rope to keep it from fraying. it forms nicely and is much easier to glue in place.
Sir you are a Wizard!!! You make this look to easy that's the only problem!
Just saw this one today. Very nice!
Bravo. So for the past few days I've been watching alot of your videos. I actually just left a comment on one of them asking you to show how to do a winter weathering then I found this video. Now I've watched you do probably 10 tanks now, including the King Tiger with full interior. All your work is top notch. But this vide is by far my favorite. Because this one looks really weathered. I can see this tank on the fiel. The only thing I think that could have been like the icing on the cake is if you had given it some battle damage. Which I would really love to see you do a tutorial on how to add scars to tanks. I don't just mean chipping, but like glancing hits where the armor got gouged or a hit by a bazooka that didnt quite fully penetrate the armor. If this tank had some of that it would be truly breath taking. But still I love your videos, I like that you have pleasant music in the background instead of some rave music like I have seen other videos do. Although Swan Lake is getting a little old. You should switch it up throw in some Beethoven, Mozart, or Bach. But seriously thank you so much for your videos. I live in Wyoming and I wish I lived close to your store. I'm thinking about getting back into modeling and would love to support your store and get your tips. Speaking of tips. So I watched a video a younger guy did. And like you he used the light glue for most of his build. But when he attached his armor plates and his hull build he said he uses a heavy glue for a better hold. Now was he just being over cautious, is this something I should actually consider? Just curious because I can tell you have been building a long time.
Thank you for this beautiful effort !
I hope that you shows us more videos shows aircraft of World War I and II..
Thank you again.
Great build Andy, I have made this kit, I added some SS camo. figures, the Commander & 4 crew members .
Dragon's version of this kit is amazingly detailed but a bit pricey.
Hi Andy excellent video I have been model maker on and off since was young and never thought do scheme colour in your video I have an hobbyboss tiger 1 in 1/16 if it anything like yours its going to look great thanks for the inspiration Steve from the UK
Hey Andy, I just got this kit, and the first thing I did was to look for one of your build videos! I love to see all the weathering effects, but was wondering if you could do a video explaining the different techniques - dry brushing, pin washing, using oils, etc. Thanks and keep up the great builds!
