    Michael Keaton had the best Batman cowl. His facial expressions as Batman looked perfect. I always liked the cold freaky glare he gave as Batman and the way he even smiled at times as Batman. He definitely looked the role.

      I know what you mean. That's the Keaton smile. He'd do it in BeetleJuice too. That sort of psycho grin. Same expresion when he defies the joker in Vicky's house and gets shot in the chest. Imo it gives some depht to the character.

    • @conspiracybullshit3400
      @conspiracybullshit3400 Před 5 lety +19

      I agree. It gave the character more personality while still managing to make him dark and scary. It's not just the smile though. The way he coldly glared as Batman whenever he wore the cowl looked perfect. He always looked intimidating whenever he wore the suit. Something I feel that the other Batman actors lacked cause at times their facial expressions as Batman looked silly.

      Bat Man Well whatever he was aiming for I like it and it fits Batman well. Keaton's persona as Batman was closest to the character in my opinion. I like the chill and silent and mysterious personality of his Batman. It's how Batman acts in the comics.

      @@blakemcnamara9105 I don't mean the comics and books, but the video media. And three topics: Miller wasn't the only one to make a dark and violent tone for the character. Bat's first tale against Alfred Stryker has him thrown into a vat of acid - the basis for the joker tale by Alan Moore, and yes, I know Alfred Stryker and the Joker aren't the same character. Second, Miller didn't directed any movie - despite colaborating in scripts - up until 2005, whereas Burton carrer in direction started in '85. Third, Miller's work influence due to his work is here to this day. He was one of the first storytellers in the superhero genre to take stories to take on grit to supass the conventions of society to achieve justice, rather than being guided solely by kindness.

    Still my favorite Batman costume, possibly the Batman Returns is slightly better. Cowl better but prefer the muscle look on the abs on this one.

    One of the reasons why I like this and Returns's suit better than the others is because besides the color swap from blue and grey to just black, it literally looks like the comics. More notably, Marshall Rodgers's or Neal Adam's art style translated to live action. They didn't morphed the ears, or drawed lines all over it or plastic peices all over. It's just the suit from the comics just darker. Even when he's silhouetted in the church scene, he looks like a demon wondering the shadows.

      He definitely comes across as that in interviews, but I’m curious to know what he’s like on set. Based on his designs and the performances he pulls from his actors it seems to me that he can communicate what he wants from his co-workers.

    Michael Keaton and Burton did a very well job with the first Batman movie. Batman is very dark and mysterious and I think this representation was there in de 1989 film. I think this is the only way why Batman is able to do what he does, to work in the shadows with great fighting skills and rich and smart enough to use the most modern technololgy. Ben Effleck is very slow and dull as Batman. Hope they will be able to make a cool Batman movie again.

    In retrospect, they should've kept the original design of the suit for the sequel. The idea was to convey the illusion of a supernatural organic creature of the night. Making it segmented body armor takes away that illusion and just leaves a guy in a tactical suit. It's the same thing that happened with Christian Bale in the dark Knight. When you lost that bulk that the first suit provided, he was just another guy dressed up as a bat.

    That style type of batman i am into is the blue and grey costume blue batcape cowl gloves spandex speedo briefs and boots with grey shirt with a bat symbol on his chest and grey man pantyhose tights on that bruce wayne usually dresses as Batman. Batman is not the only one with an all plain black batsuit. Cowl and cape. the only person who usually makes a batsuit. Cape and cowl all black is kathy kane who uses it to become batwoman. I may see the black movie batman style in the batman movies 1989 the 90s the 2000s the 2010s and the 2020s but i will see the blue and grey batman style in the 1966 batman movie. I know that batwomans style is all black and red. That is my tribute to batmans style and batwomans style
