Barry has a very normal sounding speaking voice. He is singing in falsetto, and his is one of the best ever. You DEFINITELY need to see the movie. It's VERY harsh (definitely rated R), but it is THE movie when it comes to New York nightlife in the 70s, especially around the disco scene. John Travolta is superb in the film, and the rest of the cast is also incredible.

"YOU SHOULD BE DANCING" - 1976, HQ Audio is definitely one track you guys need to check out!
(In this video, all four brothers are singing together, their baby brother Andy sharing a mic with older brother Mo - it's from a performance in Houston, TX - and this clip also shows a young John Travolta commanding the dance floor - as well as Sir Barry doing his own little twirl on stage, during the instrumental break ...).

Why would that be a problem?

I was 7 years old when "Saturday Night Fever" was released. I remember there was a lot of hype about the movie (especially that the guy from "Welcome Back Kotter" was staring in it) and the soundtrack was a bestseller. But suddenly everywhere you turned your head there was something either about the movie or disco - even K-Tel Records started selling albums with paper diagrams of footprints to put on the ground in order to teach people how to do disco-era dances like "the Hustle." The '70s was a weird decade.

This was one of my favorite Bee Gees songs.I was 10 when this came out and I had the Soundtrack! I do remember roller skating to this and You Should Be Dancing! What a fun time! I had a major crush on brother Andy Gibb ! Also no this is his falsetto voice. They are from Australia so he has a bit of an accent but their earlier stuff before the disco era he used his regular voice which to me sounds a lot like baby brother Andys voice. You definitely need to check it out.Jive Talkin is a good one ! Keep On Rockin'

Only from 1976 up to 1979, they were what you call 'Disco'. In their own opinion it's been dancable, soulful rockin' R&B. I think 'Disco' are songs like 'Fly, Robin Fly', 'Daddy Cool' or 'Yes Sir I Can Boogie'. Just too simple, to lable Bee Gees like that! 1100 songs from 1961 up to 2001, they've written. Many, many hits in every decade, they've been arround. For excample 'To Love Somebody' from 1967, 'I've Gotta Get A Message To You' from 1969 or 'You Win Again' from 1987. But many more to find.

Disco was the rage and for a 17 year old ( which i was back then) the clubs were jumping and the people were amazing. Such great memories and so many vices and distractions along life's journey. Simply mind blowing to look back and think, wow I made it through those times lol We had many new things along those times but the music helped us stay grounded and remind us of our emotions and struggles along the way! Thank you for the reactions and as always much love and blessings to you guys!

They used this drum track on 'Stayin' Alive' because the drummer couldn't make it to the studio. They just ran it in a loop. Most of 'How Deep Is Your Love' is their normal voices. And if you notice, Maurice is wearing the same shirt in this video as in 'How Deep Is Your Love'. 😄
