darius has to control the wave even if he has to die to get it to bounce. That slow push was brutal and it made sure darius had absolutely no chance. darius tried to ooga booga kill it because well it's darius. of course he doesn't know what playing safe is. At 10 minutes it was about 90 cs vs 29 while being down 3-4 levels and darius tried to fight as the wave was finally about to crash for him to get some xp and farm. So of course he tried to fight before it and died losing even more. If WW engages darius has to disengage and run. Try to stay in xp range if you can or reset. Get the recall boots to make it easier. No questions asked. After the first death he still didn't respect the power of WW and proceeded to run it down. Anyone can get outskilled that shit happens to everyone it's all about how you try to recover from it that matters. Darius tried to play it like any other lane where he can bully it and scale for free. 5 deaths in he was still trying to force fights. If he had sat back and got what little he could to try and stop the bleeding he would have had a chance or try his best to swap out to mid to get away from him. gragas would have handled him from the looks of it with how close that 1v1 was. Also darius didn't even attempt to adapt to the situation. Rush the anti-heal portion of thornmail then build whatever. It wont magically win the lane or game but it would at the very least slow down ww enough to stop bleeding out and start to catch up. 16 minutes was 149 vs 50 cs. In 6 minutes he managed to get 21 cs. That's about 3 waves worth of minions out of 9 waves.
I can HEAR the crumbling mental of the volibear having to recall under turret while a warwick 4 levels over him is a Q length's away standing completely still
I really like that you’re trying a bunch of different champs rather than just play a singular one. You’ve really inspired me to branch out and try other top laners. Loving this series

hey pekin, didn't know if u knew this but warwick q hold ignores displacements and knock ups, so you can q into a minion and ignore darius e, it also used to ignore morde ult, dont know if that interaction is still in the game

I mean for one thing Darius absolutely DESTROYS many other champs in 1v1s early. He also just may not face WW very often at all, and if he does and he crushes them, he has no reason to ever expect otherwise. I'm a top lane player and I disregarded WW for a long time til I had a game similar to this(I quit fighting him long before 10 deaths though). Because it just didn't make sense I lost the fights, because I'd never lost those fights against WWs before. Pekin is just actually good at WW and laning. So probably took this guy by surprise and he didn't know how screwed he was getting behind.

Logic kind of goes out the window sometimes and you go full tunnel vision when you see a low hp squishy target that can die in one ability. People don’t have the mental patience sometimes, happens to all of us.
This vid was great, i hope you do more ww too in the future for the climb, watching people get baited by low hp warwick never gets old and seeing someone eventually play the matchup properly would be entertaining too

7:00 You can activate WW's w if you are out of combat, then it stays for the duration even if you start combat; so you could W just before going on Darius to have some MS. You just can't use it while fighting or reactively
I've never seen even Warwick otps do the q tap to remove cc trick so I felt it's so unreliable it shouldn't even be attempted compared to holding. Maybe I just haven't watched enough ww otps though
@@PekinWoof I wouldn't usually use it intentionally to follow an enemy, but I do use the trick to counter cc. For example if mord ults you, you can use q tap to cancel his ult as you are "displacement immune". It can result in funny situations though when someone is tping and you didnt actually want to follow but the timing was there for the q tap and suddenly you are no longer on your own screen.
For WW, you want to level W or E over Q. Q max can be viable for short trades/harassing under turret but W is typically better damage and E is extremely efficient per level up and the damage reduction can catch people off guard and bait in kills that would have been otherwise impossible. Tiamat rush feels extremely good on top warwick, with stridebreaker into hullbreaker being the main item path. WW has a hit and run playstyle in higher elo, making grasp the rune of choice. For Darius in particular you want Dshield and Second Wind as they both proc off his bleed. Hullbreaker makes taking turrets as warwick... possible. You would also take demolish with grasp. Tiamat works as an item rush because the attack cancel feels EXTREMELY fluid on WW, and also allows you to push and dive easier early game as that is where WW wants to be. There's basically one WW micro technique I didn't see you taking advantage of, which is the way his passive works with his auto attack timers. His W passive attack speed has hp breakpoints where he gets significantly more attack speed, however, that attack speed doesn't apply to the WINDUP of the first attack after breaking the threshold. So you want to move then attack (kinda like riven fast Q) at each breakpoint which makes a significant difference in how quickly your attacks come out.
I would have loved to see a proxy to stop this darius from even getting back into lane - I think that would have been a great strat to just demolish his mental even further, and it might have even drawn more pressure for 2v1s?
Just a heads up about the Fiora killing the Zilean, you made a mention about how she shouldn’t have, but her killing the Zil allowed her to heal from her ult and stay in the fight, which resulted in a double kill and grubs. In that specific circumstance, it was worth it , a stall sure, but one that gained momentum

I cant understand why people just dont buy healing reduction against WW. Depending on your champ is even worth to rush it with initial item, depending in your champ.

idk why you keep saying you have no movespeed while in combat, it's not true, you lose the passive ms bonus right when entering combat but after 0.5sec it builds up back up again as long as you stay in combat.
Ive rarely played WW bot, ive also played him top and done ok. I actually use my knowledge of mj. I can pretty much tell were jg is gonna be based on the clock. You playing him top better than me but as i said 99% of my games are jg.
ww is not tuned to be a laner, i hate playing against it unless im doing some cheese strat. With a good pilot on him its a nightmare to play against, requires too many resources to shut it down

Yeah that still works, I probably should of mentioned it. For example if Zoe sleeps you, you can hold Q on a minion to completely remove it.

Just a small correction regarding Warick q, tapping or holding will both follow. Holding just makes it a lot more reliable as the window is longer.

Gives lots of pressure with W and mages go oom before you run out of hp. Usually.
