      Plus it's also used in other foods that may not be for "poor" folk, like sushi/sushimi. I wouldn't say that's exactly "cheap", but it's also not my type of thing to eat, so idk. xD But I mean, you can do a lot with rice that doesn't exactly scream "poor people".
      Generally though, yeah, using that description was just not good at all, no matter the circumstance.

    Yeah, Joy bashing Jessica's emotional exit doesn't age well. Not because of what happened to Jessica after the show, may she rest in peace, but purely because her own exit was also very tear-filled and showcased some major hypocrisy. And that's discounting her first dinner service where, had Nicole and Sandra not been so bad and dysfunctional, she'd have gone up herself.

      I totally agree with you that Trev didn’t seem to deserve the bullying and was so glad Scotley got eliminated before him. I think he chose Scotley over Gizzy is because she was showing a lot of self-doubt in the episodes prior.
      On the topic if Trev, however, I do think there’s a lot more that went on behind closed doors than we were shown. Scotley mentioned ‘Trev’s clipboard’ once to which Trev said ‘it’s a notebook’. I haven’t seen the full season only the parts uploaded to youtube, but I never saw said notebook/clipboard.
      This, to me, indicates that Trev could have pissed off his teammates one way or another with perhaps a nitpicky attitude which was cut out during the editing of the show.
      I just like to take this show with a grain of salt, because we know the editors like to make people seem different (dumb/bad) than they actually are just for views.

    Okay, if there’s a list of Face-Turns next week, I have to nominate Robyn for her All-Stars run. I know this channel doesn’t seem to be too high on her, mainly in part for her Season 10 edit (something I don’t even think she’d defend), but I’d make the case she matured BIG time on All-Stars. She started out kinda rough, being the only one to bomb the Signature Dish challenge and even getting into an argument with Elise early on. Even when she was switched to the Blue Team, she was shown to be really upset over it, breaking down crying and asking to be moved back to the Red Team after her first weak service on the Blue Team. But as the season went on, she became more and more likeable, becoming the goofy, fun narrator of the season with some of the funniest quotes and moments on the show. And in her performances, she improved on challenges after being nominated for the Cook For Your Life challenge (and very nearly going out on it). And while her dinner services weren’t perfect (she probably would’ve gone out at the Top 8 had the Blue Team lost) she improved there as well. I saw tons of comments saying they disliked Robyn on Season 10, but fell in love with her on All-Stars. So she went from being Season 10’s Elise to being HK’s answer to Ra’Jah O’Hara, Roxxxy Andrews, or Jerri Manthey.

    • @heymistercarter.
      @heymistercarter. Před rokem +16

      And for even more of an idea of Robyn's growth and maturity since Season 10: she was recently on an episode of the Food Network show Super-Chef Grudge Match, where she competed against someone who used to work under her. Her competitor commented that, while he worked for her, she tended to act very crazy, yelling at him a lot and apparently even throwing stuff at him. Towards the end of the episode, Robyn acknowledged that, while she acted that way to give this guy a taste of what she went through when she started as a chef, she doesn't stand by that behavior nowadays, is more mellowed-out in her approach, and apologized for her behavior. So I'd say that's pretty commendable and shows real growth on her part.

Damn, and this was during the Signature Dish challenge, too. Boy, for me, just watching his (for lack of a better word) "so-called" heroic speeches did diddly-squat for either the blue or the red team, with the latter hardly winning a challenge during his short tenure. Oh, if that wasn't baffling enough, he tried to throw the red team under the bus for throwing him off his game during service, which did little to help his case, considering he wasn't much better with the blue team, too busy meddling with everyone's station more than his own.

So at a certain point. Yes, Of Course Everyone would consider Tara a weak chef and would gun for them to be eliminated. and especially after Alyssa got eliminated. they were shown to make 1-2 noteworthy mistakes every service they stayed here. but you cannot Justify Cheyenne's Downfall as Karma when she literally hasn't done anything wrong here. They Gunned after her because she was the weak link of their team, which at this point in time, she absolutely was the weakest link, The Accusation people place on the 20's something of singling her out because of Zoomer Vs Boomer Mentality was BS because Tara did the exact same thing since the start of the competition. So yeah, No Karma was dealt here. Tara should have seen this coming for a mile away. and this is not even including her essentially attacking the rest of their team and playing the victim card for her being targeted by everyone else for a social reason when it was a service reason. and her meltdown was just annoying to see, and then there's Alex which. Alex thought that using the punishment pass on her would be the best for the morale because she didn't want for someone to freak out like Sommer did when Alejandro used his Punishment pass on them (although I think that was more because of Abe attacking her for no reason). but I think Alex using it on Sommer would have been Better then how Tara took it. because her meltdown here was just pathetic. Alex Used the Punishment Pass on her which forced her to do a punishment instead of going Bowling and Eating Food from there. Her Meltdown was both Pathetic on the basis of what happened in her season and what happened in older seasons.
      First of all. She didn't even participate in the challenge at all. her dish wasn't being judged as the decision to exclude her was Swift and Professional. then Tara was Upset at doing her 5th Punishment. which the problem with this is when you take a look at some of the older seasons, There had been plenty of contestants that gotten barely any rewards throughout the entire competition. and while they did complain about it, they didn't blow up at everyone because of this, and Most of them got either less rewards or not as good of rewards. Trenton (S20), Jon & Anthony (S11), Trev (S18). Just to name a few didn't acted how Tara did and they had to literally suffer through so much shit in their run. Tara had 2 Luxurious Rewards that were also relaxing. And then Theres the Punishment pass used on her which her reaction to this was insanely petty. While Alejandro used his Punishment Pass to Target Sommer because he thought this would cause Sommer to Crash and Burn. Alex Used it on Tara because he thought she would react to it the best. and when Alex tried to mend things with Tara, She Blew him off giving her the cold shoulder. then went vitrail towards her entire team for stuff that wasn't even their fault or even stuff they did. I think Joy was cut uncharitably in this video. In the same episode where she was mad at the other chef for bringing up that she was homeless, she also reveals that she too was homeless, but didn’t want to bring it up as she felt like it would just be for pity points. She also did not want to take advantage of something many struggle with, and was upset that somebody else did. So I feel she’s a bit more justified, and I don’t think she was mocking that lady for being homeless. However, her breakdown was definitely a heel turn as I definitely wasn’t expecting that during my binge if that season.

Plus, (at least from the show) the older women didn't make any real effort to connect with the younger girls either. And her tantrum when she was swapped for the reward? It wasn't a slight against you, Tara. I understand that she hadn't had a reward yet, but she was picked because it was assumed that she could handle it. Now, she's probably quite the lovely person IRL, but she just seemed like the biggest complainer on the show.

    Another person that deserved on this lists:
    -Dana Season 10: She along with Christina and Barbie are the only sane members of the toxic Red Team Season 10 (Not included Brianna, Danielle and Roshni as they're early boots and Roshni moved to Blue Team) but out of nowhere, she nominated Barbie because she makes weird faces while cooking while Mia in Season 18 becomes runner up even though she's alao making weird faces every time she's cooking along with Petrozza Season 4 and Mary Season 11. Also, she's finally showing her true color on Final 4 and on Finale when she's making Christina look bad by sabotaging her twice! I guess Robyn is right, you can't be friends in competition.
    -Russell Season 8: The guy was cool at first and he's not one of the people who likes to bully Raj but then he becomes a complete asshole in the middle of competition and even always want to punch somebody! Oh yeah, let's not forget his loss on finale.
    -Kiya Season 20: The girl is a strong contender but then in Black Jacket round, she becomes too salty to Trenton just because Trenton keeps winning on challenges and even saying "I hate Trenton" many times which becomes so annoying until the finale. And she got crashed and burnt in Final 4 since she couldn't notice the sabotages and had a breakdown in the pantry.
    -Melissa Season 3: She went from strong contender even got Best of The Worst and not nominated Julia in opening night to be a complete cuckoo in the middle of the show even has a crazy hair. And also the infamous duck breast on wedding challenge which caused by her. She's even throw her teammates under the bus and makes the Red Team can't stand her anymore even when she's cool with the Blue Team, she's just making it worse.
    -Marc Season 19: He's already annoying from Day One for talking too much but the guy is a decent cook even got perfect 5 on Signature Dish. But, since he can't stop talking, he's becoming irritating and I even root for Declan to punch him just once if they allowed to do violence. So much so, Cody has to sacrifice himself to be nominated which is 200 IQ move so Chef Ramsay can eliminate Marc for good.
    -Jennifer Season 13: She is a good chef but she becomes more annoying on Black Jacket round and she mostly always having confrotantion with Roe and Sade the most. Even though she's getting sick twice, she's still not redeemable.
    -Zacky Wacky Season 11: How is this guy went from the MVP on Opening Night to be the villain all of the sudden by sabotaging Ray for petty reason? As much as annoying Dan is, but Zack is irresponsible and also a liar. When Ja'Nel moved to Blue Team, it's his ultimate checkmate because he becomes the weakest link comparing to Ja'Nel and Jon.
    -Andrea Season 5: She was decent at first but then she becomes annoying and irritating even becomes worse on Black Jacket round. She mostly having confrontation with Carol at the most and she's also becomes cocky and arrogant even though she got kicked out from the kitchen in First Black Jacket round by not paying attention on Chef Ramsay's order. She's even making Sous Chef Scott snapped on Sabotage round because she keeps overreacting and even made him said the C-word to her. But still, she can't beat up Danny and Paula who both are so good and likeable throughout the seasons and I even root for both of them to win.

Only for both of them becoming total beasts in the middle of the season and Trenton went from being the quiet guy to be improving and even killing it on Black Jacket Round. Hell, he's even copying Ramsay's style by having a pencil on his ear. Megan also has a huge comeback from almost going home after charity night to be the Best of The Best for Blue Team next episode later. I don't count Trenton's nomination for ChickenGate episode as nomination because he and Antonio didn't do anything wrong for that stupid incident as Alex randomly saying Antonio's name and Antonio randomly saying Trenton's name until we found out Sam is the real culprit of that "incident". But, overall, I'm proud of him for not only breaking the record of the females winning the show since Season 13 for 7 Season Straight but also for being improving. Most of these are not Heel Turns.
      Im not going to Judge Brad as idk about his run because I barely watched Season 3, Corey was never one as she immediately tried to eliminate 2 of her teammates because she didn't get along with them and justified it by saying she didn't like them. Carol was an insane bitch throughout the entire competition. the reason why people might consider a heel turn is she stood up to Lacey. but thats just 2 evils going against each other. Idk about Gabriel, Antons a bit messy, Steve wasn't a nice person to start with but got a little better when Sade Joined their Team, Santos and Aaron never got bad, Brendan was just making excuses, not really someone who had a heel turn, Idk about Ariel. Mia didn't really get bad Socially. Just got a bit flustered, then brett was an asshole to her come time for the Black Jackets. Amber wasn't nice to begin with, Marc was abrasive to start. then tried to clear the air in the middle of the run. then got bad near the end. Idrk about Sommer

    Like who was always getting 1 point or no points on their dishes.
    Johnny from s16 comes to mind and a lot of s11 blue team, except for Jon. Robyn in all stars also struggled a lot with challenges and Matthew from Young Guns had two challenge dishes that were both terrible.

    • @nevenpatrk9661
      @nevenpatrk9661 Před rokem +3

      There are a few that instantly come to mind. First is S18 Trev, who had highlights such as losing a challenge because he didn't put fish on his plate, getting 0-4 on the blind taste test and getting ripped apart by the judge alongside Bret on the final 7 desert challenge. My next example is a surprising one, and that is Anthony S11. Like you wouldn't think of Anthony as a bad challenge performer, but he was very rarely the winning dish during his time in Hell's Kitchen and much like Trev, he got 0 out of 4 on the blind taste test. My final one is S13 Aaron, as I don't remember Aaron having a single good challenge dish, and he made it to the final freaking 9.
