They don't have to book accommodation at a hotel before booking their flights, all they have to do is provide an address for where they are going to stay while in your country. Send him your current address to use when booking flights and applying for the visa. That should work just fine. As for money, he uses the Remitly app so he can send money directly to my mpesa account. Its the quickest. There's also the option of PayPal but it's alittle bit more expensive and less dependable in my opinion. I hope that helps.
