- Take a look at the Tesco roundabout with a driving instructor and prepare for a Gillingham driving test. The Bowaters roundabout or Tesco roundabout as we now call it is a part of the driving test in Gillingham. To pass the driving test we have found that spending a bit of time getting to know this roundabout helps show the driving examiner a clean safe drive.
Preparing for a Gillingham driving test is important if you want to pass first time. You will feel less nervous on the driving test if you have practiced with a driving instructor or with responsible adult. There are a few big roundabouts in Gillingham test routes and this is one of them that needs a little practice before your driving test.

Thanks bud
You are welcome
Thank you for this video! Iâm always nervous about going slow on this roundabout because of other drivers but I feel I need to for lane discipline. What speed would you rexommmed for this roundabout
Good question. Once you are used to it you will keep pace with the traffic around you. You are correct that lane discipline is more important so go slower when your lane is spiralling out as this gives you time to check your mirrors for cars that are not keeping their lane discipline as well as you.
It's amazing how many people don't 'get' roundabouts. Need to be slow, just like Postman Pat!
Good tip
it's pretty easy not to get roundabouts because there is no consistency. look at the markings on the road for this one, it's totally insane. designed by a complete moron. You're constantly changing lanes for no reason.
@@purpleether5405 it is very logical once you understand it. The lane markings have been improved here and it is now easy to negotiate once you understand the rules.
@@ChimpOnCars I've been on it and there are parts where 3 lanes intersect. It's a mess on the road. There's no reason it should't operate like a normal roundabout, as soon as they have lane designations for a particular place you have to learn it ahead of time instead of just being able to do it consistently. There are parts where you stay in the middle lane, according to the markings, then have to quickly cross to leave in order to get your exit. It's very unsafe.
It sounds like you need some help to understand how a spiral roundabout works. Itâs worth paying a qualified instructor to give you help with this as there are quite a few around the country. Once you get it it you will be safe on them all.
what a terribly designed roundabout.
There are loads of spiral roundabouts around the country. They are fine if you follow your lane markings.
i keep messing up by accidentally changing lanes on this roundabout do you have any tips
That is common and the experienced drivers around you will be doing it too. Get used to how the spiral works on this roundabout. It becomes a lot easier with practice.
are these the only 6 ways around the roundabout tests can take?
They could use different routes so you need to understand how it works and not just learn the routes.
Do you offer driving lessons?
No, sorry. Iâm currently out of teaching driving and helping people start up small businesses.
still feel the nerves when i here the voice and instruction of a driving instructor lolđ€Łđ
Itâs funny how certain things bring back a vivid memory
