I don’t understand how the lawyer she is working with is so high profile. Any good lawyer would know that putting selective statements out addressing very specific lesser accusations, while remaining silent on the most severe and damaging accusations looks VERY bad. If a good lawyer is going to put out a statement for their client, it’s usually very broad and generalized, while trying to sway things in a more favorable light to their client, while still remaining within the confines of the truth (even if they manipulate it). This is just laughable! Colleen sure found a winner! Her and her scumbag lawyer deserve each other.

From what I can find the author isn’t a VF staff writer, he is a guest or freelance writer and extremely green (graduated this year and doesn’t seem to have a body of work that comes up on the first page of a google search). Letting someone so inexperienced lead this discussion on VF’s behalf already feels like they don’t care much about the quality of it’s coverage. I think it’s possible Andrew already had a conflict of interest with someone on Colleen’s “team.”
It was quite some time ago that I went to school for journalism so this is entirely anecdotal, but from my experience trying to get a story published when multiple publications have already ran something similar, having a fresh or unprecedented take was praised. I wouldn’t be surprised if whoever green lit this article doesn’t know majority of the actual allegations, assumed Andrew had struck gold here with a hot take and trusted just because he is younger, he’s the resident expert on internet drama. Read/watch outlets you like, outlets you hate, big names, little niche sites... And always check in with yourself-why do you believe what you believe? If this article was about any other topic, this would be considered shoddy, unprofessional, and unethical based on the bare minimum research that went into this. People are acting like it’s not a problem here because it’s about “CZcams drama” but if adequate research has been done, people would be aware of the gravity of the situation.

Books are often the only way those hurt can get there point across when big publications are doing this. Chrissie Foster wrote STILL STANDING after PopeFrancisHad sided with the priest who silenced her kids that were abused by priests as minors. N. Galilea also wrote books on it.

“She brought teens into an adult word and then those teens turned against her” WTF?!?! How can someone ACTUALLY write and publish that line?!?! A 14 year old OR ANY TEEN, shouldn’t have to deal with the adult world!! Teens are still CHILDREN and aren’t they supposed to be protected?? What in the hell is our society coming to that someone is blaming children for the irresponsible, inappropriate behavior of a fully grown, adult woman???? It’s pathetic really

Bingo. It's very much an echo of the people who glorify kids who've been forced to adopt adult responsibilities of being "mature."
It's not admirable to rob a child of their youth.
