    Family is a fundamental social institution in society, the family, is considered the primary and most important agent of socialization. Family typically consists of a man and woman and their children or two or more people who usually reside in the same home and share same goals and values. Traditionally, in all societies, the family has always been seen as a social institution; that has the biggest impact on society.
    Everyone is born into some form of family, with the family taking the responsibility of nurturing, teaching the norms or accepted behaviors within the family structure and within society.

      I agree and I attended a Sunday Teacher's Workshop one month ago.
      We were taught that God commands us to teach children because they are gifts given by God for us to nature. All we need to tell children about God's deeds.
      Apart from the bible stories all creations speak of his goodness.

      @@kermitthedab cat means life skills as in how to do taxes, how to properly socialize in the workplace, how to get an apartment/house, etc. School only teaches the absolute bare minimum. It has nothing to do with paying attention; schools don't teach us what we really need to know once we graduate.

    • @kermitthedab
      @kermitthedab Před 2 lety

      @@beckimess7398 That's what parents are for. Also notice schools don't teach you how to shave, get dressed in the morning , or fold your clothes? It isn't the responsibility of the school to teach you how to do your taxes or rent an apartment. All you have to do is ask your parents or use the internet to teach yourself. And if you don't know how to socialize in the workplace by the time you're done with high school, then you failed at socializing for the last 14 years in school. Some things you have to learn on your own or learn somewhere else. Stop blaming schools for your lack of initiative.

    • @rebeccam214
      @rebeccam214 Před 2 lety

      @@kermitthedab shaving, folding clothes and getting dressed are the bare minimum for parents. And some of us don’t have parents to teach us those things, let alone what we’re supposed to do once we graduate high school. There should be classes in school, at least optional ones, that teach you how to be an adult when you get there. It has nothing to do with initiative. How are we supposed to learn this stuff if our parents and school won’t teach us? I had to dive head first into the real world very unprepared and I did everything I could to learn what I’d have to do and where to go.

    • @kermitthedab
      @kermitthedab Před 2 lety

      @@rebeccam214 If you have no parents, then you probably aren't in school anyway and you have bigger problems. Whether it be your parents or whoever your legal guardian is you have a resource. If they don't help, use the best one of all, the internet. It has everything to do with initiative. High School is prepping you to be on your own by teaching you how to properly read and write English, understand basic science so you don't mix Ammonium and Bleach when you're cleaning your floors, History so you aren't doomed to repeat it, and Math so you don't have to pull out a calculator for basic stuff like calculating a tip at a restaurant. If you (not you specifically) need your hand held throughout your whole life you'll never socialize correctly or be independent. You said your school and parents didn't teach you things. But you took the initiative to learn what you needed to. So it does have to do with initiative. That's what it takes sometimes so good job on doing that. We can't depend on others for everything, and sometimes we have to pioneer.
