- Brother Tony wanted to become a Christian Missionary to bring Muslims to Christianity after he heard on the radio that"These Muslims worshiped a black box and they worship Mohammad" so he started to study the Bible which shocked him because he found out many things stated in the Bible which Muslims practice while Christians don't like :
A. he read about how Jesus (PBUH) prayed by putting his face on the ground along with many other messengers.
Here is the verses:
[Matthew 26]:
And going a little farther(Jesus) he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”
[Genesis 17:3]:
And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him
[Numbers 16:4]:
And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face
[1 Samuel 20:41]:
And as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of a place toward the South, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times
[2 Chronicles 20 Verse 18]:
And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed before the Lord, worshiping the Lord.
[Revelation 7:11]:
And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four living beings, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God

B. he read about the women head covering "The Hijab" in the Bible and how it told the women to cover up!
Here is the verses :
[1 Corinthians 11]:
states in verses from 5 to 9 about the women in Christianity :
5. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, for as much as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8. For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
9. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

C. he also read in the Bible about fasting where it stated that Jesus did fast along with others too!
Here is the verses:
[Matthew 4]:
1. Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
[Mark 2]:
18. And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?
19. And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
20. But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
[Matthew 6:16]:
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

and he also was confused because of the Trinity which he stated it doesn't make sense so he didn't believe in it and another thing which he said is that the God of the Bible is described as weak because he needs to rest and in other verses in the Bible it stated that Jacob beat God!!!

Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
[Psalm 78:65]:
Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.
Finally he came in contact with a Muslim and he started to see the truth.

i converted to islam from Judaism, it's truly the only way to the creator, its soo clear, even with my past research, know that prophet Mohammad in the oldest scriptures known to man , his name is there, and he was prophesied, many, many times, but my anncesestors did the most wicked thing ever by trying to rewrite the bible and the Torah, i pray to allah to guide my Israelites brother's to get back to allah, even in the hidden history or lost history, we know 70% of the biblical Israelites converted to islam during the rise of islam, thanks to allah.
I have researched all 3 Abrahamic Religions and found Islam to be the True Religion of God. As for Judaism it is all about the Chosen People and is almost racist as you cannot be a Jew unless you are descended from one of the Twelve Children of Israel. Judaism fails to satisfy the essential criteria of a religion by requiring external obedience to moral laws, having a secular focus, and lacking a concern for immortality.
Furthermore Judaism also lacks a belief in an afterlife which is actually necessary for human ethical behavior in this life.
And as for Christianity it is an almost idolatrous religion as they lack the principle of the One, True God with no partners. Christians had to follow One God, but they have made God multiple, not singular. And not to mention many of the internal consistencies and errors contained within the Bible. Many Christians try to combat this problem by selectively interpreting each verse according to the context of the verse, but critics argue that the selective invocation of portions of the Old Testament is hypocritical, particularly when those portions endorse hostility towards women and homosexuals, when other portions are considered obsolete. There are also hundreds of versions of the Bible, whereas only one version of the Quran.
This is the one of the many reasons why I chose to reject Christianity. And the reason why I chose Islam is because in the Old Testament it is mentioned: "God said to Moses, on whom be peace: “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.” (The Holy Bible, New International Version, Deuteronomy chapter 18, verse 18). The prophet described in the above verse must have the following three characteristics: 1. He will be like Moses. 2. He will come from the brothers of the Israelites, i.e. the Ishmaelites(Muhammad SAW was an Arab). 3. God will put His words in the mouth of that prophet and he will declare what God commanded him.
CONCLUSION: Muhammad was the Chosen One
You have taken the first step. Islam is more different from the two other Abrahamic religions you researched in important ways that concern you as a new convert. But let me hasten to tell you that a courageous person like yourself and the many people whom I've seen on this YT channel who also converted to Islam definitely appreciate and value Islam more than a person like myself who just inherited it from his parents. You didn't take a step into a new religion but into a new way of life where worship (3ibada in Arabic) is something you do, not only in prayer, fasting,.. but in everything you do in every waking moment. You have started a journey, if you wish to continue, that you take it easy and tread slowly.
Let me get back to the difference from other religions:
The Quran to a practicing Muslim (and you won't meet many) is completely different from the bible to a Christian for example. The bible is full of orders, not much different from those in the Quran, from God to men and women but Muslims take it very very seriously (about dressing decently, against adultery, gambling, usury,...). Most of the Christians I met, don't even know about these forbidden things.
I have yet to meet a Christian who can recite entire verses of the bible. Muslims, on the other hand, revere anyone who memories the Quran - called Hafiz - and there are hundreds of thousands of them who memorize it letter for letter (there are Muslims who memorize it in Arabic even though they don't know Arabic). Most Muslims you will meet break some of these prohibitions but they admit it and call themselves (3asi - commits mistakes) but never deny Gods orders. Many will argue against some of the orders (like the women hijab -- veil or Prohibition of music, ...) or ask about "the wisdom" of these orders; but Islam means submission and accepting that God knows better. I am not trying to scare you as you are not expected to follow everything right away (there is a saying by the messenger PBUH that asks Muslims to go into this religion slowly lest you become like the man who kept pushing his camel further until it broke and he neither reached his destination nor kept his camel).
I told you that people like yourself who go to great effort to find Islam are more like the earliest Muslims than to a person like myself who inherited Islam from his parents. I was raised on Islam and was a practicing Muslim until I got to my twenties where I started reading books by Western philosophers and turned to atheism and lost my faith. Maybe like the verse in the Quran (Muhammad:38) God is replacing us with better Muslims.
When I came to live in the west I realized my mistake and the beauty of what I lost: what Muslims call the sweetness of Eeman - faith (maybe versus the bitterness of reason :)) and I am back. My days now are like those when I was young, not only prayer and fasting but in everything I do. The messenger PBUH taught us what to say in every event in our day so that we always remember God: when we wake up and when we sleep, when we eat and finish eating, when we lay in bed, when we enter the toilet and leave it, when we get into the car, how to greet someone, how to thank someone who invites us to food,.... he taught us everything that builds a character.
I could write a book but I have to stop. So my advice to you is that if you wish to continue the journey that you not get into arguments with other religious or non-religious people and learn - that's one of God orders to us.

Salaam alaykum little brother, I took the step 33 years ago. I came from a strong Irish Catholic background.. my family didn't take it well. After four years I went to Egypt and stayed for twenty years studying. Now I teach Quran and Arabic in both Boston and Florida.
As you, years ago my dad went to seminary to become a Maryknoll missionary to the heathens in Africa..yet Allah had another plan..he would drop out after 3 years, marry, have 8 kids, and his oldest child..me..would one day go to Africa, Egypt, to study and return to teach Islam to the Americans. I won't call the heathens, as they don't know the truth..correct dawa has not reached them.

According to my mental capacity one of the reason Allah blessed you with Islam is that you had a great heart, you were a well wisher, you wanted to convert people to christianity because you cared about them, but indeed you didn't know that you yourself was on the wrong path but maybe Allah loved your intention and guided you to the straight path, and Allah knows best.
