  • At Last I got my hands on the new Ventis 2025 Wing. What a smooth lovely powerful light wind machine. I also believe it has ocean potential. This is quick review and will post another down the waterway:) Many thx for connecting digitally and you guys will love this wing for gusty wind in rivers, lakes and seas exploration and touring. Fantastic from 8 knots upwards. My weight is 88 Kgs and I used a 2450 Naish Foil in the 8-knots region and the Naish1800 HA foil when I got to 20 knots (Things got racy fast) with the new 2025 Sky Style 85L which Bev will use. Much love from us and thx again . Guest Stars Jaco and Shane thx again.

Looks like the wing to have, would be interesting to compare vs the Dlab version of how much more increase in performance is gained

@venomguysydney - Hi great great comment ..look it will be lighter and stiffer (is stiffer a good thing or bad thing for pump i am not sure?) I think that would be the perfect light wind wing the dlab - honestly that would be pure gold heavenly - but i cant afford that one, but wow it would be impressive the dlab... keep us posted if you ever get on it warm regards to auz

How tall are you ? I would have thought rider height and arm reach could be an issue for some...(wing tips catching). Beautiful looking sail 🤗

@@cyanwingfoil-kite-dive-travels Hi guys, whole idea of the more compact shape/longer strut/boom and reduced span, is that smaller riders can also cope with the wing/less skilled riders who have not yet mastered the pumping technique - and at the same time a great light wind machine for more experienced riders. Nice review, greetings to everyone at MAC/Cpt, Craig ps got to get Jaco on the wing...:-)

@@duotone.wingfoiling At 5'8 and 69kg on a 80 ltr board. If I paired with a larger span light wind foil..do you think the smaller Unit 6m dlab would be suffice to get up in 8 - 10 mph ? or is there a point where you just need a 7m ?

@@luksterp6049 hi there, depends a bit on what your focus is - the Ventis is great for steady cruising/it really stays up above your head due to the more fixed frame with the 3 struts/when doing gybes or tacks, vs the Unit 6.0 or 6.5 which will come down slightly during gybes or tacks, as you go faster than the apparent wind...if you want to jump, do tricks and have a more aggressive style, then go for a Unit in 6.0 or 6.5 I'd take the 6.0 at 5'8". If you do go for a Ventis, then 7m is more than big enough for your weight. That said, you can do all the basic jumps and tricks on the Ventis too, but obviously not as agile as the Unit.

@@duotone.wingfoiling cheers that makes sense. I have a grunty 5.5m (other brand, dacron) which can get me up and flying in 12 mph but when I go to gybe, reality hits as it falls out of the sky and then i'm left taxing back as I can't pump as well in marginal wind on my weaker side. The unit dlab 6m has always appealed to me as an upgrade.

@@cyanwingfoil-kite-dive-travels 2024 was a great Wing and had an exceptional top end too - the 2025 model which I personally had the chance to do final testing on in the Gorge last year, has an even better low end, meaning you can push that light wind envelope even further = more time up on the foil! cheers, Craig
