Hi there, my name is Henry Tenby and I’m the creator of the JetFlix TV, the aviation streaming service. I was very recently in Vietnam where I had the great pleasure visiting the Vietnam Air Force Museum in City Center, Hanoi. Actually, I had no idea this museum even existed until a quick Google search while riding in a Hanoi taxi revealed its existence. This is a massive museum. The museum provides very extensive displays both inside and outside, charting the role of aviation in the Vietnam war, and is a must visit location for any aviation fan visiting Hanoi. I hope you enjoy the video and look forward to your comments. If you’re not already a subscriber to my channel, please do consider subscribing .

Looks like they have a mix of museum and residential housing on the same property! That is kind of cool how you can park around the helicopters! All these museum pieces are a reminder that War is Hell!

Yes, they’ve been built a bunch of residential buildings all around this former airbase in central Hanoi. It is hard to believe that it once was an active airbase.

Nicely done museum. I only saw a few pictures of it before. That F-4 is a navy one, the insignias were on the intakes and large, the AF ones were down on the waist. Don't know where the build plate is on it, would be neat to know which one it is. Neat also to see the mix of old and young people there. I wonder if that one guy with I presume his dad or granddad was in the war. Neat to see the mother and her little kid to. Hard to believe that the once base is now just an inner city block. Also hard to believe this was just over fifty years ago. That Mi-6 Helo is huge, I had couple of old Russian 1/100 models of one and didn't put it into perspective as to the size. I bet it could run along with a few of the planes.

I really enjoyed finding this museum although I only had about 35 minutes to see it during my visit before it closed … but it was a case of now or never for me. And I was able to document it for everybody to see. Yes, that massive helicopter is is unbelievably huge. It’s like the size of a C130 Hercules. Or so it seems.
