My Father started raising Angus Cattle in the 1940s, and kept only Angus for the rest of his life. When I left home it was years before I could eat "Restaurant Steak". We fed and butchered our Angus, and that's all I had ever eaten. I didn't know how good we had it on the farm

What an interesting piece of history! Thank you for uploading this. My grandpa raised black Angus on his farm and it was nice to learn something about that breed.

Interesting, but it would have been great to see photos of Angus cattle in Scotland, and early imports, and then through the years.

Don't think the RAMS ( male sheep)mentioned early in the video did much mating with his Longhorn cattle !

Very interesting, I never knew that the Angus breed was descended from mixing with Texas Longhorn cows which would certainly have added hybrid vigor enabling them to withstand harsh prairie winters.

Premier Longhorns no, pure genetics where imported after the four bulls. first bulls made f1 cows

Yessir I agree with you 100% but that is a weak breed gets sick easily high maintenance I recommend mixing it with some texas longhorn to make it easily adaptable and stronger to bacteria, viruses, and diseases
