Hadith
"حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَهُوَ يَنْقُلُ التُّرَابَ حَتَّى وَارَى التُّرَابُ شَعَرَ صَدْرِهِ، وَكَانَ رَجُلاً كَثِيرَ الشَّعَرِ وَهْوَ يَرْتَجِزُ بِرَجَزِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ لَوْلاَ أَنْتَ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا وَلاَ تَصَدَّقْنَا وَلاَ صَلَّيْنَا فَأَنْزِلَنْ سَكِينَةً عَلَيْنَا وَثَبِّتِ الأَقْدَامَ إِنْ لاَقَيْنَا إِنَّ الأَعْدَاءَ قَدْ بَغَوْا عَلَيْنَا إِذَا أَرَادُوا فِتْنَةً أَبَيْنَا يَرْفَعُ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ."
Narrated Al-Bara:
I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) on the day (of the battle) of the Trench carrying earth till the hair of his chest were covered with dust and he was a hairy man. He was reciting the following verses of `Abdullah (bin Rawaha): "O Allah, were it not for You, We would not have been guided, Nor would we have given in charity, nor prayed. So, bestow on us calmness, and when we meet the enemy. Then make our feet firm, for indeed, Yet if they want to put us in affliction, (i.e. want to fight against us) we would not (flee but withstand them)." The Prophet (ﷺ) used to raise his voice while reciting these verses. (See Hadith No. 432, Vol. 5).

Our Prophet (ﷺ) said:
A strong believer is better and is more lovable to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in everyone, (but) cherish that which gives you benefit (in the Hereafter) and seek help from Allah and do not lose heart, and if anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, don't say: If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: Allah did that what He had ordained to do and your" if" opens the (gate) for the Satan.

Do you know the Arabic word used here for strong and how it was used among Arabs in a sentence.... Do you know how sahaba who narrated this hadith understood these same kindss of words of prophet and how they make sense. You are making assumption and limiting a word without any existence of a context. Why can't we say both are possible or why we can say both are possible or is it "what I feel" without logic.
Just imagine the choosen ones.... the sahaba...fighting for Allah (swt) and guided by rasulullah ( sws )....such a oppurtunity....the heroes of Islam... the choosen ones ..and then... theres me... :(

This nasheed poem by Salamah ibn Al-akwa'a Al-Aslami(RA) during the battle of Khaybar which was the most intense and Muslims were on verge of extinction, he chanted the poem improvisingly and Sahaba followed suit. Source: Kitab Al-Maghazi by Ibn Umar Alwaqidi

This Arjuzah was chanted by the Prophet while they were digging the trench around the city in the Battle of the Trench / It is for the companion Abdullah bin Rawaha Al-Ansari, may God be pleased with him, and he was martyred and killed in the battle of Mu’tah against the Romans

فاغفر فداءًا لك ما اتقينا

So (O Allah), please send Sakina (i.e. calmness) upon us, and make our feet firm if we meet the enemy as the enemy have rebelled against us, and if they intended affliction, (i.e. want to frighten us and fight against us then we would not flee but withstand them)." The Prophet (ﷺ) used to raise his voice saying, "Abaina! Abaina! (i.e. would not, we would not).

These words are also very beautiful and sound almost like a du3a..this poem/ chant is the only reason I will recite poetry..(Qur'an nr 1 and these poems in free time or when motivation needed 👊)

لَمَّا كانَ يَوْمُ الأحْزَابِ، وخَنْدَقَ رَسولُ اللَّهِ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ، رَأَيْتُهُ يَنْقُلُ مِن تُرَابِ الخَنْدَقِ، حتَّى وارَى عَنِّي الغُبَارُ جِلْدَةَ بَطْنِهِ، وكانَ كَثِيرَ الشَّعَرِ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَرْتَجِزُ بكَلِمَاتِ ابْنِ رَوَاحَةَ وهو يَنْقُلُ مِنَ التُّرَابِ يقولُ: اللَّهُمَّ لَوْلَا أنْتَ ما اهْتَدَيْنَا ... ولَا تَصَدَّقْنَا ولَا صَلَّيْنَا فَأَنْزِلَنْ سَكِينَةً عَلَيْنَا ... وثَبِّتِ الأقْدَامَ إنْ لَاقَيْنَا إنَّ الأُلَى قدْ بَغَوْا عَلَيْنَا ... وإنْ أرَادُوا فِتْنَةً أبيْنَا قَالَ: ثُمَّ يَمُدُّ صَوْتَهُ بآخِرِهَا.

I was obsessed with a certain college major although I got high marks because on that year they took half as much people as they take normally but Alhamdullillah I found that the different major I got into was very interesting for me and has many chances.
Leave it to Allah brother and Allah will certainly grant what is best for you.
Many muslims these days don't understand the main difference between us and the sahaba (radhiAllahu anhum). The difference is, that the sahaba didn't practice islam just to feel good or feel peace, but mainly to serve and obey Allah (subhanahu wa ta3ala) and His messenger (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) and the religion without compromises and at all costs, be ut with their wealth, strength, health or life.
This is cleansing to the soul.
The prophet used to replay اللهم لا عيش إلا عيش الآخرة فأغفر المهاجرين الأنصار

Our Prophet (Sallahualaihiwassalam) was gifter the best people in the entire universe and they were only like this only because Allah willed that they will never be misguided Wallahi i love every bit of our beloved Prophet along with every single of his Sahaba's i just always feel a different vibe from them like this is not roman or jew these are the people who used be literal idol worshippers for quite a bit of time but they accepted our prophet after just a few years and Allah was also pleased with them were there any people who Allah said specifically pleased wsith them? No i can never thank Allah enough just for this religion we got through our Prophet and Salaf from Generation to Generation now Wallahi they were the best people in the universe no doubt😭
If i heard this in a war i’m gonna be throwing hands, cuz it give me so much power and energy, realizing that the prophet ( SAAW) and his companions used to sing this in war 😭😫⚔️

Why is it that we are so different from those people? Why are we so weak? Why are we scattered in sects and nations and casts and groups?
We have been indoctrinated with anti islam ideologies like liberalism
Because the British empire could split us into nations and people started to believe in the concept of patriotism, while the truth is we should be loyal to Islam only, every Muslim is our brother and every islamic land is our home that we must protect.
We have to learn more science not to rely on anyone else.
Our leaders must stop obeying and focus on their people and countries alone.
Having a Sheikh in a spiritual madhab (Naqshbandi, qadiri, chestya, sorvadia)
(Naqshbandi is closest to Sahaba. Just come in front murshid and look with sinceres then murshid will do the rest)
(Ottoman Empire and the Islamic history is a witness to the clinical role of giving ba’iah (allegiance) to a Sheikh who actually has obtained the Ihsan through his Sheikh and this chain keeps going til the beginning with the Ultimate Sheikh: Rasulullah ﷺ.

The lyrics are far more powerful than the translation, especially those lines about the enemies calling, it degrades them. Finding equivalent to Arabic words is difficult but, if possible, sometimes it's just hard to put together in a sentence, it could confuse a non-speaker so, imagine The Sahabas' level of fearlessness and faith.... How it charged them. All thanks to Allah. This was beautiful but, The Sahabas most likely had stronger, firmer, much beautiful voices. God bless.
