So epic to see a good video on a 6 rotor! Makes me want to work on mine!!
haha course you're here!
hes your japanese counterpart lol, has the same crazy look
Would you ever import a cosmo to the USA and do something radical like this?
Was waiting for you to arrive 😁
I knew I'd find you here
I doubt even Mazda themselves would've thought people would be this obsessively dedicated to the rotary platform. It's absolutely awesome
Thats why they re opened the rotary engine factory
Nah they knew, those mfs smart
Maybe in the 1970s they didn't. But by the 90s, they knew.
Facts, some countries have adapted the engine as a cultural staple. (NZ/PR/AUS)
There have been rumors that mazda is developing a hybrid rotary engine.
Gotta love how the show car gets squeezed into the lot outside just like everything else.
Like a true project car.
if he doesnt say the word "today" 10 times in the first 2 minutes of every video he posts... is it even noriyaro?

This man has such a rare and huge collection and is making unique stuff like its nothing. What a legend.
This dude is like the Smokey Nagata of rotary engine
Was thinking the same
thas what i was thinkin
Exactly what I thought.
That's a lot of Doritos. This is arguably the Coolest Ranch™
😂😂😂
Certified Cool Ranch™ Classic
dad?
It's hard to even comprehend the amount of knowledge someone who has been racing rotaries for god knows how long has. He has MAZDASPEED parts that were bought NEW, under the table? Absolutely incredible, what an awesome shop. Rob Dahm would abosolutely lose his mind just walking around in there lmfao.
Thanks for documenting this in some way.
I would hahah
Anyone would
I love shops and guys like this, just an insane amount of knowledge of one platform, could listen to him talk about rotaries for hours without getting bored. His shop just looks incredible too, endless amounts of historic and really interesting parts.
Yeah those Mazda Speed PP housings are like the stuff of legends, god I would love to hear the full story of those.
I think Alexi didn't mention his name, but that man seems like such a cool person,,, not only his shop and dedication to the rotary platform is awesome but his history with racing is really cool too
12:02 Mr. Kato I think
@@syedsyclone6827 You sure Kato isn't the car owner?
@@Megalomaniakaal idk
I think it’s best to keep his name quite. I’m sure someone would love to find his shop and take parts
@@Porsche4life just said the shop name tho
That's the type of shop you want to take your car to, someone with a true passion, not just a business.
Absolutely rad the dedication to one platform.
It’s very Japanese isn’t it?
I wish i had a rotary
In a scene dominated by turbos these days this dude is casually running carb on engines only previously seen built by specialty factory teams. also happens to be a stock car champion. this dude is cracked
U can turbo carbs just can't have itb's tho I'm sure it's possible even then just alot of money
You know it's a good night when noriyaro uploads.
Damn straight
It's that magical feeling of an elder Japanese man explaining his awesome build.
I love it.
When your engine capacity becomes an equation
I love all the history, his pictures of him racing and still having the car. Gawd that's so cool. And the genuine cluttered shop. I love it. All the hidden Jem's. Also, it's so cool that the owner was more than happy to share it all with us around the world
So cool, eh
You would never realised the owner of some workshop you drive past everyday in Japan would be a legendary racer in the 90s. So cool to see old cars are still cared for this much.
Super hyped you’ve actually gone to meet him
wow, what an awesome guy. i've been loosely following the 6 rotor cosmo since i saw it posted on twitter a while ago. old school shop owners like this always have the most amazing history and stories. would love to see more old shop content!
The second half of the video was like going through an old cherished toy chest, just 1:1 scale instead
We need a Netflix documentary where this guy just goes through his whole workshop and just talks about all his stuff. This was definitely super interesting to watch! Thanks for sharing Alexi
Even though I'm just here to watch cars go vroom & literally don't get any of the jargon this is still highly entertaining and interesting.
This dude literally won a bunch of races but keeps all his trophies in a dim corner of his workshop, he's got parts he bought brand new probably straight from some factory rep back in the day and he builds custom parts for a very specific type of engine.
Dude has world class experience and knowhow and yet his place is just a small, cramped and dingy workshop that looks like nothing special when you drive by.
His shop and collection is awesome, the guy really love rotaries
That's a lot of rotarys. The owner looks like a cool humble guy
I genuinely loved this video. My first car was a 10th AE FC, my second car was a 1990 GXL FC and my third car was a 1989 GX with a turbo swap. Out of all of them the second car was by far the best. It was a full package GXL with electric adjustable dampers and every single piece of electronics on that car worked. It had Desmond Promoda ZR-1s in 17x8 +35 and an Abarth 3 spoke wheel from an 1965 Abarth 1600 OT. I miss that car every day. I've been searching for an FC similar to it for close to 10 years. I found a couple but they sold before I could go see them. Maybe one day I'll buy a new FC to make memories with.
Thanks for the video Alexi, you gave me some pure, unrefined nostalgia tapped directly into my veins.
My first car was a 85 red fb
Second 86s4 turbo 2 Fc
4th 04 grey rx8
I miss driving in my mazdas
@@JB-sv5pr they're just so good. They really are drivers cars. Now I have a 2017 WRX and a 1994 Miata. The WRX is nice and modern but the NA is just totally different. You point it in a direction and it goes there.
Best part about your channel unlike most automotive CZcamsrs is you give us a look at small shops like this, spotlighting humble guys that we otherwise would have never known about instead of just being about yourself buying crazy cars and crazy parts. Best channel hands down.
The Japanese never cease to amaze, 2 rotors? 3? How about 6. Wow
6 is not new. Some Kiwis or Aussies did it long time ago. That beast can't be idle without moving.
Yeah NZ built a 6 rotor rx4 about a decade ago
PPRE 6 rotor RX4, that was huge buzz back then.
I love how Ausies and NZ love rotaries. We dont have much of these in Europe :(
@@SuperMatiz I remember a sweet gunmetal grey rx-7 from UK some years ago it was so delightful how it was built.
this IS what real car culture is. Cramped over crowded work shop with rare gems all over the place and you could spend literally days in looking at everything. Real genuine people that love a chat.
Man I love this stuff
God the Cosmo was such an insane car. 6 rotors is gonna be crazy!!! Looking forward to it!

That engine is so clean can't wait for it to hear it.
there’s already a 6 rotor that’s been around for years
This is a rotary heaven garage!!!! Really cool old school expertise. 👌
An excellent visit to a Japanse rotary, Aladdin's cave. Thank you very much for this vintage racing treasure trove video. Awesome it still exists✌
Man this is so cool.
I need to learn more about engines and whatnot so I can truly appreciate it!
What a cool visit, thanks Alexi! ✨🙌🏻✨
This dude looks like a mad scientist for rotaries and I love it
I know A-RF from Kaido Battle 2. Nice to see the shop is still runing to this day!
7:52 wow I didn´t know weber carburetors were made in Spain, the country I´m from! nice! As always this videos are so interesting to watch, keep going!
Alexi, I love when you do visits like this. It feels just like being there because of how casual it is.
Also, that guy has a sick collection. I still cannot get over how LONG that 6 rotor is!
I love it! Crazy seeing all those cars from his racing history, what a life!
i know this is cringe but seeing someone this passionate about something so cool gets me really emotional
nah it isnt cringe its just heartwarming to see
An inside look in a shop like this and all it's treasures is priceless to me! amazing video
Ohhh yesss!
This is gold! I love this kind of videos. Lots of history culture and crazy characters.
Thanks Alexi to take the time and effort to capture all this!
I would never get bored working in a shop like this!!
I can only imagine what those factory peripheral ported blocks are worth nowadays. Insane shop and such an amazing collection of cars.
Keep bringing this stuff to us Alexi. 👌🏻
Brilliant episode! I love these old school shops like this in Japan and he's a mad scientist :)
No wonder he was able to get his hands on those factory peripheral port housings this man is a racing legend
I love seeing this kind of stuff. You can really see the love they have for these cars. Effortlessly explaining everything.
thanks alexi, i love seeing these smaller shops and all the cool stuff they have available to show off
Nice vlog. So many awesome cars. Hopefully we can see that awesome engine running. Keep up the good work.
Noriyaros posts are about the only thing that makes mehappy nowadays, thank you Alexi.
More content with this shop and owner, please! ROTARY POWAH
love these videos where u show us japanese workshops!, ty for the subtitles, greegs from chile :)!
i love watching your car content noriyaro
Amazing video, Alexi. That Weber carburetor that came all the way from Spain to that shop completely blew my mind 🤯
BROOO another 6 rotor! I can't wait to hear these things scream
what a sick shop run by a super nice legend
I love the crazy mad looking car people. You just know they have lots of knowledge and willing to share IF you aren't pushy or act like a idiot.
I can feel Rob Dahms heart palpatating from here!
Thank you both for taking the time to share this, amazing! Cool parts, awesome history, great guy!
i could spend days in this dudes shop. these are my favorite kind of people.
Something that made me love Japan car culture is how enthusiastic they are about their cars and how they are so open to their builds, they will show you every inch of their car and arent afraid of someone copying it most open to that and are open to new comers, just seeing how much he enjoyed showing his stuff off made me laugh(In a good way)
I love the life long dedication to his favorite brand and and engine! You can feel the passion through the screen this guy has for these cars!!! Great video!!!
You can tell he’s next level, his Rev counter goes up to 11….
And its still not enough.
Takumi is smiling lol
My God that rx2 is beautiful.
Ive got to say, its nice to see a Noriyaro video when i get home from work
When hoarding and a mechanic genius actually synergies together
It's so crazy what you can find in a shop that's totally unassuming from the outside. You could spend hours upon hours talking with the owner and still be amazed.
always great seeing passionate people show your their work
Noriyaro upload makes my day so much better! Thanks for the years of content :)
Ah, one of "those" Japanese workshops, beautiful stuff
Here in Florida a friend of mine has a recently restored RX-2 with a Turbo II swap making 500 WHP, he's had her for years is his pride n joy. Cant wait for it to finish being put back together and enjoy a rip in it.
omg the cosmo has been a favourite of mine for so long such an insane car
really liked this upload, can't wait for the follow up!
Glad you went and checked out his shop ! was there on the stream, cant wait for the next visit 😃
I'm so glad you went to visit this shop so soon!
What a gem of a shop with some cool history. Loved this!
Awesome place, I went there once to pick up some housings when I worked at Modify.
Hey, Benny
I really love how it feels like very shop you go to has a history of racing and an awesome story to go with it.
Thank you and the owner so much for sharing this information! That shop is like a rotary temple!
Absolutely loved this vid. So good to see inside shops like this, and seeing all the little nuggets of goodness. Getting a bit of the technical stuff was really cool to. I was totally captivated. Keep up the great vids Alexi, you're the best 👍
15:30 I cried . . . I had a 1972 RX-2 when I lived in South Gate . . . Southern California.🙈🤭😖
Perfection and chaos go hand in hand! If you spend more time cleaning up than building fast cars, one could argue your main passion would be cleaning! Thats why THOSE shops are rad!
This was brilliant! 👏
Alexi,
Thank you for showing us wonderful rare content like this. This man is a Rotary lengend. Absolute boss! Mazda ❤️!
Holy shit, it looks like this guy has so much history and passion that it just makes me wanna hear him go through the whole shop explaining what it is, even the parts laying around
Really enjoyed this video, I love seeing cluttered shops like this because honestly if I had a shop it would be the same way 😅
love these shops that just do one thing religiously. they usually know their cars quite well. excited to see the cosmo again soon
Awesome Alexi .can't wait to see the cosmo running
projects like this are absolutely glorious to see thanks for sharing
Fantastic shop. Crazy builds
Wow this is incredible. So glad this was documented.
That coolant solution is undoubtedly a horror story but at least it will keep you warm in the winter!
Finding shops like these is like finding lore in video games
When mechanical insanity and art meet :D
that suppressed AR was looking just as sexy as those carburettors. mans got all the toys
Had a really stressful day at work, really glad I can round the day off with some Alexi goodness!
this particular video is amazing
