i live where he does (in british columbia) and the snow storm really isn’t that cold. If you live in northwest territories then it would be freezing. All you need is 1 layer of clothes, jacket, snow pants and a toque 😅

@@zackablanc if you have headphones in/listen closely you can hear something clacking on the mic & it sounds like gunshots in the distance.
This is how they did it in the old days - like pioneers. Maple sugaring time was what they called the time of year when they drilled little taps into maple trees to collect the syrup. They’d make candy with some of it by heating the syrup and sugar to hard crack candy stage. They filled pans with freshly fallen snow and drizzled the hot syrup to make designs in the snow. It would harden (which modern maple syrup doesn’t do bc of additives to keep it from crystallizing in the container).

It’s not as dirty as you’re making it sound. I think you’d only get sick from eating visually clean snow if you have a weak immune system.
When in a survival situation they do not recommend drinking dirty water but it is recommended melting fresh fallen snow in a canteen and drinking it. This is because snow may not be the purest shit ever but neither your tap water. Those pipes will be covered in limescale on the inside which spoiler alert is bacteria. None of our water is pure that’s why we have an immune system
