Definitely hear you on that level. Had a mini rave & a skank out @ work myself when I saw the news on FB. The customers who's yard I was working at were fairly straight laced couple tbh. We're younger than me late 20's just hit 30 at the most. Was slightly taken back when she asked me what kind of music was it,especially nowadays, back in the day wouldn't of surprised me. She actually liked /appreciated the tunes but as she couldn't understand Skibbadee's MCing she deferred to pass judgement. Once I explained why I was playing it they were cool,let me crack on with it even asked me to turn it up a few notches. Made the moment that bit more special introducing DnB to virgin ears...QUALITY...RESPECT TO SKIBBS

I was in primary school listening to kool fm, that was the best days for me as far as pirate Radio an underground music, I use to be Jealous that I was too young to go to the kool skool Raves an my older friends that was 16-17 had the tape packs of telepathy hysteria, an were going to the Raves, an they use to diss me for recording off Radio while they had the same tunes but live in a Rave (crystal clear), if you never had it in a (tape packet) it was considered as cheating or cheap.

I’m 29 years old and from about 11/12 I was banging dnb sets as loud as my homemade sound system would let me…as I hit legal age all my friends shifted to house music, I kind of followed suit and my love for dnb was left on the back burner until finding out the passing of Skiba! In the early days people used to go mental and all become one I’m talking electric and such a powerful vibe just take a look at a video of the roller express elevation with stevie hyper d from 93 and see the difference, now days people just stand there nobody having it , I guess this kind of thing can’t be replicated!

MC Skibba was the greatest higher rapper I ever saw and heard, I love alsorts of music, I discovered skibba in 2000 ish, best musician with his voice, such a shame he’s gone however I feel privileged to have heard the higher rapper!! There’s kids 20 years younger than me listening to skibbadee the higher rapper, says it all really, best mc rapper I’ve ever heard in my life, no other mc is half of him, I’m blessed to have seen him live

Yes bro me and my husband was all over the jungle scene, went everywhere, thinking now how the fuck we got home driving in some proper states!! 🤯🤪🤪, we lived just a few mile from the sanctuary so that was like a second home, world dance was a must!! Then the rude boy places like labrynth, rollers and awol!! So many good memories ov meeting people, getting smashed, going to after party’s with people ya just met,service stations on the way home full ov ravers ‘lost’ in there minds. Fucking great times
