If you want a Barbie movie with surprisingly dark implications and the most horrifying soul-devouring elephant you’ve ever seen, I highly recommend my personal favorite movie: Barbie as the Island Princess
yes!! please do this one next alex 🙏🙏🙏
I love that movie, but my favorite was always princess charm school.
Yes charm school was dark aswell because the parents of Barbie were killed in a set up car accident
Yes please!!
Oh I thought you were gonna say magic of the Pegasus,
The darkest thing about the villain to me was not just that she was poisoning her cousin, but that she kept him and the girls apart by convincing each one that the other didn’t want to see them. Gaslight gatekeep girlboss.
Gaslighting and manipulation on another level fr😂. I realized that mid way thru this video lmao.
Now where do i recognise those three g’s from...
@Karen Bailey I think I heard them from Alice Capelle 😆
😳😳😳
More like: Gaslight Gateboss Girlkeep
You need to do Barbie as Rapunzel. It's a masterpiece... the ferret guy is just really... something else 😂
He just ✨moans✨ all the time
oooo give him to mee, uuughh
Literally when he commented on the parrots accent I was like, wait until you see the horny ferret
OMG YES!!! "give him to me.."
its very important to me that you know that there are actually TWO types of barbie movies that exist in the BCU.
one is where barbie is just barbie, and her name is barbie and its either about her, or she’s telling a story where she’s being imagined as the main character.
the other is like this movie and princess and the pauper, where the movie is actually a movie IN a movie and barbie is the actress playing the main character (genevive, annalise)
you can even watch the “bloopers” in the end credits
so basically barbie is super fucking meta
Actually, they changed the lore again. Now she's in highschool/college (and an influencer, which doesn't play much of a role though), and most movies play in Barbie's "real world".
@Sailor Catthe recent movies take place when she was a bit younger, before the earlier movies. Obviously
@notaseat I don't know, to me it seems like it's a whole new continuity, and not the same universe as Barbie as an actress.
And then there’s the fairytopia universe 😄
@Sailor Cat you mean the CZcamsr timeline?
It makes sense that it's canon but happens earlier. I assumed she was in her mid-late 20s in movies like Fashion Fairytale.
Guys, we need to start signing a petition for Alex to watch Barbie as the island princess, absolute masterpiece and such endearing songs. But I kinda want to hear Alex's goofy laugh over Tikka's darkest plan lmao.
The biggest twist villain ever
Oh that horrifying elephant with the most human like eye ever possible?
@Silver Twist that exact one lol
I'm surprised that most of the comments are ignoring the most non-Barbie Barbie movie ever: Barbie Diaries. Every character, the animation, the plot, the lack of logic... It's the masterpiece we're sleeping on you guys.
That whole movie is a fever dream meme. “Who cares if She’s exciting fresh and fun?” “Please, she sounds like a deodorant” iconic
JUST TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT, I DO WASH MY CLOTHES
soo kinda like throwing a hotdog down a tunnel by now
I just got "EvErYoNe HaS gOt A sEcReT sIdE" out of my head and here you go bringing it back.
I will never forget when some guy sent her on an errand and she sighs and goes "I hate my life" 💀 I remember saying that a lot and my mom would scold me for saying it 💀 💀 such a masterpiece of a show
the animation of early barbie movies is low key terrifying, and i’m surprised 5 year old me never noticed lmao
I didn't notice and I'm still not scared
I know, when I was little I was convinced these films were better than disney 😂
I think they were good looking for the time. But since 3D animation has gotten way better since then, the animations looks really outdated as a result.
@00F yeah like those weird winx club movies 😂😂❤
I think it helped that tv quality itself wasn’t that good back then, barbie movies were not meant to be watched in hd
I actually think the fan at the end is clever writing, cause she uses the thing against Rowena, that Rowena used to oppress her earlier - the thing, the princesses were laughed at, because they couldn't do it. The whole movie celebrates individuality. Rowena tried to take individuality away from them, making them all look and do the same, but in the end, they use their unique skills to fight back.
This deserves more likes.
I agree! It was pretty genius! 🙂
No matter how terrible the old barbie movies would be, they will always have a place in my heart
They weren't terrible tho. They mostly had a lot of plot holes but they were entertaining.
Yes❤️
Yess! They were not terrible to me tho. I'll always prefer them over the new ones
Same💗
Fun fact: The reason why Preminger and the royal maid guy or whatever look alike is that they are all actors. You can even see bloopers of them in their normal selves in Barbie Princess and the Pauper.
Barbie lore enjoyer
I absolutely lost it when she started to fan the magic dust away 💀
Barbie: Mermadia was literally my entire childhood. My family still quotes it all the time. Definitely worth a watch
The immunity BERRY!
Lefting, Leftaroooooo
Loved that movie so much and also quote it all the time
Lefting and Leftaroooo is iconic to my entire family 😂
Anything with Bibble in it has my vote.
my sister and i quote the scene where they swim in circles all the time when we're driving somewhere
One of the sisters in this movie has the same voice actor as Nori from that movie!!
the barbie movies will forever hold a place in my heart. even if that place shrinks every minute.
Don’t want to be that guy but, “270 likes no replies? gOtTa FiX tHaT!!!”
Me fr
And it eventually shrinks to the size of an amoeba
These are the type of movies I will show my future children 😂😂😂
666 erm-
13:26 the reason why they all love dancing is because their mom loved dancing, and it connects all of them to each other and to their passed mom! they are each unique in that delia and edeline like sports, courtney likes reading, blair likes horses, etc. but dancing is the one thing that brings them together :)
To be honest, Barbie has introduced me to classical music a lot. The "ballet"-style movies caused me to recognize a lot of classical pieces and now I'm playing the oboe in an advanced orchestra. The Barbie butterfly effect is real 😳
Me too! I listen to classical music all the time and it all started because I was obsessed with Barbie in the Nutcracker when I was little
Barbie movies, and baby Einstein introduced me to a lot of classics and I ended up first chair violin in night school, totally got my appreciation for classical music young
Princess Charm School is like being in a crazy fever dream. I would high recommend watching that one!
Yesssss
That movie is a vibe
Ikr
I love Portia so much omg😭
As a ballet dancer, the animation for the dancing is surprisingly good. I was expecting to see just a ton of really rigid lines and random movements, but it actually captured the fluditiy of dance and the moves were pretty accurate. (Although I will say, dancers never count past eight and her counting to twelve felt weird lol.) And I'd never seen the barbie movies before because my mom never let me have anything to do with barbie as a kid but seeing all these people get so nostalgic in the comments makes me feel like I missed a key part of my childhood.
They had a real ballet dancer do the movements to recreate them using technology
It’s mocapped
As someone who has seen 34 out of the 42 Barbie movies and is trying to finish them all before the live action one comes out, I salute you, sir.
Edit: the number has jumped to 39 (and it turns out there are 44)
Edit 2: WE DID IT GUYS!!! ALL 44 ANIMATED BARBIE MOVIES BEFORE THE LIVE ACTION ONE COMES OUT WOOOOOO
@SPRITE NADOwhere did u watch them all?
@Yara A A combo of CZcams, Netflix, and piracy
One thing I only recently learned is that the princesses’ names are in alphabetical order from oldest to youngest. Ashlyn, Blair, Courtney, Delia, Edeline, Fallon, Genevieve, Hadley, Isla, Janessa, Kathleen, and Lacey.
That would have been some serious dedication to a bit on the part of their parents
Omg I never realized that!! That's how the dad keeps all the names straight 🤣🤣🤣
Fallon? Fallon isn’t a girls name
omg how have I not realized that until now
That's my life. A-G
I just had a nostalgic tidal wave just hit me in the face when I read those names. My god, how did the dad remember which one is which?! 🤣
okay but i feel like barbie mermaidia is slept on. that was definitely my favorite growing up. bibble was absolutely hilarious 😭
Bibble was my phone screensaver through half of high school
#1 rule of a Barbie movie NEVER question anything. Just leave all logic at the door.😂
Exactly, you want to question these Barbie movies so badly but have to just watch it and don’t think.
Barbie as the Island Princess is just Barbie perfection, which is why it should be the next reaction. The animals are so derpy and creepy that it is hilarious.
😂 Alex obviously wasn't paying attention to the last barbie movie when Julian sings a whole song on how ✨To be a Princess✨
Can we all agree we need more Barbie Reviews?
I also love the implication that queen just gave birth to 12 children so she could give the 12 books that match the 12 flowers on the floor so they could reach the magical pavilion in the story
But what would she have done if one was a boy?
@Lea F time to make more then
LOL
She was dedicated 😅I'll give her that
You would absolutely LOOOOVE Barbie and the Diamond castle; this falls under the "Musical" category and for some reason the tracks are kinda catchy
"For some reason"? They're straight up bops!
They copied the songs from a mexican band called RBD. I don't know if Mattel payed rights or if they have done it again.
Barbie Rapunzel would be fun, but I think you should do The Barbie Diaries before you run out of Barbie steam. It's any highschool movies. Love triangle featuring the the mean girl's ex and the friend zoned guy? Check. A mean girl picking on the protagonist and her 2 friends? Check. A school dance? Check. The main charcters are in a band? Check. It is so extreemely on brand for your channel.
You know… Seeing this movie as a kid and now an adult, you’ve made me see things in a whole new perspective. Still an iconic movie and I’ve never laughed so hard in my life! 😂
Hey Alex, as a self proclaimed Barbie finatic who has watched all the movies hundreds of times (lol they’re my therapy), I highly recommend the Barbie diaries because you will be laughing the ENTIRE time and also Barbie mermaidia (fairytopia sequel) because it’s also genuinely really funny. They both have iconic lines like “who cares if she’s exciting, fresh, and fun?” “Please she sounds like a deodorant”, “lefting, leftaROOOOOO” and of course opera Bibble which is iconic.
I was scream-laughing with Alex when she started fanning the magic away 🤣 my mom had to check on me-
Please do Magic of the Pegasus next. The relationship between Annika and Aiden is why most people's standards are so high
Soooo underrated! My favourite barbie movie! But shivers (the fuckin annoying polar bear) grinds my gears
@zoeeenoo I love shiver. He just wants his sparkle wanddd
Growing up this was my favourite barbie movie!! I knew all the lines!
MAGIC OF THE PEGASUS WAS. MY. FUCKIIINGGG. MOVIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAH.
i feel like that relationship, compared to some of the other barbie movies, is criminally underrated. It's one of my favorites!
About media thinking all young girls want to be a princess, ballerina, or both, I can say with 100% confidence that was definitely me as a 7 year old along with wanting to be a mermaid and a fairy. 😂 I think you can tell from my username that even in my teens I still want to be one of those two things (even after experiencing what it's *actually* like.)
Also my recommendation for one of the Barbie movies to watch next is "Barbie in a Christmas Carol." Although, considering it's a Christmas movie, it's better suited to watch in November or December. I'm not sure which "generation" of Barbie movies that one is from, probably not the original generation, but I believe it's in the middle somewhere.
Edit: Never mind, it came out in 2008
I love this series so much! Thanks for the tour back down memory lane. ❤️ you should totally do island princess next. If I remember correctly the talking animal count comes in at a whopping 11+. That or barbie fairytopia which is the first in a trilogy and in my mind is THE quintessential Barbie movie.
The movies that stood out in my childhood were the Island Princess, Mariposa, the Diamond Castle, and the whole Fairytopia saga, especially the 1st and 3rd movie.
I stopped watching the Barbie movies after "Barbie of Swan Lake" -- so, really the first 3 -- due to age mostly, but watching these videos have made me laugh. Lol. I would love to see you do videos on the first 3 Barbie movies, especially "Barbie in the Nutcracker" as I did watch it recently as an adult and my goodness, my friend and I were in stitches during some scenes because of just some of the things that happened were absolutely ridiculous 😂.
Also, it has Tim Curry who voices the villain in "Barbie in the Nutcracker", so I mean, there is that.
My favorite Barbie movie was always the three musketeers and I still can’t tell you why the movie is so wild😂
According to the barbie wiki, Edaline and Delia are also twins...so the mum had two sets of twins and triplets. Damn respect for that woman 😂🙈
Queenie rocked the whole damn castle not just the bedroom
There's also that pair of tween twins that finish each other's sentences. One is blond with a blue dress, and the other was a brunette in purple.
Hadly and Isla are also twins
I'm over here who can't even walk straight after I pass out a solid poop
@Amna Javed😭😭😭😭
I loved this movie so much as a kid that I never realized how bizarre everything about it is. Even after watching this though, I still love it to bits 🤣
I've seen this movie at least a dozen in my life, and I know every song they use in it. The songs Alex used to avoid a copyright claim both disturbed me and made me laugh so hard I started weeping 😂😭
Barbie and the 12 dancing princess is actually my favourite Barbie movie. Recently, I found a CD for the movie and it just brought back soo many memories. Nostalgia 🥺 Can’t wait for the barbie movie in July ✨
If you ever run out of Barbie movies (or want something with a similar vibe but actually watchable) I'd love to see what you make of the Equestria Girls movies.
I love how Alex Meyers always includes the "I love horses!" joke in almost every video. At 4:20 . The teacher asks Samantha "What do you wanna be?" and Samantha says "I love horses!"
The aunt’s curse to dance forever is one of the most horrifying things in the Barbies. Kid me couldn’T get the idea of these two dancing until they died out of my head. And what if their corpses were forced to dance forever?
You should look up the Dancing Plague which was a real thing where people danced till they dropped
Dancing skeletons does send a powerful message
I never thought of it like that 😢😂
I’m gonna try to forget this comment so that I’ll be able to sleep at night 😂😂😂
I had to read this before bed didn't I
I dont think this should be the next Barbie Movie reaction, but when you get into the 2010s, you definitely have to do Barbie and the Pink shoes + Secret door. Two of my absolute favorites!
12 dancing princesses was prolly my of the barbie movies. I loved watching the dances and there was something very satisfying to me about learning all of the sisters' names and flowers and categories (Because I was extraordinarily young, so of course I made my parents play it on repeat)
Also the cousin Rowena being the reason that she kept the fan in the first place lol 🤣
Never laughed so much in a loooong time, thanks!
This unlocked so many core memories, also I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breath at your commentary 🤣🤣
Those airbending skills though😂😂 17:20
I love how no one ever questions that the 12 princesses look vastly different from eachother (there are blondes, brunettes, some with black and ginger hair, every eye colour from green, to brown and blue) while the father is blond and blue-eyed and the mother had ginger-brownish hair and blue eyes.... someone has some explaining to do 👀
I thought about that too
Theory: dutchess Rowena is the triplets real mother
(that's why they look so awful, because of inbreeding)
😂😂😂❤
My theory the mother has a falled gene and do to that that's why most of the girls are not red heads and since even though its still possible to have red head kids the other genes like the brunette and blond which most of people have become the dominant ones aka having a bigger chance to be a blond and a brunette
Maybe they come from the only royal families with a diverse gene pool. My mom is white with freckles, with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes, my dad is black, with brown eyes and brown hair, my older brother is very pale with very dark eyes and hair, I am blonde with green eyes and my younger sister in olive skinned with brown eyes and hair. If we count hair textures it gets even more messy lol
I'm wondering more about their ages. Most of them look the same age.
I watched this movie soo many times in my childhood!! I used to remember all the dialogues 🥺
Let me tell you, I was OBSESSED with these movies as a kid. You should definitely watch Barbie and the Diamond Castle next! That one was always my favourite haha.
I like revisiting my childhood with this guy. I can’t believe I used to think these were the greatest movies ever
Alex. Again. You’ve made me literally laugh out loud multiple times. Thank you sir.
None of them wished to see their mom again in that magical place. Instead they asked for dance partners lmao
You should definitely do “Barbie of Swan Lake”
It’s so so good but also… extremely hilarious watching it as an adult now 😂
Υesss
That one's gonna be hilarious! 😂😂
yesss that one was my fav as a child!!'
Only if you're in for another balet movie!!! One of my favs
it is!! the overdramatic unicorn...Odile 'the ✨material gworl✨'....its too good😂
The way you said Derek the cobbler at 5:59 was hilarious!!!
I really like your reviews. They are so fun to watch
Not me laughing to death with Alex at the fan bit. I was so glad he played it again 😂😂😂 I never watched these as I was a little older when they came out. I've seen like 2. So happy Alex is watching so I don't have to. 😂😂😂
I was OBSESSED with this movie when I was a kid. when my sister and I got really sick with a stomach virus, it's all we watched on loop for weeks. (which is why it now gives my mom ptsd) I even got the video game on both pc AND ps2.
If you want to review a barbie movie that has the worst animal, best songs, and the most chaotic and greatest humor of all time, Island Princess is definitely the one for you, and also because it's one of my favorites
I think you should watch every one of them and so doing them in order makes sense! It’s interesting to see the similarities and differences between all of them throughout the years. I have never felt so nostalgic and laughed so hard at the same time watching this video and the last one too! I know it will be torturous to do them all but I know you are dedicated and can do it for the laughs and views!!!
P.s. If I had to choose Barbie starlight adventure is probably my favorite but it is hard to choose! This is coming from someone who has watched all of them but the ones that have come out since 2020…I know I AM crazy 😜
Fun Fact: There was actually a Playstation 2 game based off this movie. As Genevieve, you have to find her 11 sisters in the magic realm. You play a bunch of mini games and have to match the gemstones to the right princess. After you find each Princess, you get to choreograph a dance for each, but not a pretty ballet dance. It was more like a bad TikTok dance.
That one was also available on computer, i loved it! 😅
I had that game and I LOVED it so bad😂
I was obsessed with that game as a kid 😭😭💕
Man, I missed out on that.
There was one for the Game Boy Advance, too. You played as Barbie, and used objects from the sisters’ hobbies to pass obstacles.
You should do princess charm school, it’s so funny, has great songs, is iconic, and has some dark aspects for a Barbie movie. It’s fantastic
If you wanna do a Barbie movie during the Christmas season, definitely do Barbie and the Nutcracker. This is the first of all the Barbie movies and done in early 2000's 3D so . . . it makes Reboot look like the freaking Mona Lisa in quality.
Ok, I'm not going to lie, I didn't want to watch this particular video because this is easily one of my favourite Barbie movies of all time and I didn't want Alex to come for my childhood 😓 But I'm so glad I decided to put on my big girl panties and watch this because I laughed so freaking much! Definitely one of my favourite videos from him! 👏🏾
barbie pegasus was a masterpiece in my personal opinion the DVD version even had bloopers at the end
This one is my favorite one because it was the first one I saw, but it took me a while to notice how horrible Rowena's fate actually is:
Imagine being betrayed by your own body, so that you never stop dancing, even if you are exausted, and if anybody wants to help you they will suffer the same fate, meaning that you will eventually be ignored and maybe excluded from society... if they don't mercy kill you first, but who knows if the squeleton will be continuing dancing...
By the way, if you want to see something hilarious, search the game version of this movie. It's extremely bad!
My favorite Barbie movie has got to be Princess Charm School. It is a newer type of Barbie movie but still about as unhinged as the old ones. It's literally about a girl being abandoned as a newborn and coincidentally joining a princess school where girls learn to...ya know, be princesses. It is absolutely incredible. Please review it!
I never watched the newer gen ones but I might just have to check this one out!!
Bro this movie is amazing istg
This one is so good!
That movie was my childhood
and the foundation somehow floating across the whole room AND staying in the air long enough for everyone to parkour across AND the girl being able to do whatever the heck she did just by looking at the lasers for a few seconds :DDDD
This was the first english movie I saw, it really sparked an interest to learn the language for me. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
100% that fight was the best. Not because of the animation but because it reinforces a protagonist winning a fight based on their own smarts rather than suddenly becoming a master of combat.
Me and my sister loved the movie back then ... We thought the opening a portal with a dance choreography was the coolest thing... I remember loving the secret island back then ... Felt so real and magical... I don't know 😅
This video made me remember the first trans barbie I had growing up lollll
I had the barbie doll of Blair from this movie, and I remember that because she was the one with black hair. Well, I had all blonde, female barbies, and because I didn't know what lesbians were yet, I was like "well how the hell are we going to get some romance going without a Ken doll!" So I decided that, being the only non-blonde barbie I had, Blair (who at the time I had named Isabel), had to be the most masculine because she had dark hair. So I dressed her in a t-shirt and pants and barbie boots and decided she was now "derek" and she was the main male love interest for a very long time in my barbie community before I finally got my hands on a real ken doll. The interesting thing is that after I got the ken doll, I was like "alright derek, you're off duty now, you can go back to being isabel" but I had become so used to seeing this barbie as a man that it didn't really feel right just slapping a dress on her and making her a girl again, so she just kind of chilled in my barbie box for the next several years. I gave all my barbies away to a family friend's kid so hopefully Blair/Isabel/Derek is living their best life right now.
As someone who had a literal DRAW-FULL of barbie movies, I highly recommend: Barbie& Her Sisters in a Pony Tale
The idea of sharing a room with all your siblings of varying ages, and one of which collects bugs is nightmare fuel.
The making of this movie is interesting, though, how they captured the ballerinas dancing
For all the barbie movies they used rotoscope to capture the dancing
I love that Alex is surprised that something from 2006 had a budget smaller than the cost of a Happy Meal
The best part is that the animation is better than some modern animation and basically all AAA videogames at the time. The characters don't just move one arm or their head, their whole body moves, it looks natural, dynamic. They did so good for what was basically kinda cheap kids movies that frequently got squashed in the press. They did A LOT of Mocap for these.
Petition for Alex to see the oldest and the only 2d Barbie "movie" ever made (i think): Barbie and the rockers (1987). It certainly gives u an out of body experience, specially during the scenes where Barbie is trying to find a dress for the gala 🤭
You decidedly did make my day better! Thank you! I think you'll enjoy Barbie & the Magic of Pegasus best, but I honestly wonder if you shouldn't save it for last. I know you can guarantee I'll be watching every one of your Barbie videos either way! Also, I definitely recommend the original three and the Fairytopia series, but in honest, it wasn't until - let me look it up... late 2008 that I even started getting disappointed by a title from time to time. Oh! And you should definitely watch The Barbie Diaries from 2006! It's hilarious! Unintentionally bizarre, a strange time capsule, and an early 3D animated high school drama!
Princess Charm School and Barbie Island Princess are definitely some of my faves.
What's important when watching barbie movies is recognizing how insane the plot and stupid decisions are, but loving the magic and the cheap jokes anyway.
the early 2000s movies are worth watching because they're batshit insane, but we love them because they were fun
Who is we?
@Cordelia Wagnermany people why?
@Joe Bro is upset he is not part of we
The only one I watched as a kid was Barbie in the Nutcracker(the rest were a bit past my time ), but my sister and watched that movie constantly, especially when we first got it. I’d love your take on that one .
The Nutcracker! Please do Barbie in the Nutcracker next! The bat sidekick alone gave nightmares as a child. But the animation on everything like the rats, the children, the horse, and especially the nutcracker himself is absolutely insane.
Horses are known to be difficult to animate so this sounds fun!
Dude you have no idea how badass and satisfying that looked when she fanned that magic away. I mean if it's magic dust, it's still dust. It can be fanned away.
I recommend the very first Barbie movie, Barbie in the nutcracker, not only is it adding a crazy plot, with rock giants and talking bats, to an already crazy Christmas story, but it has one of the best, yet craziest, actors in it whose known for having such fun playing memorable villains, TIM CURRY!!!!
I loved the Barbie movies as a kid and I’m glad that now as an adult I can enjoy them this way
This movie has always been one of my favorites, I was 4 when it came out, so obviously I was the perfect demographic. I loved it so much, to the point that I walked down the aisle to the theme at my wedding. But man, watching this video really makes me laugh at how ridiculous it actually is.
Definitely one of my favorite Barbie movies! I also had the PS2 game, which was actually very fun 😊
Yes, Barbie movies and dolls don’t just have Barbie portrayed as many different careers, but the movies have her as various princesses that are expected to either marry or fulfill other things princesses would be forced to do their entire lives and contrast that with her desire to do normal things and actually have a life. It teaches girls that being who you want to be and having a fulfilling career is more valuable than being “a princess”, which comes with no goals or expectations beyond being fancy and pretty. Idk I like that
some of my favorites when i was younger were “barbie spy squad”, “barbie and the fairy secret” and “barbie and the three musketeers”, i also liked that one superhero one 😭
Even as a fan of Barbie movies i watched this one especially to make fun of with my brothers but honestly they are so good
Barbie in the Nutcracker, Barbie of Swan Lake, and Barbie as the princess and the pauper are three of my favorite Barbie movies ever. They still hold a place in my heart, even though the CGI hasn’t aged well.
YES! I need him to do the Island one and Swan Lake. I remember my mom needing to hide this movie, Swan Lake, and the Island Princess one where I couldn't find them because I kept watching them on repeat. Same for the soundtrack CDs too, cause I wouldn't stop listening to those for the longest time and it was driving my mom mad while she would hear it from me in the truck, in my room, in the living room, and anywhere else I could listen to it. LOL
Swan lake was the only Barbie movie I had in VHS so definitely the most nostalgic for me, glad to see I'm not the only one haha
What about the diamond castle one?
On that's my favourite wow I love Barbie 😁
Just love the Swan Lake because of the memories
Just kidding, just for the weird animals
The only Barbie movies I liked when I was little was Magic of the Pegasus and Swan Lake. I can only imagine how entertaining your videos on those would be 😂
I love the repeated line of "What is this a kids movie?" 😂
Never watched Barbie movies and I'm starting to see why I skipped them 😅
Always a fun ride with Alex
How ive never thought barbie movies were actually ridiculous until youve pointed them out beats me
i haven’t finished the video yet so idk if Alex mentions this but i just looked and saw that the incomparable MOIRA ROSE (Catherine O’Hara) voiced a character named Rowena in this movie! Was that the mom who died in child birth? or someone else?
edit: ok, i see Rowena is the etiquette lady
I loved the fairytopia trilogy!! Fairies, mermaids, fungi... there's nothing more you could ask for 🧚♀️🧜♂️🍄
Bibble!!!! 🧚🏻♀️😍
i loved mariposa! (no bibble i didnt like him)
@Sophie Helena I never watched Mariposa, after my time, but I loved watching the commercial for it on one of my DVDs
Was there no bibble eqivalent/sidekick?
Yes! Fairytopia was my favorite!
I only liked Mermaidia and Bibble's deep voice😂
Please do the Mariposa butterfly one 😂❤ its so deep in my lore lmao
Barbie in Swan Lake has a crazy unicorn! But Barbie Magic of Pegasus is my favorite. Also as a professional ballerina your description of it is spot on!
This is comedy gold, hahaha. I love this movie but I also love hearing Alex's opinion on this, worth every second. Try doing Magic of Pegasus or Swan Lake next, cant wait to see the next one XD
I don't even care if they made sense or not I still absolutely adore them.
