I know where your'e coming from. I had the gastric sleeve on the 9th Nov 2017 weighing at 137kg and iv'e slowly come down to 116Kg it's almost a year out and really slow and it's a daily battle. it's a constant struggle and i have stalled and stayed the same weight for four months. This constant fight is hard going physically mentally and emotionally. I wish i was where you are now. Keep it up girl !!!! don't give up your'e doing really well,; its a lifetime of watching and tracking.

Terri, I am one year post op and I too really struggle with the sweets and sugar addiction....I also rarely eat rice, bread and pasta....I don't miss them, but I literally crave donuts and cake and cookies, etc...Your video here echos so much of what I have said in my videos and truly feel, even to the point of feeling sadness when I see other videos where the people have lost so much I and haven't, and I also have questioned why didn't I get a bypass, thinking I would have lost more, because I wanted to have that dumping issue to deter me from sweets, but truth is my problem is a mental addiction as well as physical addiction to the sweets, and either way, I still have to overcome that addiction. That being said, alcoholics have an antibuse pill to deter them from drinking; I just wish they had a "antisweets" pill to deter me from eating sweets! Keep trying girl, and I'm glad I saw your video, it makes me realize I'm not alone in my struggle!

Hi I just found your video today. I'm still pre-op, but I too struggle with a major sweets addiction. Not sure if this will help for post-op, but what I've been doing is finding alternatives to the candy and sweets that I used to eat. My favorite so far is the power crunch bar. I'm sure you may have tried them (I haven't watched your other videos yet). Chocolate mint tastes like Girl Scout thin mints. And the peanut butter fudge tastes like nutty bars. They are thin and wafer like. Not like other protein bars. For ice cream try Arctic Zero or Halo Top. Another good one in small quantities is honey roasted peanuts. These all satisfy my sweet tooth. Are you subscribed to DreaVSG? She's got some great tips and lots of positive messages. Check out her latest. I'll pray for you. You can do this!

+TotalliTerri I just found your channel today. Unfortunately I haven't had my vsg surgery yet so I don't have any practical advice to offer, but I can certainly understand your struggle. I'm sure you have probably seen these videos but just wanted to double check, have you watch Dr Alvarez's youtube videos? I saw them but honestly never thoroughly watched them until this past weekend. They seem to be so helpful and you can ask him questions that he will answer in his videos. Wishing you well!
