So, if "BE" is the Hanja character that means "sadness", and we consider "cause" as a noun, that would make the meaning of this song's title as "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to loosely mean "the cause of sadness is I like you" (or in simpler words, "The reason I'm sad is because I like you). That's very deep & profound.

because has been my favourite dreamcatcher song since it was released, but today i found out it's inspired by the movie US and my mind is blown.... i've seen the movie but i never made the connection or noticed how the girls had doppelgangers in the video lol i feel pretty silly.
the line "its fine if you reject me, my other voice will call for you instead" is so creepy now, also gahyeon being jiu's mirror image that strangles her. also something not related to US is the BE in BEcause sounds like 悲 which is a chinese character meaning sadness, so the reason the girls are putting on the mask to deceive and seduce their object of attention is all because of sadness, which is super deep cos people with attachment issues from childhood may become toxic to seek attention in their adult life (kinda related to US tho since the main character did deceive her doppelgangers parents and her future husband)
anyway i thought i'd share this since its changed how i view the song and i hope anyone who also doesn't know can find this :)

My theory: as seen in the end of choreography all girls are standing in line with Gahyeon in the middle, they're standing opposite to their hair colors (Yoohyeon-Handong, Jiu-Dami, Sua-Siyeon) i think the girls are teared into 2 parts (normal and shadow) and Gahyeon is the only one that managed to escape this so she doesn't have a doppelganger (idk if I said it right)
Edit 1: at the beginning we can see gahyeon and Jiu reflecting each other, then suddenly Gahyeon grabs Jiu neck to probably k*** her, bc she knows that Jiu is a doppelganger, then at the hotel scene we see gahyeon smiling then it suddenly drops which can mean she's trying to blend in with doppelgangers in order to destroy them from the inside.
Edit2: scene with handong standing while the half of her body is laying behind the courtain (propably de*d)can mean that she is an doppelganger and she have slayed her other (normal) half.

I was confused at the start BEcause I thought that it was the same as the disorder - I figured this made sense since the members each represented a nightmare in their first series, hence us being unable to sleep.
But no, it's actually separate. The In part is English and the Somnia part is Latin for 'dreams'.
I guess that means it's pretty much the opposite meaning lmao

A win from Music shows will open new doors in South Korea. It could be anything. But, it doesn't make them better artists or less it's just a trophy of accomplishment. Dreamcatcher already had so many accomplishments that don't need a trophy to prove it. However, if want to see more content from DC in Korea. Somehow they need the trophy to be invited in big awards shows, some popular shows, etc.

wish they had more creepy songs and MVs, Chase Me era was soooo good, made them stand out from a pile of cute pink lovey dovey kpop girl groups. I understand going more mainstream means more views and it's a business so of course they'd want to take that path, but dark witchy powerful Dreamcatcher will always be my favorite.

And this is why Dreamcatcher is excellent. They are so criminally underrated. Their songs are really catchy and contain both magnificent vocals and sick raps. Their lyrics are always meaningful and rich of sense, full of parallels and tributes, it's always a great thing to look up the translations. Finally, their mvs; they are always so high quality. They are stunning and spectacular, attractive, addictively weird and spooky and so dark. The type of concept you don't see much and that's 1 thing more that makes them special. They deserve so much more. The girls also look frickin good omg ;-;

Did you all notice their stage outfits have a small pocket at the back for their microphones to be put on, because in what I remembered the girls always have troubles with their microphones falling in live stages. A win is significant for us bc they want to feel that they're being recognized in Korea. Before the debut, they fell behind so many groups, the company didn't give up and neither them. They took a risk and they chose to be an unconventional group. That comes with a lot of advantages and also disadvantages. Most of their fanbase is now international, but they care a lot about local success. That's why we're pushing this win everywhere. This is the least we can do for them. Please don't discourage other insomnias

They used a real location for the exteriors so not an expensive set. They also just recently renewed their contracts.
