The Astrobots won't set you back too much. The regular figure, drones, and female bots are all $65 each, while Vulkan is like $120, at least going by BBTS prices. Also I think you are one of the few people to notice the Great Saiyaman pose.
Most of the ironfactory stuff we did see in 2022 or 2021. I’m really excited for the liokaiser and cobra is a good touch, we don’t have much for liokaiser that’s easy to get these days it’s really overpriced so seeing the ironfactory version is awesome. I don’t think we have a price on the IF version yet just a rough size
The video teaser from Ocular Max was of a Devastator. So on top of Vectron Labs Devastator were also gonna be getting an Ocular Max (Mastermind Creations) Devastator on top of their Bruticus and Defensor. It's gonna be an interesting arms race if at all. My money's on MMC Devastator.
My big take aways... I have never heard anyone say they like the White Optimus Prime before. Usually it's Ultra Magnus in the armor that everyone like, the base figure on it's own I don't think has ever been a drawn for that character. If you like it that's fine, we all like different things and that's cool. I just personally always found white Optimus Prime to be really boring. Now if it was done in the original Diaclone Powered Convoy colors I actually like those colors with or without the Ultra Magnus armor. I just really don't like all white or mostly white figures because it washes out molded details and tends to yellow over time. I usually don't like FX parts. Hasbro was doing them for awhile too and I just have a bunch of them sitting in a pile on my desk. That said the Fallen actually looks really good and I always love when they remember that he's suppose to be on fire. That's how the Fallen should always look because he was originally designed to be a living furnace. And I actually did not even know that Overload could combine with the base mode. I never even use the base mode anyway cause I don't even like the base mode in fact I would not be at all upset if they designed an Armada Optimus Prime that just didn't even include the base mode. I think I had it in that mode ONCE and then it's always either been in trailer mode or pants mode the rest of the time I've owned the toys. (Yes I have both versions. Or at least I use to, I think I sold the original one and still have the Powerlinx version.) But yeah I had no clue until watching this video that Overload could combine with the base mode. I do know that Optimus, Jetfire, and Overload can combine in vehicle mode as well. Overload actually has two different connections so he can be towed by Optimus Prime's cab directly or plugged into the back of the trailer. Jetfire just sits on top of Overload and doesn't really connect in anywhere to hold him in place. Or if there is a way to actually secure Jetfire on top of Overload in vehicle mode I've never found it. I do actually love that there's a way to combine them in both vehicle and robot mode.

Joe VAMP, which of course had a Hound-decoed version in the 2013 SDCC crossover box set (the same one with the Jetfire Skystriker - the non-transforming toy that Harmony Gold finally sued Hasbro for over the decades-old Jetfire/Valkyrie kerfuffle - a strange hill for HG to die on, and die they did, getting the case tossed out with prejudice, so they can never sue Hasbro over Jetfire again - but I'm getting off track). 8:40 The vehicle is the Cobra Rattler, and the Combiner Wars figure was named Viper. Though the original Rattler toy, while inspired by the A-10, had a 3-engine configuration, two on the wings and one on top of the tail.
Personally my preference with 3rd party is when they go for a unique take on the character, or at least do something different with the design, like Iron Factory or that War Within Devastator that has the 4th mode as a bunch of cubes, if for no other reason than because they stand out, 'cause you are right, there are certain things, like the standard combiners, that have been done to death in 3rd party, and so many screen/page accurate figures are going for the same design so you end up looking at comparison pictures to see "oh that one looks slightly more like the show her but that one does that bit better" and when you finally make your choice... another one comes along 5 days later that's even better. At least the ones trying to be original, doing less common designs or putting their own spin on it stand apart from the others. For a start aside from the WW cube Devastator my favourite 3rd party take is still TFC's Hercules, cause he does his own spin and I think the proportions are really cool.
That Iron Factory Tarn is a COMBINER. They previously made a full set of accurate DJD that COMBINED into Tarn. These new ones are a recolour set so the combined form has Tarn's colours.

the seed figure is WAY more detailed as a robot planet than cell, like cell just looked like a bit ball of something with stuff hanging off of it but on seed, there's just so much more detail that you would see on a civilized robot moon planet thing

The 3p scene just doesn't impress me any more. So much of it is masterpiece knockoffs. And its always the same handful from 84 cast. Female seekers may in part be because of the current representation in EarthSpark. Skywarp and Nova Storm have both shown and have female presentation. Starscream has been teased but I don't think we have had a full reveal yet in the show.
On the subject of sexism in 3P, I’ve noticed a sort of opposite spectrum to sexualization where some companies only do female characters as cutesy chibi designs. Great as their stuff is, Iron Factory is heavily guilty of this

They’re a team that’s kind of been shafted by a lot of 3rd party and Hasbro themselves. If they’re a reasonable price, I may pick up a few. If I remember them when they come out. Also if they doing Japanese/samurai themed Beast Wars characters, they better do Tigatron and Airrazor at some point.
I too, prefer Hasbro product over Third Party but I enjoy both. My reasons are defintely not the same as yours, but I have to say, I think Studio Cell is much much better than Haslab Unicron
I think the fanstoys scourge is triggering a memory of X-transbots Scourge which looks very similar even with them being the same character. Infortunatly they will NOT be affordable, FT is one of the more expensive 3rd parties out there.
Fans hobby let me down with Jetfire. His solo bot mode is… whatever, but the combined mode makes Prime’s legs SO SKINNY compared to his trailer pants. It should be a beef up, not a slimming. 😢
To be totally honest I haven't seen anything that I actually liked. The nostalgia has ran its course to the point of no return. It's just the same ol same ol every year. The G1 aesthetics just doesnt do it for me. And every year the same companies come with the same characters that are just either bigger or smaller and cost more than the last. MMC just slap on different color scheme on the same mold, give another name, package and put it on the market. Where is a mpm sized Crosshairs, Dead end, the Wreckers, Que, etc from the movies? That's what I'd like to see. I'm waiting to see Alien Attack's Gundog/Hound and the Dreads on display. And Cogman. Hey, it's just my overall opinion. Tfcon is just blah!

Starscream has been shown just enough to confirm that this version is male. So far the only female take on Starscream is in the French dub of TF86
