I used to tag with wardlow on the indies. Great guy. Deserves a real opportunity. Had a great promo a little while back and they did nothing with it. Could have been a turning point moment for him.
Wardlow, Hook and ABSOLUTE Ricky Starks should all go to NXT. Tony Khan does not know how to book any of them and they would be much better off turning NXT into must watch TV. That would be the final nail in the coffin in NXT overtaking Dynamite in the ratings.
As much as I loved Wardlow, he's damaged goods thanks to Tony's awful booking. I felt bad when his bad booking was affecting his stock but when he signed another deal with Aew my sympathy was gone.
Wardlow should’ve wanted out when they had him rolled up by cm punk when he was in AEW I hear the saying sometimes the grass ain’t always greener on the other side but damnnn this is a situation where sometimes the grass is greener on the other side becuse his career is getting tarnished on the grass he’s on now he leaves aew I’m sure wwe and triple h will view him as the next Batista and book him as so and he becomes a big star
Aew is failing because they have no characters no wrestlers with personality or charisma they just use the ring as a trampoline. The reason why wcw was doing well in the 90s is becusse they were loaded with characters and storylines until they went down from there but aew is not meant for big men
I don’t blame him at all he needs to get the hell out of there and come to the wwe side he was perceived as the next Batista and they turned him into a clown I don’t use the term a lot but they buried him and I feel like it was on purpose what I take out of aew is that the company is not meant for big men but 5 foot 6 dudes doing flips dives and sequences instead of charcter work that is why aew is failing
No surprise. When I was trying to get a writing gig with AEW 2 years ago. I pitched a loser leave town match with him because I knew they were doing nothing with him. Also, cutting the dark order loose. 😂😂😂
Yup. Doesn’t help a lot of these newer wrestlers have this weird mentality of trying to make themselves and their opp look good. Brian cage had some heat with don callis in TNA cause he was told to go squash some lil dude and he ended up giving the guy 50/50 in the match.
Walt no lie that’s exactly how I be feeling like when I watch aew and I see a little guy vs a big guy I know the smaller guy is going to win it’s like we can see the future every match 😂
Wardlow would be a fool to think he can go to WWE and suddenly be a “bigger star” than he was in AEW. WWE has Bron Breaker, who is Wardlow but 10 years younger and with a family pedigree. Wardlow better figure out how to get a personality that shines through on TV or he won’t end up anywhere. He’s not solely being wasted because of TK, he’s not that interesting without someone stronger carrying him right now.
Ok what about Cody Rhodes? Jade cargill? Lexis King? Ethan page? You bringing up age but Cody is older than Wardlow & he's the face of company! Dragon Lee is a star and former champion in NXT.. all ex AEW stars.. in fact Ethan page is about to fight for the NXT title Two times! So yes Wardlow will be a mega star under HHH & Shawn Michaels. TK only proved that he likes vanilla midgets.. Even Shawn spears has been booked strong in NXT! You see a pattern here??
