- New York artist Laura Pergolizzi - best known by their stage name LP - visited The Current studio to play songs from their latest album, Love Lines.
Following the session, LP sat down for a conversation with Mac Wilson, where they chatted about what it was like to work with songwriter Dan Wilson, and how they and their bandmates set up a studio in the Cayman Islands where Love Lines was recorded.

I love LP very much like you all do. I'm aware of her talent and amazing vocals. But also as a fan I can tell when she's not performing like she used to, and that's normal due to the amount of years she had been singing and those high notes she usually hits. I've been thinking this for a while, the majority of LP's fans love Lost On You and had always known her for it, in concerts they expect LP to sing it. As a result she has been performing it for almost 8 years now. Imagine how damaging it can be to someone's vocal cords. And also I think LP should have taken a better care for herself in a day to day basis, and maybe not focusing in making such hard songs to sing live, even tho I know that is her style in general.
I would really like LP to rest for a while and recover vocally and her fans to support her work more in order for her to be able to rest. I loved her, I love her now, and I always will.

She is a professional and knows what she is doing. Undoubtedly, making art is a different job than being a waiter or a business manager. I don't doubt their professionalism either. Why worry about what you can't control.

Her voice will be changing with years, this is nature. I compare with Dame Shirley Bassey, her sonority went away.

@@user-fp4wn9rc1kО, Laura, приятно видеть Ваше красивое имя, Спасибо за Ваш отклик! Я, как и большое число поклонников LP, по мере возможности просматриваю видео с ней, всё, что нахожу. Да, мне интересно всё, что создают она и её команда, какой душевный порыв вызывают её песни и её выступления на публике. Не надо быть оракулом, чтобы понимать, что такой насыщенный график концертов (особенно в ноябре) - это огромная физическая и эмоциональная нагрузка для артиста, и LP никто не может заменить. Плюс контакты, большому числу фанатов так важно лично прикоснуться к ней, в лучшем случае просто сделать фото. Какой средний человек это выдержит. Конечно, с её огромным опытом артиста, она умеет построить свою программу так, чтобы хватило сил, и всё выступление было красивым, эмоциональным и запоминающимся. Просто в данном случае хорошо слышно, что ей очень тяжело, может усталость, а может и недомогание, даже скорее второе. Сейчас тур по Северной Америке позади, надеюсь, она быстро восстановится и порадует каким-нибудь интересным видео с прошедшего тура.
