I don’t know y or how my and my generation but I just love the feel of going down a hill when your on the board it’s not scary cause it’s a flow u can just go if u mess up u get back up it don’t matter how old you are
The reality of it is that there’s a balance when you hit the power slide that is just absolute bliss
@Jim Dandy @Jim Dandy The short of it, if you wanna start longboarding buy a board! If you're unsure what to get, CZcams is your friend and any questions you have can be answered with a quick search such as "what longboats do I buy?" There's plenty of info out there, but if you want to do slides the specific term for that kinda riding is called "freeride longboarding." I'd recommend getting a good size board, around 38" long and you can mix and match parts on it as you get used to it.
However, as with anyone else, if you pick up the hobby take it easy, just get used to being comfortable on a board and cruise back and forth from the shops, even without the gnarly slides and speed it can be very fun.
It’s actually not that bad if you wipe out while your center of gravity is already low to the ground. And the camera being lower gives the illusion they’re going much faster than they actually are.

I’m reasonable at hill bombing but this is a whole new level of I will die if I do this.
Yeah I still have things to live for, mad respect doe. Still can't brake cause of my sh*t balance but hopefully some day hills won't scare me so much.
Just keep on trying. I remember i didnt want to bomb any hills, i was challenged to do a hill for $20 and did it. Holy shit i loved it. Just go do a nearby hill whit a few friends. Wear protection especially helmets.

Pretty simple once you know how your board feels on the rain. Just screws up your deck but rain is fun. Sometimes you do get out of control tho

@@antonesbjornsson the First time i was longboarding i was smoking dope with some friends and they went down that extremely steep hill and i just thought fuck it i will do it too. I started speedwobling too but was some how able to control it until i was at the bottom. No safety or anything, wouldnt recommend. That was the dumbest shit i have ever done. But hey i got some MAD respect at least

i have 34 years old and started on skateboards by the first time like 5 months ago from now and have gone downhill at 60 km/h and are a "bit" scary... i dont have a great tuck yet and even a very pró longboard, in reality i build a longboard with a santa cruz street shape 8.0" and 180mm trucks... increasing the distance between the trucks... i think all is possible and if i training enought in some years maybe i can reach a decent speed too... good video!! i have 3 videos doing the donwhill on my channel and another video showing the santa cruz street longboard build process... take a look! im from Brazil, so sorry for my rough english!
